A Constitutional Truth Ignored and A Dangerous Misconception
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio

The United States Constitution is the greatest testament to freedom ever constructed and codified, and yet it often finds its words being misinterpreted or simply ignored by those who deem it either irrelevant or outdated in these modern times. And then there's those who twist its words to meet a given political or religious agenda; while state courts tend to see conflicts between their and federal authority as it pertains to the actual applications of Constitutional law. But in today's volatile world the Constitution's actual intent has come into play both by the religious sorts who still see the Holy Bible as trumping Constitutional law even in secular matters; and by those who believe that they can throw its words aside in a game of what is false altruism, especially if it helps to garner their political party's now hoped for “grab of power.”

So here I will first focus on the wanted by some religious inclusion into what the Constitution deems to be our “secular” governance and law.

“The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.” The “Treaty of Tripoli,” submitted to the Senate in 1805 by then President John Adams.

So as we're now less then a year away from America's 250th birthday...a day for both joyous celebration and reflection on who we are as a nation and as a people... it's also a day to acknowledge that while our nation was born not from religious conflict in the classic sense it still, nevertheless, bore the markings of a religious conflict in some ways. How so...because the original British colonists who came to the “New World” were, for the most part, seeking refuge from not just the autocratic rule of the kings of England, but from what was a theocratic style of government where thanks to power hungry Henry VlII and his 1534 “Act of Supremacy,” England not only broke away from the Catholic Church, but Henry deemed himself and all future British kings to be the head of what then became the “Church of England.”

And so, Henry VIII gave to himself unlimited power by mingling together both religion and governance seeing England becoming a theocracy in principal, the very thing our “Founders and Framers” abhorred. And thus they formed a “secular” government where freedom of religion was to be just as accepted as “freedom from religion” in regards to the roll religion played in our new government or their hoped for lack thereof.

We know our “Founders and Framers”...some of the Christian faith, some deists, and a few actually nonbelievers...designed the Constitution to be the “rule of law” as it pertained to their agreed upon founding principal of “separation of Church and State.” No one religion was deemed to be our new nation's “state religion,” while the “Establishment Clause” prevented the government from favoring one religion over another. In fact, no specific religion or even “God” himself was mentioned by any given name other than the ubiquitous word “Creator”...a word deliberately chosen to leave its meaning open to one's individual beliefs and/or personal interpretation.

A well thought out and applied concept that was driven by what was then deemed to be “enlightenment”...as in the European “intellectual movement” of the late 17th and 18th centuries that emphasized both “reason” and “individualism” rather than simple religious traditions and/or blind following. These ideas were embraced by many of not only our “Founders and Framers,” but by the general population as well.

And in their embracing of “enlightenment” our “Founders and Framers” actually did strive for a “pluralistic society” of sorts...a society where differences of both faith and ideologies would be accepted if they not only served the common good, but followed the actual rule of law that was intended to be “secular” in nature. Simply, our “Founders and Framers” wanted to put aside religious doctrines, tenets, dogma, and beliefs in all matters of actual governance while at the same time protecting the individual's right to believe as one chose to believe...or chose not to believe at all.

Simply, at the time of the Constitution's writing what was to become our new nation was tired of war in general, as well as being tired of all the oppressive orders, both religious and otherwise, being mandated from Britain's King James' autocratic based theocracy that lay “across the pond.” And in their wisdom and foresight these four main Constitution “Framers” openly advocated for “separation of Church and State.”

  1. James Madison, a delegate to the Virginia Convention of 1776, was chosen to be the “Architect of the Constitution” and is now more commonly known as the “Father of the Constitution.” Madison was an advocate for a strong yet limited federal government, and was also the chief proponent of a “separation of Church and State” saying that“separation” would “keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries”

  2. Thomas Jefferson, believed religion was a “personal matter” that should be kept “separate” from political affairs. Saying“separation” was“essential to protect both religion and government from corruption,” and thus “would protect both religious and non-religious citizens,” it was Jefferson's ideas on “individual rights” and “limited government” that helped to shape the first ten amendments of the “Bill of Rights.”

  3. Benjamin Franklin not only promoted “deism” and criticized “organized religion,” but he believed that morality could exist “independently” from religion. Also believing that government should not interfere in religious matters, Franklin believed that a “secular government” could “better promote peace and unity among diverse faiths,” and thus was able to secure the needed consensus amongst the Constitutional Convention's delegates.

  4. Alexander Hamilton, whose writings reflect a “commitment to pluralism and tolerance in society,” believed that religion could coexist with government but that it must be without any direct involvement. Hamilton also deemed“separation of Church and State” as essential in preventing religious conflict and tyranny, and publicly advocated for a “secular government framework.” while being seen as a driving force behind the Constitution’s final ratification.

Simply, what these wise men were proposing and what became Constitutional law was that religion must be kept out of government while government must be kept out of religion...a fair and equal trade indeed. But sadly, we now find some very vocal sorts wanting one specific religion and their interpretation of it to become an integral part of our government from the local to the state to the federal level, basically trying to put their religious views over Constitutional law. This is something “We the People” must never allow let alone be open to discussion, for if this were to happen our beloved America could well become just like the theocratic based governments our “Founders and Framers” sought refuge from.

So here let's now switch gears and now focus on the misconceptions regarding both illegal immigration and the now in effect deportations of the worst of the illegal criminal element type.

“I am going to create a new special deportation task force, focused on identifying and removing quickly the most dangerous criminal illegal immigrants in America.” - President Donald J. Trump in 2016 during his first term in office.

And while the original Constitution did not address “immigration” in the same way as it addressed the aforementioned “separation of Church and State,” several key Constitutional provisions adopted years after its ratification does address the issue. For example, Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress not only the power to establish a “uniform rule of naturalization,” but allows Congress to set the “criteria and process” for one becoming a U.S. citizen. The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, guarantees “equal protection” under the law to all including immigrants and non-citizens, while both the 5th and 14th Amendments provide “due process” rights to all persons, regardless of their immigration status. Simply, this is taken to mean that all immigrants are entitled to certain legal protections.

But in today's reality the fact does remain that what are true “immigrants” are few and far between for the vast majority of those having entered into our county during the four horrendous Biden years were what amounts to an “invading army” of persons “non-grata”...as in those sorts here only for their Biden promised “free stuff” in exchange for their vote...with a not so healthy dose of murder committing gang members and even terrorists embedded amongst them.

So what does the Constitution say about removing these vile sorts from our country? Unfortunately, at the time of the Constitution's writing immigration was not an issue that our “Founders and Framers” addressed. However, the still in effect“Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965” does outline the procedures for deportation. So while the Constitution itself does not explicitly address the deportation of illegals, it does allow for the “enforcement” of our on the books immigration laws whether they be based upon federal or state policies.

And to that affect President Trump is deporting these “persons non-grata”...specifically gang members... with some actually being convicted rapists and murderers... by his retroactively applying the on-the-books process known as “expedited removal,” with said removal being the legal process that allows immigration authorities... as in I.C.E agents...to arrest and “rapidly deport” these undocumented anything but lawful immigrants, and to do so without these folks having access to a full court hearing before a U.S. immigration judge.

Desperate times do indeed call for desperate measures.

So here the question now becomes, is President Trump legally allowed to order the deportation of these persons without “due process?” I believe the answer to be a resounding YES for these individuals not only pose a direct danger to the “health, safety, and welfare” of “We American citizens”...the very people Trump took an oath to protect...while also presenting a threat to our national security and overall public safety while at the same time undermining the very integrity of our U.S. immigration laws.

And here is where misconceptions abound for while bleeding heart liberal politicians and their media cohorts want you to believe that these what they call “undocumented migrants” are just poor misunderstood folks, the fact remains that since their unfettered arrival during the Biden years, over 527,459+ actual arrests of illegals, to date, have been made. And that does not include the 1,141,047 detentions of illegals with known criminal convictions or those with pending criminal charges, as well as those with no current convictions or pending charges but who have knowingly and willingly broken U.S. immigration laws. And whether the said illegals detentions are short or long term, the verified numbers I presented should scare every law abiding American citizen while the reality of the situation hopefully starts to sink in.

Simply, no matter what the liberal media reports to be truth, no matter what Democrat politicians claim to be truth, truth is not a concept either of them take to heart. And when it comes to illegals and their right...or their lack thereof ...to “due process” we cannot and must not accept at face value anything either of them have to say. And why so...because misconceptions by its very nature does tend to cater to public sentiment instead of to what is usually verifiable truth, for truth is as foreign to these sorts as is the art of deception to we American patriots.

And so we now, as a nation, stand on a dangerous precipice where Constitutional truth regarding the “separation of Church and State” fights with misconceptions regarding the deportation of criminal illegal aliens. And while those specific issues remain quite different in nature, it's important to remember the fact that what truly is important is that Constitutional law alone...whether it be its original text or amendments added after the fact...does remain the highest law of our land. Case closed.

The Good, Very Good, and Not So Ugly Truth

...But as the prison's population's numbers grow it will only be a matter of time before some prisoners will be released to Venezuelan authorities at which point...I believe...Maduro will likely release the worst of the worst to make their way back to the U.S. to not only raise havoc, but to then be recaptured, deported, and released again to El Salvador... ”revolving door” style that is. Remember, Bukele isn't doing this “prison thing” out of the goodness of his heart but for the $6 million being paid to his government by the Trump administration for but one single year of deportation services.

I wonder how much of that will end up going to Maduro or how much Bukele will jack up his price after the first year of service has passed. After all $6 million will likely not be enough money to handle the multitudes arriving as the deportations ramp up.
So right now, in my opinion, what President Trump faces in regards to Venezuelan and other violent gang members is a vicious cycle of catch...Read entire article here.

The Good, Very Good, and Not So Ugly Truth

“It turned out that all we really needed was a new President.”
- President Donald J. Trump's ever so rightful words during his March 24, 2025 Joint Address to Congress

A few weeks ago George Glezmann, the American held captive in Afghanistan for over two years returned home. But it was not thanks to Joe Biden on whose watch Glezmann was captured, but thanks to President Trump's having made Glezmann's safe return a “top priority.” In fact, Joe Biden did nothing to secure this American's release except to have his State Department issue a statement back in late 2023 that Mr. Glezmann had been “wrongfully detained” by the Taliban. All that time in Taliban hands yet in less than two months after President Trump assumed his second term in office, George Glezmann returned home. Amazing isn't it.

A good thing indeed.

On October 7, 2023...”Israel's 911”...21-year old Israeli-American Edan Alexander, who at the time was voluntarily serving in the IDF’s Golani Brigade, was taken hostage by Hamas and remains so to this day what with Joe Biden, as expected, doing nothing of substance to help secure this American's release. But again in the two months Donald Trump has been president he not only issued dire warnings to Hamas regarding repercussions if Alexander and the other few hostages still believed to be alive were not immediately released (which as I write this they have not been)...but he gave Israel the “okay” to renew their military incursion into Gaza after Hamas, in breaking the ceasefire agreement, stated they would not be releasing anymore hostages.

But know President Trump is still working behind the scenes to bring this young man home...a noble task that if anyone can accomplish it he can.

And on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 we witnessed the two stranded NASA astronauts safely returning to Earth thanks to President Trump, Elon Musk, SpaceX's Crew Dragon, and of course NASA, having joined together to rescue them. Their lives and rescue became a priority after what was to be a week long mission turned into nine plus long months simply because their lives were not a priority for the Biden administration. And why so... because they were too busy wrecking our country, our economy, our military, and our standing on the world stage. And yet again, in less than two months time into Trump's second term in office, astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore made it safely back to Earth, and thanked both men for caring enough to help bring them home. In fact, NASA spokewoman Bethany Stevens issued a statement saying that, “This is a huge win for the Trump administration. And it would not have happened without President Trump's intervention.”

American exceptionalism on display for the world to see thanks to President Trump and Elon Musk...a very good thing indeed.

And now let's revisit Biden's disastrous withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 13 Americans and 170 Afghan civilians at Abbey Gate. Well, it seems that Gen. Mark Milley, the head of U.S. Central Command and the very man who oversaw the withdrawal itself...along with Gen. Frank McKenzie, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff...stated in testimony before Congress as having met with Biden and “recommended” to him that we keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan even after the August 31, 2021 withdrawal deadline. And Joe Biden's response to their testimony was to claim that his“advisers” failed to tell him to leave what he called a “small military presence” in the country.

Odd isn't it that the generals stated they met with Biden himself, while Biden places blame on his own “advisors” while never saying if said “advisors” were even present at his meeting with the generals or not nor does it negate the fact that Biden willingly left $7 billion in military equipment behind... equipment now in the hands of the Taliban. So it's no wonder that Trump made one of DOGE's first jobs being to look into the wasteful and caviler spending at the Department of Defense,

In fact, Elon Musk and DOGE recently announced that, to date, the Defense Department wasted $80+ million on programs not supporting the DOD's core mission ...as in to “provide the military forces needed to deter war and ensure our nation's security”...and that said monies would be much better spent on “lethality and readiness.” Including in the findings was $1.9 million spent on holistic diversity, equity, and inclusion transformation and training; $6 million given to the U of Montana to help bridge divides and strengthen American democracy; along with $3.5 million given to support DEI groups; and $1.6 million given to the U of Florida to study “social and institutional detriments of vulnerability and resilience to climate hazards in [the] African Sahel.”

Simply, know that thanks to President Trump and DOGE more cuts will come to assure that monies are spent solely on DOD's aforementioned mission to basically keep our country and “We the People” safe. So, “Go Elan Go!” What you and President Trump are doing is truly a very, very good thing.

And while President Trump's positives are truly adding up, let's add his “illegals” being deported into the mix, but with a caveat of sorts in mind that might unknowingly have been overlooked. First, we know the number of “illegals” who invaded our country while Biden was president nearly doubled during those four years, going from 10.2 million “illegals” in 2020 to 20.3 million “illegals” by the end of his term not including the estimated two million “got-aways”...as in those who were able to evade the authorities and are now living “undocumented” here in the U.S.

In fact, Biden not only rolled out the likely George Soros funded welcome mat even more so than Obama did when he was president, but Biden actually encouraged the invasion of our country even knowing well that thugs, thieves, drug dealers, rapists, murderers, and foreign born terrorists would be embedded amongst those arriving for his promised “free stuff.”

But thankfully President Trump has put an end to all that what with his had been promised roundups and mass deportations going on even as I write this...a very, very good thing.

The illegals must be removed from our country in full... if that's even logistically possible...and Trump was right invoking the “Alien Enemies Act” of 1798...the very act that allows the president to deport any what are “non-citizens” during “wartime.” And if the “invasion” at our southern border is not an act of war, then pray tell what exactly is.

But in specific regards to the Venezuelan illegals, with most being connected to the “Tren de Aragua gang”...Venezuela's version of El Salvador's ever violent MS-13 gang and dictator Nicolas Muduro's proxy army of sorts...Trump must not forget that Muduro...in his own words...sent them to the U.S., to “pillage and prey upon us.” And while President Trump did let the world know that any persons “perpetrating, attempting, and threatening an invasion of predatory incursion against the territory of the United States” was not just an act of 'irregular warfare” against our country, but that there would be a “heavy price to pay” for those attempting to do so.

I hope Maduro takes those words to heart for President Trump has proven to back up his words with both proven and successful actions taken.

Now here is where it gets real interesting. How so? As the deportations of “Tren de Aragua” gang members... and other assorted nasties...has again resumed, and with Nicolas Muduro foolishly spewing that the nature of the flights themselves were a chance to “rescue and free migrants from prisons in the U.S.,” what must not be forgotten is that these “criminals” are actually being deported to El Salvador where they are incarcerated in President Nayib Bukele's mega-prison...”Terrorism Confinement Center” or CECOT as it's more commonly known...a prison so strict that visitation, recreation and education are not allowed.

But as the prison's population's numbers grow it will only be a matter of time before some prisoners will be released to Venezuelan authorities at which point...I believe... Maduro will likely release the worst of the worst to make their way back to the U.S. to not only raise havoc, but to then be recaptured, deported, and released again to El Salvador...

So right now, in my opinion, what President Trump faces in regards to Venezuelan and other violent gang members is a vicious cycle of catch, deport, release and catch again being set into motion all courtesy of a hefty price tag...some of which I would surmise encompasses our hard earned taxpayer dollars.

Not such a good thing I'd say for our taxpayer dollars should be spent solely to help “We the American People,” and not to help keep alive those whose goal is to harm our country by raping, torturing, and killing our people. And all the cries by the uber left...uber leftist judges included...about these criminals supposed “human rights” being violated is sheer and utter nonsense for while “due process” is one thing, these who fit well into the definition of what I call “pieces of human garbage” are simply here to turn our beloved America into a reincarnation of their socialist driven “third world” countries they came from, which President Trump and the majority of “We the People” will simply not allow.

So while I'm sure President Trump knows well that the deportations of these vicious gang members and others who came here “illegally” is indeed a very good thing, and that the majority of the American people support him in this endeavor, he must also know that there are other ways of handling what will be future deportations, some of the aforementioned “revolving door” kind, and do so before said deportations become an overly expensive necessity. How so...by allowing the U.S. border patrol to shoot to kill those who do not turn back when ordered...three strikes and you're figuratively and permanently out so to speak, especially those of the “revolving door” kind.

A bit bloody and ugly perhaps in the beginning of implementation, but sometimes blood is the only way to assure that a message has not only been sent but that it's contents have been both received and accepted as fact. And while the Democrats won't like this idea, sometimes reality alone dictates what truly must be done. Remember, sometimes a certain amount of blood does need to be shed to send a loud and clear message that there's a new “sheriff”...a new “president”...in town. A very, very good thing indeed. Case closed.

Sanctuary Cities...Harboring Injustice
By: Diane Sori and Craig Andresen / Right Side Patriots

"A disgraceful verdict in the Kate Steinle case! No wonder the people of our Country are so angry with Illegal Immigration." - President Donald Trump

He was knowingly here illegally, in fact he had already been deported five times before and yet he always did manage to return. And it was during his sixth and last return that this illegal alien murdered an innocent 32-year old woman in the prime of her life...and so Kate Steinle became the rallying cry for all that is so very wrong with our immigration system.

Jose Ines Garcia Zarate...aka Juan Francisco Lopes-Sanchez...an illegal Mexican with a lengthy felony record...was found 'not guilty' of murdering Kate Steinle by a San Francisco jury of six men and six women. Not guilty of murder in the first degree nor in the second degree, Zarate was also acquitted of involuntary manslaughter with the sole guilty charge leveled against him being the much lesser charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In other words, Kate Steinle's killer basically walks free...free after he is once again deported back to Mexico...while there is no justice for the the innocent girl killed nor for her parents who now live a life of hell no parent should ever be forced to live...a life knowing their daughter's death took a backseat to the life of a piece of human garbage whose mere existence in our country was against our laws.

By now we all know the story of how Kate Steinle was killed on July 1, 2015, while lazily walking along a San Francisco pier with her dad enjoying the hot summer day...and how a shot rang out seeing Kate dropping to the ground, being cradled in her dad's arms with her last words spoken, “help me dad.” Shot in the back by what this jury deemed was an accidental shooting that was anything but, the jury was charged with deciding whether Zarate intentionally and willfully fired the single shot that killed Kate Steinle or whether it was as the defense claimed 'unintentional'...a freak accident...after Zarate found the gun wrapped in a cloth under his seat at the pier, that it accidentally discharged with the bullet ricocheting off of the concrete surface and into Steinle's back.

So while this scenario was deemed plausible to the jury... plausible enough to find Zarate 'not guilty'...it might have resulted in a vastly different verdict if the jury in Judge Samuel Feng’s courtroom had been allowed to hear that the gun had been stolen just four days before the killing from the parked car of a visiting Bureau of Land Management ranger. And while even the prosecution agreed that there was no evidence linking Zarate to that particular robbery, sometimes no evidence is evidence in and of itself especially when also kept from the jury was the fact that Zarate had been deported five times before, and that in 2015 he was scheduled for a sixth deportation having then been in federal custody for felony 're-entry.'

But instead of their deporting him when they had the chance, federal authorities sent Zarate to San Francisco on a 20-year-old drug warrant for possession of a small amount of marijuana, where San Francisco prosecutors dropped the charge and the sheriff's department let him go...let him go despite a federal detainer request.

Two months after the charges were dropped Kate Steinle lay dead.

And it was only after the 'not guilty' verdict had been reached that an amended federal arrest warrant was reissued for Zarate...a warrant stating that he did indeed violate his court mandated supervised release on a previous federal sentence for illegally re-entering our country now being coupled with his being a convicted felon possessing the gun that killed Kate Steinle.

But no matter, because with just a three or so year sentence as per current sentence guidelines, and with factoring in 'time served,' Zarate could see himself being deported back to Mexico within less than year's time...deported back as he plots and plans how to re-enter our country for the seventh time, while Kate Stenle remains dead.

A true miscarriage of justice unseen since the OJ Simpson verdict back in the '90's, this nightmare stems directly from San Francisco being a sanctuary city in the now sanctuary state of California, and with local sanctuary city laws stating that local law enforcement do not have to hold an individual beyond the term of their incarceration. And so San Francisco decided back in 2015 not to honor any federal ICE detainer requests, that is unless a detainee is proven to have had committed a violent or serious felony within the past seven years...and this continues today.

And with her death Kate Steinle truly did become ground zero for the nightmare scenario that is sanctuary cities...which by the way is not a legal term...replete with said city's policies hindering local authorities from cooperating with federal immigration agents. Remember, if those policies had not been in place Zarate would have been turned over to ICE back in the spring of 2015, and Kate Steinle would be alive today.

“A day of vindication for the rest of immigrants,” so said Zarate's defense attorney Francisco Ugarte yet this verdict is anything but as the backlash against illegals and sanctuary cities grows stronger by the day...and might we add rightfully so for two simple truths are that Zarate was not supposed to be here and yet he was, and that our existing immigration laws were passed to protect American citizens not to protect illegal criminal aliens.

So what exactly are sanctuary cities...which is not a new concept but has been around since Biblical times...besides being breeding grounds for those wishing to do Americans harm while at the same time being a place where criminals relish in raking in the benefits this country has to offer. A federally funded safe haven, sanctuary cities limit their cooperation with the federal government in order to help illegals avoid deportation by ICE agents...and if truth be told also to help increase the Democrats voting roster.

And while President Trump wants to pull said federal funding for cities that refuse to comply with ICE deportation requests, many sanctuary cities are fighting back against a cut in funding while they await a federal court ruling against the legality of withholding such funding. And to give you an idea of just how much funding these cities would loose, know that in Fiscal Year 2016 alone Obama sent $26.74 billion in federal funding to America’s 106 sanctuary cities... funding they desperately needed to feed, house, cloth, and educate those who came to our country illegally...those who are criminals by their very act of doing so. And know that during the entirety of the Obama years illegal immigration cost we state taxpayers $89 billion with the feds adding in another $46 billion, bringing the total to fund sanctuary cities up to a whopping $135 billion...monies that should have been spent on American citizens instead.

Now here's something most don't know...sometimes sanctuary cities aren’t just cities per se. In fact, across America, there are over 300 governmental jurisdictions claiming sanctuary status including 106 actual cities, four states (California, Connecticut, New Mexico, and Colorado), and with the rest being counties or other units of government. But their joint commonality is that all have officially enacted sanctuary policies, with most refusing to honor ICE detainers warrants.

Thankfully, on January 25, 2017 President Trump signed Executive Order 13768 directing the Secretary of Homeland Security and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to defund sanctuary jurisdictions that refuse to comply with federal immigration law. So while at least 33 states have considered enacting such laws to crack down on sanctuary cities, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, and Texas have already passed laws that punish local governments that enact policies that protect and shelter illegals

In fact, Indiana Rep. Todd Rokita recently introduced a bill that could hold what he calls “lawless” state and local politicians and officials accountable with criminal penalties if they choose to obstruct federal immigration authority efforts. Specifically targeting sanctuary cities, H.R. 4526...the Stopping Lawless Actions of Politicians (SLAP) Act...could see any and all violators facing up to five years of prison time and a fine of up to $1 million for willfully ignoring the federal government's requests for custody of undocumented individuals. It's a start...a very good start indeed.

And with other states and elected officials now planning to jump on the anti-sanctuary city bandwagon, a war of words has started as those in favor of sanctuary cities and the policies surrounding them claim said cities are being made safer because they foster positive relationships between illegals and law enforcement; that they are legal and protected by the tenth amendment* (re: separation of federal and state powers); and that said cities protect what they call 'undocumented immigrants' from federal immigration laws. Countering them are those who say sanctuary city policies allow dangerous and violent illegal aliens the ability to roam free to threaten the safety of both their communities and law-abiding American citizens; that said cities defy federal laws by which state and local governments are bound as per 8 U.S. Code § 1373**; and that these cities prevent both local and state police officers from doing their jobs.

And the opposition to sanctuary cities is rightfully growing in numbers by the day not only because of the miscarriage of justice regarding the Kate Steinle verdict; not only because thousands of Americans die each year at the hands of illegals; but also because the hypocrisy of the left is now on full display for all to see as their ad-nauseum call for more gun control has been drowned out by their silence because one of their protected sorts basically got off scot-free.

In the wake of the Kate Steinle murder verdict, while the liberals continue to do everything possible to both harbor and protect those who simply by setting foot in our country illegally are criminals. And in sanctuary cities and in sanctuary states one thing is quite conspicuous in its abject silence...liberal calls for gun control. And how exactly does the liberal gun control agenda fit into all of this...simply it doesn’t.

In this case, and in others that we’ve both seen, and will see as time marches on and the illegal alien flood into sanctuary cities and states continues, a criminal, as cited above, who was also a felon, deported five times and being protected by the liberal agenda, stole a gun, was a felon in possession of a gun, and used that gun in the commission of yet another felony...the murder of Kate Steinle...was acquitted of the charges by a liberal jury, and yet, not a word concerning their gun control agenda.

To be perfectly frank, and brutally politically direct about this, had the killer of Kate Steinle been anything but a protected class non-citizen, the outcry from the left for more gun control would be deafening.

As it is, the silence is now what’s deafening, and that places the spotlight squarely upon liberal hypocrisy.

To be fair, no amount of gun control would have kept Kate Steinle alive, so it is not at all that we’re preaching gun control here. The facts regarding liberal gun control are more than evident in Chicago, a bastion of liberalism with the strictest anti-gun laws in the nation...a city seeing 3,382 shootings with 587 people killed in those shootings in 2017, and the year isn’t over yet.

Such figures also put the spotlight on yet another of liberalism’s many hypocritical failures in that the vast majority of the shootings and resulting murders in the gun-free, target-rich zone of Chicago, are crimes committed by blacks, against blacks.

Just as illegal aliens are considered the sole purview of liberals, so too is the black community, and yet black on black crime, which is culpable in some 93 percent of all black murders in this country, as per FBI statistics, never raises so much as a liberal eyebrow, much less a liberal outcry.

If you need more proof of the hypocritical double standard regarding Kate Steinle and liberal demands for gun control, or in this case their lack of such demands, look no further than Barack Hussein Obama who, since the murder of Kate Steinle in 2015 by an illegal alien with a string of felonies and deportations glued to him, has remained silent regarding the crime, the victim, and for that matter the killer.

When Michael Brown, for instance, a thug and a thief, was shot by a police officer in the process of attacking that officer, Obama spoke out within three days, demanded more gun control, ordered an investigation by the DOJ into the justified shooting and sent his representatives to the dead thug’s funeral.

Has Obama spoken out in regards to Kate Steinle? No. Has he spoken out calling for gun control using the killing of Steinle as his platform? No. Has Obama uttered even a single word against the illegal alien and felon, five times deported who murdered Kate Steinle? No, no he has not.

And what of Nancy Pelosi, in whose backyard if not her front yard, this murder took place?

Well, Nancy Pelosi did, in fact, issue one singular call for more gun control exactly one week after the murder of Kate Steinle, stating, “Last week, in San Francisco, our city suffered our own senseless act of gun violence with the killing of Kathryn Steinle, and our thoughts and prayers are very much with her family. Today, we must do more as a nation to prevent dangerous people from getting easy access to guns. And Congress has a moral responsibility to act. What is so unclear? What do they not understand about that? The memory of these victims, the cries of their families deserve action – results, not words.”

Since that rather obtuse statement, Pelosi has been conspicuously quite, as though the liberal elite shut her down because the illegal alien was somehow a more protected class than an American citizen, but notice a very important aspect of Pelosi’s statement...“we must do more as a nation to prevent dangerous people from getting easy access to guns. And Congress has a moral responsibility to act. What is so unclear? What do they not understand about that?”

Let’s be clear here in that it wasn’t the gun that killed Kate Steinle, it was in fact, the illegal alien who had already been deported five times, had a string of felonies attached to him, and was, not least of all, living in a sanctuary city...her sanctuary city to be exact.

Gun control was what Pelosi was preaching a week after Steinle was murdered...not illegal alien control, and why do you suppose that was? Because guns can’t vote, and because California issues driver’s licenses, and registers illegal aliens to do just that...vote.

On January 1, 2015, California’s AB 60 law went into effect, and illegal aliens flooded DMV locations to take full advantage, getting driver’s licenses. Couple that with yet another California law, AB 1461, which is a motor-voter law that registers holders of a California driver’s license to vote, and you have the perfect liberal storm...illegal aliens with voter registration forms.

In the state of California today, there are some 800,000 illegal aliens who because of the combination of the two laws, have been registered to vote, and while it’s illegal for them to cast a vote, the laws have no teeth. In fact, it’s up to the illegal...those who have broken the law by being in this country to begin with...to police themselves, and not vote.

Illegal aliens in California are on the honor system when it comes to voting, and to be once again perfectly frank, the honor system becomes an abject failure when it is left to those who do not honor our nation’s laws, to suddenly show honor for our nation’s laws.

According to Claude Arnold, a former Special Agent in Charge for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations in Southern California, as well as in the states of Nevada, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, “Throughout my 27-year career with [Immigration and Naturalization Service] and ICE, I arrested hundreds of illegal criminal aliens who had voter registration cards. They would often admit they voted, but they were rarely prosecuted for illegally voting.”

Putting a finer point on it, Arnold stated that of the hundreds of illegal aliens he has personally arrested over the years, who were registered to vote, only once was an illegal alien registered as a Republican. All the rest, he said, were registered as Democrats.

Let’s now put this into context with the Kate Steinle murder, and Nancy Pelosi’s statement...Pelosi called for gun control after Steinle’s murder, and not for illegal alien control... because guns don’t vote, and illegal aliens do.

In the liberal world, guns are not a voting bloc, so liberals can, and do call for all the laws they want for the purpose of banning guns, and this is exactly why you don’t hear them begging for, or demanding laws to ban illegal aliens from flooding into our country, of holing up in liberal controlled sanctuary cities or states.

It’s not that liberals just don’t know where the true responsibility lies for the murder of Kate Steinle...it’s that they absolutely do know...and simply don’t give a damn.

Sanctuary cities, and sanctuary states, set up by liberals as safe havens for criminals for no other purpose than to protect an illegal voting bloc have no place in a nation of laws...no place in our Constitutional Republic. Such cities and states should be defunded from federal assistance dollars, paid by legal citizens, so that liberals can flaunt the laws of the land.

Further, to diminish the future possibilities of more parents having to bury their children, or children having to bury their parents because of the actions of those who shouldn’t even be here in the first place, stricter border enforcement, a wall, and harsher penalties for those who commit crimes while in this country illegally must be adopted, and used.

It’s not an abundance of guns that caused the murder of Kate Steinle, it is the absence of a wall that was a direct contributor in the equation, and a liberal agenda that aided and abetted in Miss Steinle’s murder.

To quote Nancy Pelosi..."What is so unclear? What do they not understand about that?”
