I write this article to
honor the wishes of Yarden Bibas, the husband of Shiri Bibas and the
father of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, the two young children who were
savagely murdered while in captivity at the hands of Hamas. And even
through his grief Yarden Bibas...after having
seen his children's bodies being returned and identified... asked an IDF spokesman to let the “entire world know” about the “horrific manner” in which Ariel and Kfir met their end. And so
in their and their dear mother Shiri's memory I dedicate the very article I wish I never had to
write.
And
here I begin with the words of Benjamin Netanyahu, who upon hearing
that Hamas did not, at first, return the body of Shiri Bibas as per
the ceasefire agreement, and that they had also savagely murdered
Shiri and Yarden's two young sons, lead him to state, “As
the prime minister of Israel, I vow that I will not rest until the
savages who executed our hostages are brought to justice. They do not
deserve to walk the earth. Nothing will stop me. Nothing.” And
to thatI
say no
truer words spoken for the sooner Hamas and all who support them are
eliminated, the sooner both some semblance of healing and the working

The
Article I Wish I Never Had to Write

I write this article to

And
here I begin with the words of Benjamin Netanyahu, who upon hearing
that Hamas did not, at first, return the body of Shiri Bibas as per
the ceasefire agreement, and that they had also savagely murdered
Shiri and Yarden's two young sons, lead him to state, “As
the prime minister of Israel, I vow that I will not rest until the
savages who executed our hostages are brought to justice. They do not
deserve to walk the earth. Nothing will stop me. Nothing.” And
to thatI
say no
truer words spoken for the sooner Hamas and all who support them are
eliminated, the sooner both some semblance of healing and the working
towards a true and lasting peace can finally begin.
And
also upon hearing his that, “Shiri
Bibas' body was not returned as promised,” adding
to President Trump’s words of just a few weeks ago that, “all
hell will break loose”
if all the hostages aren't released and all bodies aren't returned by
a certain date...special hostage envoy Adam Boehler warned
Hamas that they will face “total
annihilation”
if they do not immediately release all the hostages. And
to Boehler's words I also add my own words that, “not
only should Hamas be annihilated but so too should every Hamas
supporting Palestinian man, woman, and child which might, in this
case, sadly mean all of Gaza residents.”
And why do I say what some will deem to be but hate fueled words of
revenge...because to date as I write this article, I have not heard
even one Gaza resident come forward to condemn Hamas' actions of
October 7th; the horrendous treatment the hostages received while
captives of Hamas; nor the fact that it's Hamas who has broken what
was agreed to in “phase
one” of
the ceasefire agreement. Remember, if one does not condemn, one
condones.
And
while “all
hell breaking lose”
and total “annihilation”
hasnot
yet taken
place, I
do want to believe that in the end “hell”
will be even worse for Hamas than what they possibly could have
imagined. And why so...because the latest atrocities committed by
Hamas against these two innocent children...one but 10-months old...has not
only set the stage, but is the catalyst for, their very own demise. And
know Hamas' demise will likely take place when Hamas least expects it, for their ultimate fate will be sealed at a time, place, and in a manner of Netanyahu's and Israel's choosing
alone.
So
while Hamas...who thinks themselves invincible but who in my mind are
“pieces
of human garbage”...stillloves
to play “dress
up”
and strut around in military fatigues while pointing loaded rifles at
terrified hostages head; these anything but men continue to cover
their own faces out of fear of being identified, outed, and publicly
named. Cowards all...cowards who deliberately, and in “cold
blood,”
murder helpless babies with their own bare hands and thinks that
makes them men. “Denizens
of Hell” is what they really are for there are no words that
can describe those who relish in showing the civilized world the end
result of their inhumane actions...actions that have taken Ernest
Hemingway's words that, “the
smallest coffins are the heaviest coffins of all,” to
an entirely new level.
And these “pieces
of human garbage” murdered
Shiri Bibas and her two beautiful children...children who had barely
lived their lives...one a child who had yet to even take his first
steps...children taken from their home on October 7th, only to be
murdered but a month later by savages after God only knows what pain and suffering was inflicted upon them before their deaths. There are no mere words
that can truly discribe the cruelty that Hamas must have inflicted on then 10-month
old baby Kfir and his four-year old brother Ariel...murdered for no
other reason than they were Jews. “Never Forgive...Never
Forget,” those four hauntingly simple yet powerful words that do, once again, say it all.
And to deliberately add insult and
injury to the Bibas family's pain, and to the pain of 84-year old
hostage Oded Lifschitz family...whose remains were returned on the
sane day as the Bibas children... Hamas not only parading the tiny
coffin of baby Kfir around in a malicious attempt to show the world
that Hamas still deems themselves to the boss in Gaza; Shiri Bibas'
coffin held not her promised remains but those of an unidentified
Palestinian woman instead. And while the coffins were mockingly
paraded through the streets, Palestinians...including
children...applauded and spit on the coffins as they passed by. And
it's the images of baby Kfir's tiny coffin and that of his brother
Ariel, that are now ingrained in what is a tearful forever...and that
says all one needs to know about Hamas for “the
smallest coffins are (indeed)
the
heaviest coffins of all.”
I cannot even begin to imagine the
pain, anguish, and heartache that their father Yarden...who was also
taken hostage on October 7th but was released in the February 1st
hostage exchange...must feel knowing that the very thing that helped
to keep him alive while being held captive was the hope that somehow
his beloved family had survived and that someday they would be
together again. But now all Yarden Bibas has left is precious memories, the
very thing even Hamas cannot take away from this brave man.
Yarden Bibas, who has now laid his
beloved wife and children together in "everlasting rest" understands the truth better than most that evil does indeed walk amongst us. Evil so vile that it sees grown men defiling,
mutilating, and pummeling with rocks his precious children's tiny bodies just to help feed into Hama's lie that
they had been killed during one of Israel's bombing attacks...evil so vile that the cowards who perpetrated such acts probably also forced Shiri to watch them die
before they murdered her as well. And yet this husband and father, even as he
grieves this most horrendous of losses, is a man of true courage for like
I said at the beginning of this article he wants the world to know
that the only way to stop evil is by is by exposing evils ugly truth.
So while Hamas has yet to be eliminated
in full, I still do believe that in time they will be for two
Saturdays ago, in a quite unexpected move, Israeli opposition leaders
“vowed” to give Benjamin Netanyahu both political and
public backing in a hoped for move tohelp
him bring homeall the remaining hostages held in
Gaza...or return their bodies to Israel if that be the case...in but
one sum total release. And said opposition did so even though
Netanyahu
had publicly stated that he will not agree to a complete withdrawal
from Gaza until Hamas' military and political capabilities are
totally eliminated, for that is the only thing that will ensure that
Hamas can no longer regroup and cause harm to Israel and the Jewish
people.
And while some in Israel, and even some misguided sorts here in the
U.S., still do believe that Benjamin Netanyahu is
actually...albeit unintentionally...setting the stage for Israel's
possible destruction courtesy of his even agreeing to negotiate with terrorists...most especially in regards to the disproportionate
hostage-to-prisoner ratio...nothing could be farther from the truth.
And also while some hostage families continue to blame Netanyahu for both
not doing more to rescue their family members still being held
hostage, and for a prisoner exchange that might well see the
regrouping of Hamas courtesy of those released from Israeli jails...I
truly do believe this blame is misplaced, for Benjamin Netanyahu
is carrying on his shoulders and in his heart, the collective
grief of both Israel and the Jewish people...a blame no one man...no one leader...should ever have to bear alone.
The
Jewish people must stand united behind Benjamin Netanyahu...a man now
forced by circumstances to have to make “Solomon” like
decisions while at the same time trying to save the Jewish nation...for many
are forgetting that if not for him none of the hostages taken on
October 7th would have ever seen home or their loved ones again.
And
so I close the article I wish I never had to write, but
due to the horrific circumstances perpetrated by those I will always
deem to be just“pieces of human
garbage,”
I knew I had to write it. I had to write it not just for Yarden Bibas to help
spread his pleas that “the truth
must get out” about
what happened to his beloved family, but because I know, in my heart, that not
to do so would see other “small
heavy caskets”
being buried as well, for “Never
Again” has sadly proven to be now.
May the God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob...keep Shiri Bibas and her precious babies
safe in His arms, and יהי זכרם של צדיקים לברכה... “may the
memory of the righteous be a blessing”
(“yehi zchram shel tzdikim
levarka”) to
those now left behind. Amen.

Op-ed:
An Uncalled For Misstep

He has already
proven to be a great president for under his stewardship not only was
America great again, but American exceptionalism was on display for
all the world to see. We were, to name but a few, energy independent;
inflation was at a 40-year low; black American's and other minorities
saw their job numbers soaring; our southern border was for the most
part secured; and American foreign policy triumphs led to things like
the Abraham Accords. And dare we forget that Vladimir Putin was kept
in check; Ukraine was aligning itself with the West; we were free of
Obama's very bad Iranian nuclear deal; and Kim Jung-un was but a
laughable threat at best.
He obviously being
America's 45th president...President Donald J. Trump.
America was on the
right tract under this man leadership and would have remained so if
not for Dominion voting machines; illegals and dead folks voting;
mail-in ballots suddenly turning up in the middle of night; and other
assorted Democrat initiated nasties...like made up scandals and false
accusations. Simply, in no way did “basement
Joe”
garner 80 million votes, but what is...is...and nothing anyone can
say or do will change the fact that we now are baring witness to
Barack HUSSEIN Obama's third...and quite disastrous...term in office.
The puppet master pulling the strings of a fool has seen his so
wanted “fundamental
transformation of America”
sadly starting to reach fruition.
And while Donald J. Trump
did prove that a non-politician could indeed get elected and do great
things as President of these United States, what with his message and
policy initiatives resonating with the soul of America as he stood
strong for the rule of law that is the Constitution as well as for
the values, ideals, and morals that we as Americans hold dear, in no
way did we expect him to be perfect. However, I did hope that Trump
would continue to conduct himself in a presidential manner even after
his having left office. And while Democrats in no way adhere to that
philosophy...Bill and Hillary Clinton and Obama himself are prime
examples of those who just will not relinquish the spotlight...I did
expect Donald Trump to learn from past mistakes made and reemerge as
an even stronger version of himself especially if he were to run
again.
But, sadly it seems I was
wrong. But before I get into that, let me say that if Trump does
decide to run again and gets the Republican nomination, I will not
only vote for him but work hard to help get him elected. We need a
man like Trump to “Make America Great Again,” but we do
not need the theatrics nor childishness...as in the name calling and
barrage of insulting social media posts...that still seems to be Trump's hallmark.
Simply, Trump needs to learn to keep his mouth shut or he will not only loose the all important state of
Florida as well as the independent vote come 2024, but he will loose
that election itself. Why...because it seems he did not learn that
childish behavior not only impresses no one, but actually turns people
off. A case in point...at a campaign rally for Dr. Oz in Latrobe,
Pennsylvania this past Saturday, Trump childishly gave the “Free
State of Florida's” great and highly beloved Governor Ron
DeSantis the insulting nickname “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
Not only was that insulting and uncalled for especially with
DeSantis now working hard to help restore southwest Florida to some
semblance of its pre-Ian condition, but Trump knows that Ron
DeSantis...according to leading pollsters...is his main rival for
the Republican presidential nomination. And this is never mind that
our governor...and yes I'm a proud Floridian...has not even
announced nor given any indication that he will or will run for president in 2024.
But if Gov. DeSantis should choose to run for the
Republican nomination, he likely is the only one in the list of
possible candidates who could prevent Trump from garnering said
nomination. And why... because DeSantis' record as governor speaks
for itself. And nothing highlights that record better than the fact
that during the Covid pandemic Florida rightfully earned the
aforementioned moniker the “Free State of
Florida” for not only were DeSantis' Covid
policies driven by common sense and implemented with unwavering
logic...remember Florida's schools and businesses were the first to
reopen and stay open...but he successfully fought back against the
left's racially driven and woke indoctrination nonsense while
implementing true conservative policies in our state...the
“Heartbeat Law” amongst them. And his
response to Hurricane Ian is truly one for the history books what
with destroyed bridges rebuilt in less than a months time. But, and
this shows the true character of the man, Gov. DeSantis has done all this without his saying one negative word about
Donald J. Trump, the man he knows played a key role in getting
him elected the first time he ran for governor.
In other words, gratitude, respect, and above all honor has
always been shown towards President Trump by Gov. DeSantis, the very
things Trump seems to have trouble doing when he's faced with any sort of
criticism let alone competition whether it be real or simply
self-perceived. And it's this, in turn, which then leads him to revert
back to childish name calling behavior.
In fact, Trump's latest
uncalled for behavior directed at Gov. DeSantis has resulted in some
conservative commentators...commentators usually aligned with
President Trump...now calling him to task. Take for example Matt
Walsh, a commentator at The Daily Wire and a leading voice amongst
social conservatives who rightfully stated that, “DeSantis
is an extremely effective conservative governor who has had real
policy wins and real cultural wins. Trump isn’t going to be able
to take this one down with a dumb nickname. He better have more than
that up his sleeve,” if he were to politically negate
DeSantis. And Walsh added, “Also, nice job launching your
public attack against the most popular conservative governor in
America three days before the midterms when we’re all supposed to
be showing a united front”...wise and truthful words indeed.
Then there's Rod Dreher, a senior editor at The American
Conservative who simply stated of Trump, “What an idiot,”
adding that, “DeSantis is a far more effective leader of the
Right than Trump was, if, that is, you expect a leader to get a lot
done, rather than just talking about it and owning the libs.” And
while I would never use the word “idiot” to
describe President Trump, after all he was one of our most
economically successful presidents ever, I will say Trump needs to
control the words that at times foolishly spew from his mouth.
And while other commentators (including editors at The Wall Street Journal) have also called Trump to task for
his DeSantis remarks, I think the words of former Secretary of State
Mike Pompeo probably say it the best, and does so minus the nasty vitriol shown
by some others. In his defending Gov. DeSantis, Pompeo
tweeted these simple but powerful words, “Not tired of
winning. @GovRonDeSantis you’ve proven conservative policies work.
Florida is better for it. Vote for @GovRonDeSantis.” And
to that I say if Trump was smart...and we know he is...he would
humble himself and issue an apology to Gov. DeSantis, but with Trump
being Trump, I sadly doubt his ego would ever allow him to do so.
So as things stand now President Trump will likely announce his
2024 presidential run next week, and will garner the Republican
nomination no matter who announces his or her run for said
nomination. And as I stated in the beginning of this article I will
support, vote for, and work to help get Donald J. Trump reelected,
even with there being some uneasiness not in my voting for him, but
in an underlying feeling that this run for president is primarily
based upon revenge instead of it solely being about “Making
America Great Again.”
Why and how so? We all know
that Trump is not a politician per se which is one of his strongest
assets, but we also know that political savvy is needed, at least
to some degree, when one is playing in the political arena. And we
also know that while Trump listens to advice given, he seldom takes
said advice unless it melds with his personal opinions. In fact, some of his
misguided cabinet posts and appointments prove just that...remember
turncoats Gen. McMasters and Ambassador John Bolton for example let
alone former FBI Director James Comey, his infamous holdover from
the Obama administration. And dare we forget Mike Pence, Trump's
pick for VP...the one man who could have rendered the 2020 election
a fraud but didn't...a man, like the others, that I didn't trust
from day one. Also, political savvy is greatly needed when campaign
promises made are unable to be kept...our now unsecured southern
border is an example of that even while not...I repeat not...being
Trump's fault.
A truly successful president must
be able to deflect his opposition...in Trump's case
the Democrat's deliberate and malicious smear campaigns and
lies...something he was unable to do as president and still is
unable to do as he considers yet another presidential run. How
so...both Obama and Hillary are still freely running loose to do
him political harm, and even John Durham failed in his quest for the truth while fighting on
Trump's behalf, a sad reality Trump now has to face as all will surely
come back to haunt.
Another Trump run will likely
be yet another mudslinging free for all replete with silly
nicknames and nonstop social media posting all echoing back to the
nightmare that was 2020. And while some have no problem with that
many do for our country...our republic...is in serious trouble and
we no longer have time for such nonsense. We are tethering on the
abyss of losing it all and Donald J. Trump...while having been a
great president...might not be the right man at this point in time
what with too many variables and unsettling possibilities now
coming into play.
I truly believe that the time
has come to turn the reigns of power over to the next generation of
leaders...the DeSantis generation...men and women of the age who
bravely fought in Iraq and Afghanistan...for times have
changed...the world has changed...while many of our current
leaders...Trump included...still hold onto both past glories and
hatreds. And while that in and of itself is not a bad thing,
America must look to the future in order to remain what our
Founders and Framers envisioned for our great country or else
America, as we know and love her, will be laying in a grave next to
them.
And so with both Gov. DeSantis and President Trump holding
separate rallies here in Florida this past Sunday,* our governor
wisely chose not to take the bait Trump laid out with his name
calling. In fact, while speaking at the Sun City Community Center,
DeSantis chose instead to focus on his record as governor...focusing
on the issues at hand and issues that will arise in the future. But
whether Ron DeSantis remains our governor in 2024 or chooses to run
for the Republican nomination, know that this man will someday be
President of these United States, and it hopefully will be with
President Trump's support.
But for now if Trump announces a 2024 run I remain steadfastly
loyal in voting for him...it's the patriotic, America loving thing to
do...no ifs, ands, or buts.
* While in Florida on Sunday, Trump did “urge” Floridians to vote for his“good friend” Sen. Marco Rubio and also for Gov. Ron DeSantis, but no apology or official endorsement was given regarding DeSantis.
