Ted Cruz Announces He's Running and the Naysayers Gather Like Vultures to a Feast

He's the first official candidate to declare out of more than a dozen high-profile Republicans considering running for president...and if we cannot have LTC Allen West, Ted Cruz is the next best thing. Announcing his intentions in a 30-second video embedded in a tweet released at 12:09 AM Monday morning, TEA Party favorite Ted Cruz is everything Republicans should be but sadly are NOT...that is if he does NOT go so far in pandering to the ubber religious right...the ones with their 'better a muslim we know than a Mormon we don't know' attitude that helped get Obama re-elected...that he actually...dare I say it...starts shaking hands with the left. Thankfully, I do NOT think he will as Ted Cruz ranks high on the list amongst true Constitutional conservatives, but unfortunately to date has NOT registered in the top five in the polls simply because he does NOT tow the so-called establishment Republican line. Instead, Ted Cruz appeals to Tea Partiers and we who are know as TEApublicans, because he has the courage to take on NOT only the Obama regime itself but the RINOS and the actual party establishment as well.

An 'ideological hard-liner' who tells voters to challenge others wanting to be the Republican nominee NOT just on their words but on their all-important actions, Ted Cruz strongly opposes ObamaCare...in fact his announcing cleverly comes on the fifth anniversary of ObamaCare's passing...opposes Common Core and the IRS, supports a balanced budget and the flat tax, knows who America's enemies are and rightfully stands strong with both our military and with Israel, along with his being more than just a wee bit willing to shut down Obama's corrupt federal government. And Ted Cruz has NO use for those who refuse to stand strong with the rule of law that is our Constitution or with those who fear standing strong against the Obama progressive liberal agenda that unfortunately seems to be overtaking our country.

And as for the polls themselves, a recent Real Clear Politics average of the latest polls...polls really taken too far out to truly matter in the end...show that Cruz must gain broader support in the GOP base if he is to get the nomination as right now they have him earning just 4.6% of the support of likely Republican voters nationwide, and just 4.3% and 4.4% respectively of the support of likely GOP voters in the early voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire. But after the debates...and debating is a Ted Cruz strong point...these numbers will most assuredly climb upwards...way upwards...especially when an even more recent Quinnipiac University poll has 45% of Republicans seeing Cruz in a positive light, compared with only 8% who do NOT. But with 46% saying that to date they do NOT know enough about him to form an opinion...those are the ones Cruz...and we who support him...will have to court.

And while first-term Senator Ted Cruz will most likely face many questions over his experience...as did Obama in 2008...he has a more critical issue that must be addressed and then being put to rest once and for all...an issue that some 'supposedly' on our side will NOT let go of...and that is does Ted Cruz meet the presidential requirement of being a 'natural-born' citizen. I say of course he does, and so do lawyers from both parties at the U.S. Supreme Court who recently wrote in the Harvard Law Review that Cruz does indeed meet the Constitutional standard to run.

But sadly, like I said, some on our side continue to insist that Cruz is NOT eligible to run claiming over and over ad-nauseum that he does NOT meet the definition of a 'natural-born' citizen as he was actually born in Canada. And to make it worse, they refuse to budge in their stubbornness, mostly for fear of being called racists because they (rightfully) claimed America's (supposed) first black president...Barack HUSSEIN Obama...was NOT 'natural born'. Fearing the backlash from the likes of race-baiters Al Sharpton and Eric Holder, these folks would rather be politically correct than Constitutionally correct.

And that's sad as these folks clearly or willfully forget that our Constitution in NO way defines 'natural-born' citizen. And while Article 2 of the Constitution does state, “no person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the Office of President,” it's the Founders and Framers very words combined with statutes enacted by the First Congress that must be the determining basis for defining 'natural-born.' And accordingly, many Constitutional attorneys and scholars contend that 'natural-born' meant and still means being born either abroad to American parents, or being born within this nation’s territorial borders regardless of parental citizenship.

In fact, the Congressional Research Service (a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress who work exclusively for Congress providing policy and legal analysis to both houses regardless of party affiliation) supports that very view saying,“The weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion indicates that the term means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth," including any child born "in" the United States, even to alien parents (other than to foreign diplomats serving their country), the children of United States citizens born abroad, and those born abroad of one citizen parent who has met U.S. residency requirements.”

And herein lies the key to Cruz's 'natural-born' citizenship status and re-read these words very carefully, 'one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth.” And in the case of Ted Cruz the words "at birth" are that key as Cruz's mother, a U.S. born American citizen, conferred citizenship to Ted under 'The Nationality Act of 1940' which states which children become “nationals and citizens of the United States at birth." Stating those born in the United States or born outside the United States to at least one parent who was a citizen at the time of the child's birth allows citizenship to go to that child “at birth” if that citizen parent spent a certain number of years in the U.S.

And this is where Ted Cruz's American citizenship is most assuredly gotten as Cruz being born to an America citizen mother, was able to assume his citizenship “at birth” because under the law in effect between 1952 and 1986...with Cruz being born in 1970...someone must have a citizen parent who resided in the United States for at least 10 years, including five years after the age of 14, in order to have American citizenship conferred to them.

So to put aside the fears of those on our side who say...for whatever reasons...that Ted Cruz is NOT a 'natural-born' citizen, the indisputable fact is that Ted Cruz's mother, Eleanor Darragh, was born and raised in the United States...in Wilmington, Delaware...did NOT go to Canada until her mid-to late 20s, and did NOT give birth to Ted until into her 30's...way beyond the Constitutionally mandated 5-year-post-age-14 residency requirement...meaning American citizenship was conferred to Ted Cruz at the time of his birth...period.

So this should hopefully end the quandary of Ted Cruz's eligibility issue once and for all, and allow us to unite behind the only true Constitutional Conservative out of the bunch that appears to be in the running.

"I believe in America and her people, and I believe we can stand up and restore our promise. It's going to take a new generation of courageous conservatives to help make America great again. And I'm ready to stand with you to lead the fight," Ted Cruz said in his declaration of candidacy and I believe in and support Ted Cruz...now we just need him to pick the right running mate...a woman perhaps.... Michele Bachmann comes to mind...just saying.

The debut of Right Side Patriots

Hi guys...sometimes even in the midst of all the chaos that Barack HUSSEIN Obama has caused our side does win a few small battles, and winning one such battle involves getting our conservatives voices heard on a larger scale. 

Our conservative message is important for all to hear for America is changing and NOT for the better.  A progressive liberal agenda has overtaken simple common sense as our once centrist country now leans so far to the left that the left can shake hands with the right...and this must end for we must return to the law of our land...the U.S. Constitution...if America is to survive as we conservatives know and love her.

Many media outlets have been utilized by our side to help spread that message even as roadblocks are placed in our path.  We post on Facebook NOT letting the Facebook gods, as I call them, stop us even when we're thrown in Facebook jail...as they love to play their childish games of timeouts, bannings, and other assorted nonsense.  And while we do post on the alternative venues, sadly, their numbers combined do NOT have the reach of Facebook.  And some of us do have our own blogs where we are free to post as we see fit without Facebook or alternative venue constraints.

And so the truth in the form of the written word does get out...slowly...ever so slowly...but now the time has come as the all-important November mid-term election draws near to blast our message out to as many people as possible all across America and also to freedom lovers throughout the world.   

And herein lies the power of radio.

To that effect Craig Andresen from The National Patriot http://www.thenationalpatriot.com/ and me from The Patriot Factor http://thepatriotfactor.blogspot.com/ have now joined forces as we have been asked to co-host our very own radio show. 

Called Right Side Patriots, we are a TEApublican ...YES...a TEApublican Conservative radio talk show debuting this Wednesday on CPR Worldwide Media.  We will be a NO holds barred, politically incorrect take on today's political landscape both here in America and abroad.  The LIVE show will broadcast every Wednesday from 2-4pm EST and CPR will rebroadcast the show Wednesday's at midnight EST as well as over the weekend.

Our first guest will be Bill Finlay...known far and wide as Wild Bill for America... America's leading "'Liberalologist' who is working to cure liberalism in our lifetime." And as National Director of Wild Bill's TEA Teams USA I can assure you this will be one great debut show.

Retaking the Senate...a must...NO ifs, ands, or buts

OK folks...here's the bottom line before anything else...we MUST MUST MUST retake the Senate and increase our numbers in the House come November or it's over...and over for a very long time if NOT forever. And only by turning Congress RED can Barack HUSSEIN Obama be rendered politically impotent from doing any more harm to our country. 

 

We blew it in 2012...we cannot afford to blow it this time around. We blew what should have been an easy win and we blew it because of our own people. We blew it because of those 'supposedly' on our side who did NOT vote at all because their candidate of choice was NOT the nominee. We blew it because of those voters who put social issues before the very survival of our country. We blew it because many voted 3rd party simply because they felt the chosen nominee was NOT conservative enough for them. We blew it because of 'certain' religious leaders who told their flocks NOT to vote for the Republican nominee because he was NOT of their chosen faith. We blew it by listening and buying into the media's defamation and dishonoring of a good man. We blew it by NOT putting a stop to the rampant voter fraud that we all knew was surely to come BEFORE it even happened. And we blew it because...geesh...the list goes on and on, and that is the saddest thing of all.

And out of those who caused us to blow it in 2012...and who might just cause us to blow it in 2014...I have a particular bone to pick with certain groups of people within our ranks...the social issue voters ...the 3rd party voters...the non-voters...and the what I call the 'it's my way to God or NO way to God' voters. First, the social issue voters. When are these people going to wake up and realize that the social issues can only be dealt with AFTER our side is in control...as in holding the majority in both Houses of Congress. We must realize and accept as fact that social change will NOT come while the Democrats are in control of the Senate because the votes for the social issues are just NOT there... period. So put the social issues on the back burner for now...they can and will be dealt with when Republicans...YES Republicans...are in control of both Houses of Congress.

Second, the 3rd party voters. Now listen up you guys...NO...I repeat NO 3rd party candidate will ever win the White House or be in control of Congress...nor will the writing in of Mickey Mouse or Jesus afford that wanted result either...as the numbers are NOT and will NEVER be there. A two-party system works...and works well...when the premise of the 'good guys' vs the 'bad guys' comes into play. In fact, a 3rd party vote...or a write-in vote...is actually a vote for the 'other side' as even one less vote for the 'good guys' by default is one more vote for the 'bad guys'... period. So suck it up if your candidate of choice is NOT the nominee whether for president or for Congress...hold your nose and pull the lever for whomever has the 'R' next to their name for if the Senate and House are under the control of the Republicans... true Conservative Republicans...or better yet TEApublicans...even a more moderate Republican president can be kept in check...yet another reason we must turn Congress RED.

Third, in relation to the 2012 election and hopefully something that will NOT become an issue in the 2014 mid-term election, is the fact that it's time for those religious leaders who seem to think that they and only they know what's best for our country to go back to ministering to their flocks on all things religious and stay out of politics. Politics and religion do NOT meld well when one particular religion's beliefs totally discount the beliefs of others...even others who believe in the one true living God just as they do, but who happen NOT to follow their particular tenets of religious dogma. And politics and religion do NOT meld well when these same religious leaders advice their blind followers...those who do NOT exercise the free will God gave all men...to stay home and NOT vote at all because they do NOT like the religion of a certain candidate.

And lastly, when all is stripped away what matters as much in 2014 as it did in 2012...maybe even more so...is the fact that numbers win or lose an election whether for Congressional seats or for the presidency, and in 2012, about 93 million eligible voters did NOT exercise their right to vote... including 3 million registered Republicans who were unhappy with Mitt Romney being a Mormon. And if 2012's voter turnout is an indication of the still on-going apathy in our country today, it won't be long before less than half of all eligible voters actually cast the ballots that determine the future of our nation.

And for those apathetic millions who did NOT like either party's presidential candidate in 2012, it simply NEVER occurred to them that they could easily have skipped the 'top line' of the ballot and just voted for the Senate and House nominees. And if they had done so chances are we would now have a Republican Senate and a stronger hold on the House...translating into Obama would NOT have been able to do the amount of damage he now has been allowed to do. So I hope all of you who stayed home are happy with your decision...actually your betrayal of our beloved America...because the rest of us sure the hell are NOT.

And while all the above contributed to our losses in 2012, it must be understood that staying home is simply NOT an option come this November for its numbers that we need...big numbers. I cannot stress enough the importance of getting out the vote...and that means a grassroots effort from us all, including having the 'prayer warriors' say their prayers and then get off their knees and join in getting out the vote. And all efforts must be primarily focused on the Senate and House races putting the local races if NOT aside at least giving them a bit less importance than the Congressional races during this election cycle. And the reason why is the simple indisputable fact that we either retake the Senate and increase our numbers in the House or Barack HUSSEIN Obama's 'pen and phone' issuing of Executive Orders will be a walk in the park compared to what damage this man can do if he holds the strings to both Houses of Congress in his hand...and it will be our fault and ours alone if this happens...period.
