DOD Reveals Even More Troops Are Being Deployed to the Southern Border

On Friday, multiple outlets reported a Department of Defense official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said more service members would be deploying along the U.S.-Mexico border by March 1.

According to The Washington Post, 1,000 more personnel will be added, bringing the total force to around 6,000 active-duty and National Guardsmen. They will now be reinforcing and laying concertina wire beyond the points of entry.

“That mission has evolved,” the defense official told reporters. “We are now transitioning to supporting [areas] between the ports of entry. We’re laying down another 140 miles of concertina wire — we’re about 30 percent done with that — as well as providing a ground-based detection and monitoring mission in support of CBP.”

They will also continue providing medical support to migrants and helping transport border patrol via aircraft.

She was elected to Congress and while garbed in a hajib she placed her hand not on the Holy Bible as she was being sworn into office but on the most unholy of books, the qur'an. A practicing muslim basically radicalized against any and all not muslim...her allegiance lies not to the U.S. Constitution and it's stated words...words that are the law of our land...but to the sharia whose words and laws she truly believes trumps all.

SpaceX successfully sends Israel’s historic moon mission on its way

The first privately funded moon lander mission blasts off ready to make history.

On Thursday evening, just after 5:45 p.m. PT, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched a small spacecraft on its way to the moon from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. And if the little lander, known as Beresheet, makes it all the way to the lunar surface, it'll mark several milestones that've been years in the making. 

SpaceIL, the Israel-based nonprofit that's been working on the lander for eight years, is one of the original Google Lunar XPrize teams. Though the competition ended last year without a winner, SpaceIL is now poised to be the first among nearly 30 teams to make it to the moon on its own anyway. 

For SpaceX, the launch and retrieval of the Falcon 9 first stage was one of the most challenging returns to date. Weather conditions were extremely poor, but the reusable booster successfully landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship eight minutes after liftoff. This is the third time this particular booster has been sent up and successfully come back to Earth and, according to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, the highest re-entry heating to date. The booster will fly for a fourth time in a planned in-flight abort test later this year.
