NY Cops “We Fear For Our Lives” – Citations Down 94%
Police in New York City are reacting to threats with an unspoken moratorium on local arrests.
It’s not a slowdown — it’s a virtual work stoppage.
NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops — as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.
The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor Bill de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.”
But an anonymous source on the police force has admitted to the Huffington Post that out of fear for their lives, citations have all but ceased.
I’m not writing any summonses. Do you think I’m going to stand there so someone can shoot me or hit me in the head with an ax?” a cop, who was granted anonymity by the Post, said. “I’m concerned about my safety. I want to go to home to my wife and kids.”
So does everybody else.... Gotta remember that when out revenueing for the same evil entity that turned its back on you. We are all people with families we need to go home to. Nobody should die over some arbitrary citation/extortion.... Whatever happens to no victim no crime? I pray for peace and for us to wake up and get right with our holy and just God who loves us.
