As I write this, it's now been almost a week since Democrat Socialist (read communist here), islamist condoning, and liar extraordinaire Zohran Mamdani was elected as New York City's mayor, thus allowing me time to think about and digest not only the facts as to the whys he was elected mayor, but the sure to come ramifications as well. And know these ramifications will affect not just New York City itself, but the entirety of our beloved America as well...one just has to look to the United Kingdom and see London as their nation's sad truth.
So let me start by stating the fact that if NewYorkers had done the right thing and voted using common sense and logic; if New Yorkers had voted based upon the candidate's merits, abilities, and workable solutions for New York City's sadly growing list of problems, the city's now sure to come downfall...which has actually started as wealthy New Yorkers start permanently heading south...might well have been avoided.
But unfortunately, as is usually the case, the misplaced lure of freebies, handouts, and their ignoring the free-for-all criminal chaos going unpunished, peppered the voters choice instead, as did the “R” placed after Sliwa's name. And all this together helped to bring out, en-mass, the multitude of young indoctrinated “Trump Derangement Syndrome” voters, thus allowing antisemite Zohran Mandani to become mayor instead.
And also, in my opinion...an opinion that might raise the ire of some...is that part of the blame for Curtis Sliwa not becoming New York City's mayor should, in part, be placed squarely on Republican political leaders shoulders. Why so...because the Republican hierarchy...neither on the city, the state, nor the federal level...publicly stood behind and/or officially endorsed Curtis Sliwa's candidacy nor did they recognize his many past accomplishments. And that, sadly, includes President Trump who has, at times, publicly endorsed or at least thrown his outward support behind lesser known, lower level Republican candidates running in non-national elections, but here he did not.
And what exactly were some of Curtis Sliwa's many accomplishments that were ignored, unmentioned, or simply went unnoticed? How about the fact that Sliwa helped in the creating and founding of the “Guardian Angels” a world renown, non-uniformed, citizen patrol organization that helps police combat crime and violence in New York City and elsewhere, but whose “Guardian Angels” adjunct programs has helped in not only the creating of after-school programs for troubled teens, but has advocated for policies related to all important public safety and fair housing for all, as well as being an animal rights advocate, and radio talk show host.
Also, when younger, Curtis Sliwa created one of the first U.S. recycling centers when he was just 14 years old, and at age 15 Sliwa put his own life in danger when he heroically rescued a family from a burning building .
Four little words that must also share in part by others. Remember, Curtis Sliwa's loss does also partially lie at the feet of “big money” Republican donors who did not rally behind Sliwa no matter their knowing that New York City is our nation;s and the world's financial capital, and could well affect their own pocketbooks. How so...because Mamdani promised throughout the campaign to “raise taxes on the rich” in order to give their money to those with their hands out for even more “free stuff.”
And with campaigns costing money...lots of money...especially when running in a high profile city like New York City, this combined with all that was previously stated is a big part of why Curtis Sliwa lost whether some want to believe it or not. And also know that his campaign hit a major roadblock when many prominent New York City Republicans urged Sliwa to drop out of the race so as to give New York's former Governor Andrew Cuomo at least a chance of beating Mamdani.
But what these misguided folks did not take into account is that the majority of hardcore Curtis Sliwa supporters would stay faithful to their man on principal even while knowing that sometimes one might be faced with having to vote for the lesser of two evils.
And such was the case with Andrew Cuomo who served eleven years as governor only to resign in disgrace due to sexual harassment allegations being leveled against him...that man only switched parties to run for mayor as an “independent” because ever so unwise New York gives a candidate a second chance in the general election if they lost their primary's nomination. Pandering to a bunch of thumb sucking, liberal Democrat crybabies is more like it I'd say. But forgotten by Cuomo in his party switch is the fact that “independent candidates” never draw big numbers in “blue Democrat states” like New York, and probably never will.
Simply stated, in the minds of many Curtis Sliwa's supporters...a vote for Andrew Cuomo...no matter Trump's endorsement...would most definitely be but a vote for the lesser of two evils. And here I do applaud them...no matter the outcome...for they stood behind their principals and core values, something we need more of in these most trying of times. And it's these very times that now sees Uganda born Zohran Mamdani, the self professed, foolishly proud to be “nepo baby”...as in one who has achieved what they consider to be success based solely on account of having a well-known, wealthy, and/or influential parent or relative...having become New York City mayor.
A “nepo baby”
indeed for Zohran Mamdani has failed at almost everything he
previously attempted. For example, the now mayor failed at being a
rapper (gag me please), a musician; and even a low level political
campaign manager. In fact, since 2014, the year Mamdani graduated
from Bowdoin College with a degree in African Studies, he has only
been gainfully employed for a mere three years. Says a lot now
doesn't it...says a lot the media all but ignored... says a lot about
Mamdani not having any tangible qualifications to be mayor...says a
lot about the man who considers himself to be but a political “demigod” of sorts. How so... because Zohran Mandani fits the very definition of
one, as in he who seeks political support and power by appealing to
popular desires, prejudices, and fears rather than by using rational
arguments and tangible realities to attract supporters.
And yet this is the man New Yorkers foolishly elected to run not just America's financial center, but its media, and cultural center as well. This is the city whose residents will now bear witness to even more far left progressives, avowed socialists, all-out communists, and overt antisemites* being appointed by Mamdani to help him run both New York City's political and monetary machine...talk about a fast walk into Hell.
“My aunt did not feel safe in hijab after 9/11.” - Zohran Mamdani pre-election words claiming that his aunt and folks like her were 9/11's true victims.
And to that I will add that with this election having gone to the man who deems himself to be a Democrat Socialist when in reality he's a communist... any New Yorker no matter their race, their political party, or their religious affiliation or lack thereof who voted for this man to be mayor should be ashamed of themselves. Why so...because the lies Mamdani spewed and the promises he made while campaigning were but pages torn directly from the communist manifesto. And it's these pages alone that will dictate New York City's and hence all New Yorkers everyday soon to come dangerous new norms for the next four long years, Simply, as New York City starts to fall those who voted for him will have no one to blame but themselves.
And if we see that particular truth with our eyes wide open, and while New York City might indeed become our version of London, it just might help we patriots to strengthen what is and must remain our Constitutional republic... Zohran Mamdani and his communist loving cohorts be damned. Case closed.

* Two of Mamdani's overtly antisemitic acts include that as a college student he led an Israeli academic boycott, and as an Assembly member Mamdani was one of five persons who did not sign resolutions condemning the Holocaust and honoring Israel's Independence Day.
