At Easter and Passover...On God, Country, and Obama

(Author's Note: I have been asked by some of my blog readers to run this Op-ed again as it is as pertinent today as when I wrote it in 2012.)

During this Holy Week for both Christians and Jews, let us remember and honor the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, the rights and privileges we sometimes take for granted, and let us celebrate in the knowledge that we live in the greatest nation the world has ever known. Let us remember our loved ones lost, and pray that our brave men and women in uniform are kept safe and out of harm's way. Let us find comfort in knowing that as we celebrate the Resurrection and the freeing of the Jews from bondage in Egypt, we should rejoice in knowing that our dearly departed loved ones have already been welcomed into God's Kingdom.

I pray that as we Christians and Jews celebrate freedom, restoration, redemption, and resurrection that we see this from both a spiritual and from a here and now perspective. The spiritual is obvious, the here and now not so much so, as our beloved America is at a dangerous crossroads. Do we return to God and the principals our Founding Fathers laid down in the Constitution or do we continue down Obama's path of destruction of all this country was founded upon and all we hold dear. It is up to us, 'We the People,' to choose the path which we will follow.

Our great nation was created with a single document called the Constitution, and we now have a president who has decided that the very document that has given us 224 years of liberty and justice for all, is obsolete, out of date, and no longer relevant in today's so-called global world. We have a president who wants to lead our great republic down a dangerous path towards socialism and lead us into a New World Order headed by a chosen few of the most radical and liberal persons the modern day world has known.

We now have a president whose radical brand of liberalism is so engrained in his very core that he would love to silence, ban and eliminate conservatism at all costs; a president who would love to take control of our country in a way that would make Nazi Germany's SS cringe (starting with abolishing the Second Amendment); a president who would love to abolish God from every aspect of our lives; a president who sees our Constitution as an inconvenience, a barrier that must be removed, as he and his minions spread his message of radically changing America into a socialist nation torn by class warfare and racial division.

We now have a president who wants to change the very foundation upon which our Judeo-Christian nation was built, a president who dishonors and defames the Ten Commandments, the very heart of what we as Christians and Jews believe; a president who mocks our true living God while catering to those who believe in a false god and who want nothing better than to kill us all.

And this brings me back to the words freedom, restoration, redemption, and resurrection. While the religious meaning of those words is known to us believers, those words can also be used to describe the crossroads our beloved America now finds herself at. And it's up to us patriots to restore the freedoms granted to us in the Constitution, to redeem ourselves before God, and to resurrect America to her former glory before it's too late.

I know which path I will take, hopefully you will join me on that same path.

Selling out the Constitution...selling out America

After a visit to Amsterdam to attend a G7 meeting to discuss how to punish Vladimir Putin for his 'supposed' nationalistic annexing of Crimea, and after attending a two-day Nuclear Security Summit in the Hague, Barack HUSSEIN Obama then visited Brussels (a city whose population is a shocking 40% muslim...guess he felt right at home there) where he cost the city $10.4 million for the additional 350 security people needed to keep him safe. And he brought with him an entourage of 900 people and three cargo planes carrying 45 vehicles...and God only knows how much that cost we taxpayers...all to stand before the EU and NATO summits to say that "Our Constitution is outdated and international law is supreme."

And knowing how much Obama loves his pen and phone, if he had his way he would render null and void the entire Constitution by Executive Order and do so in the blink of an eye.

You know it, I know it, and Obama knows we know it, yet he simply doesn't care that we do.

Now just imagine the press coverage if a Republican president had dared to utter those words...for as little media coverage as Obama's words have gotten from the liberal press since said almost one week ago, those words said by a Republican... any Republican...would be covered non-stop 24/7 ad-nauseum.

And while we all know that this most miserable of presidents has NO love for the Constitution... America's very foundation and law of our land...just know that if this man ever dared to try to negate the greatest document of freedom and human rights ever written, I truly hope he's prepared for what would happen, for as history has proven time and again NO country has ever changed its core law or governing system without civil war.

But then again civil war might just be Barack HUSSEIN Obama's ultimate goal.

"Our Constitution is outdated and international law is supreme." Words of a traitor said in Brussels that bears repeating once again for it must be known that the man who took an oath to "...preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” wants to sellout our Constitution...wants to sellout America...to UN globalists as he strives for 'We the People' to be governed by international law. But if Obama had bothered to pay attention to his lessons when he was in law school he would have learned that law is NOT law...whether domestic or international...unless the populace agrees to be governed by it. And Obama knows that 'We the People' can only be pushed so far when it comes to his trampling on our Constitution...as he can use the race card against us for only so long.

So as Obama bloviates about international law it must be remembered that international law is NOT binding U.S. law NO matter how he wants it to be. Obama forgets that international agreements or what he calls 'international laws' are made under Article II Section 2 of the Constitution ("He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur..."), and if they have treaty status are subject to ratification under Article I (legislative powers), and will only be declared law of the land under the Supremacy Clause (the provision in Article Six, Clause 2 that establishes the Constitution, federal statutes, and U.S. treaties as "the supreme law of the land").

In fact, the Supreme Court has ruled that treaties are NOT law without an implementing act of Congress...that treaties do NOT override the Constitution...that treaties cannot amend the Constitution...and that any treaty can be nullified by a statute passed by Congress ("...or by a sovereign State or States if Congress refuses to do so..."), when the State deems performance of a treaty is self-destructive. And we all know that any and everything Obama does is indeed self-destructive to our country as he is the enemy within who wants to sell out America to our enemies both foreign and domestic.

And even the currently held Democratic controlled Senate knows better than to sell us out to international law...to UN control...at the expense of our Constitution.

How smart were our Founders to have vision to foresee this becoming an issue at sometime in the future...how smart were they to protect us from a man like Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

Also in Brussels, Obama spouted off about what he called the universal “ideals that unite us all..." Obviously NOT understanding or just choosing to ignore the fact that one country's ideals might in NO way be another county's ideals, the concept of individual rights as related to each county's sovereignty is lost on this man who believes in and pushes for the New World Order of a one world government...a one world government controlled by his progressive elitist cohorts sprinkled in with a smattering of his muslim brethren.

And in an effort to extol the virtues of European-style big government as he pandered to those he needs to come to his aid against Vladimir Putin, Obama had the audacity to claim that our Founding Fathers small-government based Constitution got their ideas from European monarchies...which we know is pure unadulterated nonsense as colonial-era European-style big government was the very thing our Founders wanted NO part of for the newly emerging American nation.

And so Barack HUSSEIN Obama once again tried to sellout America as he flashed his infamous smirk of a smile as he played for the cameras in Brussels. So the man who in fear of the 'Russian Bear' took all military deterrents off the table by claiming military deterrence doesn't work, spoke from the other side of his mouth by urging 'We the People' to sheepishly surrender to international law at the expense of our Constitution.

The gall of this man knows NO bounds as the world looks on and laughs at the weakling who would be king.

Op-ed:

Except for one...shameful cowards all

To have the inner strength to stand by one's convictions and act in accordance with those beliefs, especially in spite of criticism...that's the definition of courage. And those with courage act in defiance of any inner fear of reprisal they might have for they put others before themselves.

I think our Founder's expected our leaders to be men of courage, especially when attending to 'the people's business.' How disappointed they would be if they saw the Republicans of today cowering in fear before the man, who on Tuesday night, declared himself to be America's first king...NO...dictator is more like it...for when Barack HUSSEIN Obama basically rendered Congress politically impotent by saying he will bypass them and do what he wants to do...he NOT only trampled on the Constitution, he totally rendered it null and void in his mind.

And so the knife was dug deep into America's back...a knife that the Republicans in this Congress are just plain out and out too afraid to remove.

Fear of the race card being used against them now takes precedence over the oath of office they took...an oath to do their constituent's bidding and to protect and defend the law of our land...the Constitution. Shameful to say the least...complicit in America's downfall at most.

When Barack HUSSEIN Obama said that, he would "go it alone" and "Whenever and wherever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, that is what I am going to do," and then added in that "every mayor, governor and state legislator in America...you don't have to wait for Congress to act," every single Republican member of both Houses of Congress should have stood up and walked out en-masse as that would have sent a powerful message to the man who would be king...to the man who would be dictator...that he will NEVER be either.

And then after a hush fell over those remaining...those NEVER expecting the Republicans to have actually grown a spine...then the provost marshal should have entered the room and arrested this sham of a president for his deliberate violation of his Constitutional oath of office.

But sadly, this was NOT to be for as a collective body the Republicans who comprise this Congress... and even those in the TEA Party...just stood there and applauded the words of the man who NOT only rendered them politically impotent but who also made them a cowardly laughing stock. And now we know that come November all must be voted out of office...well maybe NOT all for one man...Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas)...had the courage, strength of conviction, and simple guts to do what in his heart he knew had to be done as he and he alone stood up and walked out on this sham of a president who spewed traitorously mocking words against the Constitution.

"Tonight I left early after hearing how the President is further abusing his Constitutional powers," Stockman said. "I could not bear to watch as he continued to cross the clearly-defined boundaries of the Constitutional separation of powers...Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed in the tone and content of tonight’s address."

Stockman has in the past been a vocal critic of Obama and his policies, especially his use of Executive Orders when he doesn't get Congress to do his bidding... Executive Orders which Stockman says are "a wholesale violation of his oath of office and a disqualifying offense."

And how right he is.

But what is on par shock value wise with Stockman's walking out but diametrically opposite in its nobility is the media's...and that includes FOX News...total lack of coverage of this most honorable display of love for our Constitution and love for all America stands for.

The media...the in-the-pocket for Obama media...instead of doing their job of reporting the news NOT hiding the news instead stumbles over itself to see who can best throw the protective blanket around Obama and his abomination of a speech...a media who stumbles as they try to see who can keep the myth of 'the anointed savior of us all' going the longest. Never mind that this man just basically said the Constitution be damned...NEVER mind that Obama has successfully used fear of the race card to keep those elected to serve 'We the People' subservient to his wishes and wants... NEVER mind that the 'Free Press' clause of the Constitution has now been turned into the 'What Obama Says We Can Report On' clause...NEVER mind all that for the American media by their very lack of action has now been rendered as null and void as the Constitution Barack HUSSEIN Obama deems a relic of the past.

Remember this is the man who said before he ran for the presidency that "the U.S. suffers from a fundamentally flawed Constitution"...this is the man who told Vladimir Putin at the Asian/Pacific Summit “It doesn’t matter since for all intent and purposes the US Constitution is dead”...and this is the man who in a 2001 public radio interview said the Constitution was a “charter of negative liberties, full of constraints imposed upon us by our Founding Fathers."

And then when a man of courage stands up and walks out in defense of the Constitution...our nation's founding document...the media chooses to remain silent as they instead fawn over the one they helped 'anoint' to the highest office in our land...NEVER mind that his address bordered on treason.

And so today things continue on as usual...the media is keeping all criticism off Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his most grievous and treasonous State of the Union address yet...those in Congress still have NO spine or courage to do what they know needs to be done...and 'We the People' just got screwed again by the man who has now crowned himself king.

And saddest of all is that the America our Founder's envisioned has been lost to a man who revels in his destruction of all we hold dear...and Congress' lack of actions has aided him every step of the way.
