A Constitutional Truth Ignored and A Dangerous Misconception

The United States Constitution is the greatest testament to freedom ever constructed and codified, and yet it often finds its words being misinterpreted or simply ignored by those who deem it either irrelevant or outdated in these modern times. And then there's those who twist its words to meet a given political or religious agenda; while state courts tend to see conflicts between their and federal authority as it pertains to the actual applications of Constitutional law. But in today's volatile world the Constitution's actual intent has come into play both by the religious sorts who still see the Holy Bible as trumping Constitutional law even in secular matters; and by those who believe that they can throw its words aside in a game of what is false altruism, especially if it helps to garner their political party's now hoped for “grab of power.”

So here I will first focus on the wanted by some religious inclusion into what the Constitution deems to be our “secular” governance and law.

“The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.” The “Treaty of Tripoli,” submitted to the Senate in 1805 by then President John Adams.

So as we're now less then a year away from America's 250th birthday...a day for both joyous celebration and reflection on who we are as a nation and as a people... it's also a day to acknowledge that while our nation was born not from religious conflict in the classic sense it still, nevertheless, bore the markings of a religious conflict in some ways. How so...because the original British colonists who came to the “New World” were, for the most part, seeking refuge from not just the autocratic rule of the kings of England, but from what was a theocratic style of government where thanks to power hungry Henry VlII and his 1534 “Act of Supremacy,” England not only broke away from the Catholic Church, but Henry deemed himself and all future British kings to be the head of what then became the “Church of England.”

And so, Henry VIII gave to himself unlimited power by mingling together both religion and governance seeing England becoming a theocracy in principal, the very thing our “Founders and Framers” abhorred. And thus they formed a “secular” government where freedom of religion was to be just as accepted as “freedom from religion” in regards to the roll religion played in our new government or their hoped for lack thereof.

We know our “Founders and Framers”...some of the Christian faith, some deists, and a few actually nonbelievers...designed the Constitution to be the “rule of law” as it pertained to their agreed upon founding principal of “separation of Church and State.” No one religion was deemed to be our new nation's “state religion,” while the “Establishment Clause” prevented the government from favoring one religion over another. In fact, no specific religion or even “God” himself was mentioned by any given name other than the ubiquitous word “Creator”...a word deliberately chosen to leave its meaning open to one's individual beliefs and/or personal interpretation.

A well thought out and applied concept that was driven by what was then deemed to be “enlightenment”...as in the European “intellectual movement” of the late 17th and 18th centuries that emphasized both “reason” and “individualism” rather than simple religious traditions and/or blind following. These ideas were embraced by many of not only our “Founders and Framers,” but by the general population as well.

And in their embracing of “enlightenment” our “Founders and Framers” actually did strive for a “pluralistic society” of sorts...a society where differences of both faith and ideologies would be accepted if they not only served the common good, but followed the actual rule of law that was intended to be “secular” in nature. Simply, our “Founders and Framers” wanted to put aside religious doctrines, tenets, dogma, and beliefs in all matters of actual governance while at the same time protecting the individual's right to believe as one chose to believe...or chose not to believe at all.

Simply, at the time of the Constitution's writing what was to become our new nation was tired of war in general, as well as being tired of all the oppressive orders, both religious and otherwise, being mandated from Britain's King James' autocratic based theocracy that lay “across the pond.” And in their wisdom and foresight these four main Constitution “Framers” openly advocated for “separation of Church and State.”

1. James Madison, a delegate to the Virginia Convention of 1776, was chosen to be the “Architect of the Constitution” and is now more commonly known as the “Father of the Constitution.” Madison was an advocate for a strong yet limited federal government, and was also the chief proponent of a “separation of Church and State” saying that“separation” would “keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries”

2. Thomas Jefferson, believed religion was a “personal matter” that should be kept “separate” from political affairs. Saying“separation” was“essential to protect both religion and government from corruption,” and thus “would protect both religious and non-religious citizens,” it was Jefferson's ideas on “individual rights” and “limited government” that helped to shape the first ten amendments of the “Bill of Rights.”

3. Benjamin Franklin not only promoted “deism” and criticized “organized religion,” but he believed that morality could exist “independently” from religion. Also believing that government should not interfere in religious matters, Franklin believed that a “secular government” could “better promote peace and unity among diverse faiths,” and thus was able to secure the needed consensus amongst the Constitutional Convention's delegates.

4. Alexander Hamilton, whose writings reflect a “commitment to pluralism and tolerance in society,” believed that religion could coexist with government but that it must be without any direct involvement. Hamilton also deemed“separation of Church and State” as essential in preventing religious conflict and tyranny, and publicly advocated for a “secular government framework.” while being seen as a driving force behind the Constitution’s final ratification.

Simply, what these wise men were proposing and what became Constitutional law was that religion must be kept out of government while government must be kept out of religion...a fair and equal trade indeed. But sadly, we now find some very vocal sorts wanting one specific religion and their interpretation of it to become an integral part of our government from the local to the state to the federal level, basically trying to put their religious views over Constitutional law. This is something “We the People” must never allow let alone be open to discussion, for if this were to happen our beloved America could well become just like the theocratic based governments our “Founders and Framers” sought refuge from.

So here let's now switch gears and now focus on the misconceptions regarding both illegal immigration and the now in effect deportations of the worst of the illegal criminal element type.

“I am going to create a new special deportation task force, focused on identifying and removing quickly the most dangerous criminal illegal immigrants in America.” - President Donald J. Trump in 2016 during his first term in office.

And while the original Constitution did not address “immigration” in the same way as it addressed the aforementioned “separation of Church and State,” several key Constitutional provisions adopted years after its ratification does address the issue. For example, Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress not only the power to establish a “uniform rule of naturalization,” but allows Congress to set the “criteria and process” for one becoming a U.S. citizen. The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, guarantees “equal protection” under the law to all including immigrants and non-citizens, while both the 5th and 14th Amendments provide “due process” rights to all persons, regardless of their immigration status. Simply, this is taken to mean that all immigrants are entitled to certain legal protections.

But in today's reality the fact does remain that what are true “immigrants” are few and far between for the vast majority of those having entered into our county during the four horrendous Biden years were what amounts to an “invading army” of persons “non-grata”...as in those sorts here only for their Biden promised “free stuff” in exchange for their vote...with a not so healthy dose of murder committing gang members and even terrorists embedded amongst them.

So what does the Constitution say about removing these vile sorts from our country? Unfortunately, at the time of the Constitution's writing immigration was not an issue that our “Founders and Framers” addressed. However, the still in effect“Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965” does outline the procedures for deportation. So while the Constitution itself does not explicitly address the deportation of illegals, it does allow for the “enforcement” of our on the books immigration laws whether they be based upon federal or state policies.

And to that affect President Trump is deporting these “persons non-grata”...specifically gang members... with some actually being convicted rapists and murderers... by his retroactively applying the on-the-books process known as “expedited removal,” with said removal being the legal process that allows immigration authorities... as in I.C.E agents...to arrest and “rapidly deport” these undocumented anything but lawful immigrants, and to do so without these folks having access to a full court hearing before a U.S. immigration judge.

Desperate times do indeed call for desperate measures.

So here the question now becomes, is President Trump legally allowed to order the deportation of these persons without “due process?” I believe the answer to be a resounding YES for these individuals not only pose a direct danger to the “health, safety, and welfare” of “We American citizens”...the very people Trump took an oath to protect...while also presenting a threat to our national security and overall public safety while at the same time undermining the very integrity of our U.S. immigration laws.

And here is where misconceptions abound for while bleeding heart liberal politicians and their media cohorts want you to believe that these what they call “undocumented migrants” are just poor misunderstood folks, the fact remains that since their unfettered arrival during the Biden years, over 527,459+ actual arrests of illegals, to date, have been made. And that does not include the 1,141,047 detentions of illegals with known criminal convictions or those with pending criminal charges, as well as those with no current convictions or pending charges but who have knowingly and willingly broken U.S. immigration laws. And whether the said illegals detentions are short or long term, the verified numbers I presented should scare every law abiding American citizen while the reality of the situation hopefully starts to sink in.

Simply, no matter what the liberal media reports to be truth, no matter what Democrat politicians claim to be truth, truth is not a concept either of them take to heart. And when it comes to illegals and their right...or their lack thereof ...to “due process” we cannot and must not accept at face value anything either of them have to say. And why so...because misconceptions by its very nature does tend to cater to public sentiment instead of to what is usually verifiable truth, for truth is as foreign to these sorts as is the art of deception to we American patriots.

And so we now, as a nation, stand on a dangerous precipice where Constitutional truth regarding the “separation of Church and State” fights with misconceptions regarding the deportation of criminal illegal aliens. And while those specific issues remain quite different in nature, it's important to remember the fact that what truly is important is that Constitutional law alone...whether it be its original text or amendments added after the fact...does remain the highest law of our land. Case closed.

Fueling the Fires of Catholic and Jewish Hatred

“I am for freedom of religion, & against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another.”                                              - Thomas Jefferson's words in a letter to Elbridge Gerry, dated January 26, 1799 

Wise words indeed for the great Thomas Jefferson understood well both the positives and the negatives associated with religion. In fact, Jefferson saw the multitudes of the world's religions as being but “sects”...and how a“sect” could easily intrude into what should be the government's secular matters thus negatively and “violently” affecting our then new nation. And while James Madison took his feelings even further by vigorously opposing religious intrusions of any kind into what were deemed to be any and all “civil affairs,” it was Thomas Paine...an avowed “deist” and author of “The Age of Reason”...who took a more what I call “modern and realistic approach” to organized religion deeming it to be but, “a human invention used to control and oppress people,” and that religion itself was based upon “fear and superstition rather than reason and truth.”

Honestly, I cannot say that I disagree with any of those learned gentlemen for the recent actions taken by a number of Americans against those of the Jewish faith...especially Jews in support of Israel's “right to exist and its war against Hamas... seems not to be just an increasing trend but a trend that is becoming more violent in nature by the day, while at the same time becoming deeply entwined in the political discourse...Thomas Jefferson's previously stated warning words come to life. And said violence has now reached a point where some of the Jewish faith have literally been set on fire for no other reason than they are Jews, as now can be witnessed by the recent event in Boulder, Colorado; as well as this past May's cold-blooded gun murders of two young Jews in Washington, DC as they left a Jewish museum function.

And while the first heinous act was committed by one Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year old illegal alien from Egypt who had overstayed his visa and whose allegiance was to the “U.S. designated terrorist group” known as the “Muslim Brotherhood;” the second aforementioned act was committed by Elias Rodriguez, a 31-year old man from Chicago... who is, what I deem to be, a homegrown “piece of human garbage”...as his actions were just as vile in both intent and outcome. But let's not forget that this current, deep seated hatred of Jews...hate that had somewhat started to temper down a bit...was and still is being fueled by the Democrats condoning of the anti-Israel riots on American college and university campuses where bleeding heart, liberal Democrat professors started deeming Israel to be the perpetrator and the anything but innocent Palestinians... Gazans as some like to call themselves...to be the victims of the very war Hamas themselves started on October 7, 2023. 

So while the two present day acts I just stated are rightfully still part of the media's current discourse, albeit handled quite differently by conservative vs. the liberal news media, the sad fact remains that while Jew hatred is the most prevalent and visual form of religious hatred in our country today, they are not the only ones feeling the aura of hate, for now also being singled out for hateful rhetoric... most especially on “certain” social media sites and done so by “certain” individuals...is America's Roman Catholics and Catholicism itself. And what's most disconcerting about this is that it's being done primarily by a “certain segment” of folks within the generalized Christian population...folks who relish in calling the Roman Catholic church the “false church,” and who view the Pope and the the papacy itself as an “institution not of divine origin.”

And who exactly are these sorts who judge and condemn what are their own fellow Christians? Mostly we see those folks being what some call “Fundamentalist”*...as in those who adhere to a literal “word for word” interpretation of the Bible as well as the Bible being above all else including our Constitution. Separation between church and state seems not to exist for them, and while “freedom of religion” is important to them as long as ones beliefs are their beliefs, “freedom from religion” or even the acceptance of a different religion, is not part of their accepted discourse.

These folks are unwavering in their beliefs and condemn any Christian denomination who does not believe as they do, and thus have taken it upon themselves to deem that Catholics choose not to put what they call “the authority of the Bible” over all things both religious and secular. And they constantly criticize and degrade the Catholic Church's sacraments and practices regarding key doctrines, along with the role of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church in interpreting scripture, most especially in regards to the “nature of salvation.” And why so...because Catholics believe “salvation” involves both “faith and works,” while “Fundamentalists” claim this contradicts their self-perceived “doctrine of grace” as in through faith alone.

In other words, this particular group of Christians is degrading, criticizing, and judging both Catholicism and Catholics over word semantics by their willfully trying to usurp the meaning of the Bible's words via their interpretation alone as being but “gospel” truth. A sad commentary indeed, and one that might come back to haunt, for in their pseudo-piousness they have forgotten the words of Mathew 7:1-2, ”Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

So much for uniting the faithful...instead those like the “Fundamentalists,” and a few other of the so-called Christian “sects,” are actually dividing the faithful and deliberately doing so via threats of eternal damnation if you don't believe as they do.

And by the way, these are the same folks who continue on in their efforts to try to coerce those of the Jewish faith to accept Christ as their “Lord and Savior” or face eternal damnation in Hell. However, what these misguided folks willingly choose to ignore is the fact that those of the Jewish faith do not believe that anyone needs to be “saved” from anything or brought to any particular path...as in Jesus...to avoid what the others call “Hell” or even to be one with God. That is a Christian belief alone.

In fact, the Jewish belief in regards to “salvation”  and “Hell” is that “salvation” is but “collective and national,” not “personal and individual.” Simply, a focusing on the sum of the people not on the one, which is quite interesting as it removes both vanity and selfishness...as in the “it's all about me” type of scenario...from the religious discourse. And in regards to “Hell”...to those of the Jewish faith “Hell” is not nor has it ever been a central doctrine in the faith nor is it a place of so-called eternal torment and damnation, but is a temporary spiritual place alone...a place called “Gehinnom.” where ones soul is spiritually “cleansed” from sins and bad deeds committed but not atoned for in life, and done so before they enter “a state of unity” with God.

And this kind of reinforces Thomas Paine's words in regards to religion being but “fear and superstition rather than reason and truth,” for the truth is that while Jesus is the “Savior” for some, he is not nor does he have to be the “Savior” for all...that is if a “Savior” is even needed at all.

So now as with Jewish synagogues and schools; Catholic churches, schools, and institutions have also seen a rise in the number of acts of hostility, violence, vandalism, and religious desecration also  being committed against them, but thankfully no Catholics have been set on fire, and hopefully never will be. However, it saddens me to say that it remains a few vocal, self-proclaimed “God Police” segments of their fellow Christians who are helping to spread Catholic hatred, which in turn has joined Judaism to become part of today's hate filled religious discourse.

But what these “Holier Than Thou” sorts seem to forget is that while they view both Catholics and Jews as the ones who need “saving” they best look in the mirror for the distorted reflection staring back at them will be their own. And as the bond between Catholics and Jews grows stronger, and while the Catholic Church continues to see those of the Jewish faith as their “elder brothers and sisters” and “forebearer's in faith,” the others choose to damn both faiths which only serves to fuel the hate that helps to fan the fires of both violence and death.

So maybe for the above stated reasons alone is why our “Founders and Framers” wanted not only a complete “separation of church and state,” but for the aforementioned “freedom from religion” to be as important as “freedom of religion.” And in today's volatile world with its increasing acts of religious based violence entering into the political discourse, it shows just how dangerous it has becomes when hate and coercion actually works to meld both religion and government together. 

And so with us now seeing deliberately instigated religious divisiveness against both Catholics and Jews becoming a dangerous and seemingly acceptable new norm...a norm that has become all to commonplace...logic alone dictates that when a collective of hate and condemnation is used against specific groups of people, at a specifically given time, for a specifically given purpose, said purpose will usually not end well for more folks than not. Case closed.

Hate spewed in God's name

How dare they...who do these 'supposed' men of the cloth and some 'wanna be' and currently elected politicians think they are. And when you add in some who in their minds only think of themselves as 'political celebrities' of sorts...you get persons who have set themselves up as judge and jury over a small percentage of the American population.

And the examples I'm cited below are just the tip of an ever expanding iceberg.

Scott Esk, a Republican Tea Party candidate from Oklahoma, got into a heated back-and-forth discussion on Facebook last year when he called for the killing...YES killing...of gay Americans.

“I think we would be totally in the right to do it...That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and I’m largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss,” he said.

LIE!

Mississippi State Rep. Andy Gipson spewed on his Facebook page a Bible verse from Leviticus that called for gays to be stoned to death...then took it back after being chastised for his comment but ONLY because he was called to task for it.

Pastor James David Manning said in a YouTube video that Christians who do NOT attack gays are "advocating lawlessness. Stoning of the homos is now in order. Stoning is still the law."

This said in the name of God all while Manning had the audacity to preach the word of God.

And when at this year's Rose Bowl Parade a gay wedding took place on one of the floats, Pastor Dave Buehner strongly 'suggested' that anti-gay activists be represented at these types of parades from here on. Saying, “I wonder what the Rose Bowl parade would do if we had the stoning of a homosexual along the parade just as an expression of free speech and all that," his vileness seeps through with every word.

Just think about those words...really think about them...and if you don't find those words spewed by an ubber right supposedly Christian man of the cloth pure hateful...as they call for what amounts to the execution of a gay person while Bible verses are being quoted...then you are as guilty of the 'hate' as he is. And this man also called for government officials to step in and arrest gays just for being who they are both before and after said parades would be going on.

And even sadder is that certain 'self-anointed' leaders of the Conservative movement on Facebook and on the internet spew the same garbage but in a folksy homespun sort of way, but their message of hate in the end is quite the same.

And all this hate is done in the name of the Evangelical Church...notice I said church NOT...I repeat NOT...in the name of its followers...just want to make that point clear. But also know that a certain percentage of said church's followers also hold this anything but Godly view.

The wanted weapon of the 'haters'

Stoning...these people are actually calling for the stoning of fellow Americans... calling for the MURDER of fellow Americans all because of a mistranslation of a Biblical verse in the King James Bible...a mistranslation by those who set the words down on paper...and please do NOT claim that God dipped his quill pen in ink and guided the hand of the transcribers for NO such thing happened as this Bible was written for political reasons alone.

The King James Bible was commissioned by King James 1 in 1604, at the Hampton Court Conference. Done like I said for political reasons...as in to appease the very vocal yet highly educated Puritan minority...and to counter what James himself considered 'supposed' inconsistencies in both the Geneva and Bishops Court Bible, this one man took it upon himself to disregard all versions that came before. Saying he, "Could never yet see a Bible well translated in English; but I think that, of all, that of Geneva is the worst. I wish some special pains were taken for an uniform translation, which should be done by the best learned men in both Universities, then reviewed by the Bishops, presented to the Privy Council, lastly ratified by the Royal authority, to be read in the whole Church, and none other," this man anointed himself the sole keeper and arbitrator of God's word. 

"...ratified by Royal authority" meaning James 1...as King...could change the transcribed words as he saw fit and as many times as he wanted...setting his version above all others never mind all the mistranslations within his version as well.

LIE!

Written by men...mistranslated by men...and approved by one man alone...this Bible became the authority by which today's 'haters'...both political and clerical... love to quote the words of God. And these 'haters' have so twisted the words "love the sinner, hate the sin" as to condone MURDER in the name of God.

MURDER with the 'supposed' approval of God...the most grievous of all sins is one I think God would be most unhappy with for we are supposed to "love thy neighbor" NOT pick and choose which neighbor we are to do so with. And these pastors... even more so than the politicians...most of whom just spew the hate gay message for votes...are extremely dangerous as they lure people into their churches...into their Facebook world...with words from the Bible and then turn God's message of love and acceptance into their own personal version of hate...and like lambs to the slaughter the weak and the blind followers swallow it hook, line, and sinker.

And this call for 'death to all gays' is fueled on by folks who must fear something in themselves for how can they honestly believe that a mere two percent of the American population is more of a threat to our nation than is Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his pen and phone...or that islam and sharia must take a backseat to their self-perceived 'gay problem'...and yet they do. And they do so by wanting to MURDER gay people by stoning...stoning...just like the muslim bast*rds do to those they don't like.

And these same folks worship at the feet of those who espouse this hate...men who do so solely to line their own pockets by 'whoring' themselves out to the almighty dollar and for Facebook 'numbers and likes.' And these 'haters' consider themselves part of the Evangelical Church... sounds more like the Evangelical mosque if you ask me.

TRUTH!

And NO true conservative...NO true American... would call for a punishment that’s equated with sharia law...for sharia law is used as punishment only in the muslim cesspools of the world and must NEVER be allowed or condoned here in America. And always remember, our Declaration of Independence says "all men are created equal"...ALL men...NOT just straight men or white men or black men or yellow men or red men (and know that 'men' is used in the all-encompassing sense so I do NOT want to hear the whining of the women's libbers here)...meaning ALL men of ALL colors and ALL sexual orientations.

So while stoning is indeed mentioned in the Bible, the Bible is NOT the rule of law in our nation nor should it ever be, and true Conservatives and TEA Partiers know this. True Conservatives and TEA Partiers alike are all about the Constitution and the Constitution alone making us a nation of secular laws...laws that encompass everyone NOT any one particular religion's laws. Remember, our Founders while believers in God NEVER intended America to be a nation of Biblical laws...as the Founders knew the Bible's laws were written to a different people, in a different time, in a different culture...written thousands of years before the founding of this country.

And the TEA Party does NOT need those who think otherwise for the TEA Party was NEVER intended to be about religion. The TEA Party was founded upon the principals of 'Taxed Enough Already' and adherence to the rule of law that is the Constitution...period. And to those who are trying to make it otherwise...you will destroy the TEA Party movement by trying to make it so...but then again maybe that was your true goal right from the start.

So to those who spew hate...to those who spew LIES...in God's name, you really need to keep your hate to yourselves for you are going against the very country and its laws that you claim to so love...against the very country that has afforded you the right to spew your hate. Shame on you and shame on all those who join in that hate. I wonder how God will judge you on your Judgment Day. Bet you'll be in for one 'hell' of a rude awakening ...as in better pack light for it will be hot where I believe you'll be going.

And to all of you who still believe after all I've said that gays should be stoned to death, think of what Jesus said when confronted by an angry crowd, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Bet none of you 'haters' are sinless...just saying.
