[[[ Three days to go, and as we all know President Trump has again been repeating "ad-nauseam" that the Iran War will either "end soon” or "when I say it will end." Such useless ego-driven words now being spewed in recurring rotation, along with words like, "we're going to hit them hard if they don't comply"...words I'm surely not going to hold my breath for.
And while a few bombs might "go boom" somewhere in Iran in the days or immediate weeks following the midterm election...just so Trump can "save some semblance of face"...Trump's "six weeks tops" war rhetoric spoken earlier this year will have come back to haunt. Why so...because when this war's 47.1 billions of dollars spent with its price tag still growing is coupled with what many consider Trump's mishandling of the war itself (and those numbers are continuing to rise contrary to what the die-hard "Trumpers" say) actually has directly resulted in home-based economics not being just in play in a very politically negative way, but has been the main contributor to the current rise in inflation...which many economists sadly now feel will rise even higher in 2027...along with inflation itself now negating out both job numbers gained and salary increases garnered.
And while I obviously do NOT want to see we Republicans losing the midterm election, I am smart enough to know two things...first, that the "pocketbook" NOT even Iran's ongoing nuclear ambitions or even its continuing terrorist mindset is what currently weighs heavy on the minds of most Americans...and second, I could well be wrong and that we do keep both the House and Senate in spite of Trump's faux-pas...what would be a miracle indeed. However, as one who does not put much stock in what in this case would be a political miracle, the best I'm hoping for is that we at least keep the Senate.
Only time will tell, but please do get out and vote...it is a duty we should all hold sacred in honor of those who sacrificed their lives for us to be able to do so. ]]]
