A quick update on the federal investigation into Hillary Clinton's improper, national security-compromising email scheme, via the FBI director:
FBI Director James Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday that the FBI would not let the White House interfere with the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. “Anybody’s view about an investigation they’re not involved in is irrelevant,” Comey said, and promised that the White House would not influence the investigation. “We care about finding out what is true, and doing that in a competent, honest, and independent way,” he said. “I promise you that’s the way we conduct ourselves.” “As I’ve said many times, we don’t give a rip about politics,” Comey said.
This probe is serious and has expanded in scope. Comey likely felt compelled to affirm that political considerations will not infect his bureau's work because the nation's chief executive, to whom the Attorney General reports, decided to weigh in on Clinton's legal culpability amid the ongoing investigation. Speaking of which, is this an escalation?

State Dept computers have also been seized in addition to
@HillaryClinton server

If the FBI has access to the "complete" email tranche provided by Hillary to the State Department, as well as her private server (from which they've reportedly recovered messages her team attempted to unilaterally delete), they may be able to determine how many work-related emails she tried to destroy -- a separate issue from the 'gross negligence' of classified materials angle. She claimed she only deleted personal emails, but that has been exposed as a lie, several times over. I discussed Comey's remarks on Fox News earlier, courtesy of Right Sightings: See video here: 'COMEY: FBI Not Briefing Pres Obama about Clinton Email Investigation'

A substantial majority of American voters view Mrs. Clinton as dishonest and untrustworthy, both on this specific issue and in general.  Relatedly, the presumptive Democratic nominee recently contradicted the explicit recollection of four separate Benghazi family members regarding what she told them at a private meeting in the days following that deadly terrorist attack.

Garland jihadi sent 109 encrypted messages that FBI can’t read
This is not a matter of privacy rights anymore when the jihadis attempted mass murder. These messages are evidence in a criminal investigation, and represent a larger national security issue. The idea that there would be any pushback against the FBI for trying to get these messages is breathtaking. “109 Encrypted Messages Sent by Jihadi […]

Homeland Security Shut Down Investigation Into Farook And Malik Linked Jihad Group To Protect ‘Civil Liberties’ Of Potential Terrorists

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) deleted intel records relating to notorious jihadists linked to San Bernardino Islamic terrorists Sayed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, because they wanted to protect the “civil liberties” of members of the caliphate-supporting network.

My civil liberties and your civil liberties are being abridged in accordance with the blasphemy laws under Shariah (Islamic laws). My organization is engaged in 15 different free speech lawsuits against various cities. Our free speech lawsuit against Boston is heading to the Supreme Court because even though truthful, our ads violate the laws of sharia (‘do not criticize Islam’). We are being forced to adhere to sharia mores but jihad murderers are given...

“You can’t be a Trump Republican and a Ronald Reagan Republican.”

That’s the tweet I sent to Jeb Bush the other day, when virtually the entire planet was united in bashing Donald Trump’s call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to the USA.

I also tweeted another obvious truth, “If the Republican Party doesn’t dump Donald Trump, the American people will.

Trump’s outrageous “Muslims Keep Out” plan – apparently his policy answer to last week’s terrorist attack in San Bernadino – is an embarrassment to our country and what it stands for.

It’s also a serious threat to the Republican Party, because it’s being used by Hillary, Democrat hacks in Congress and the Big Liberal Media to smear the GOP as the party of bigots and idiots.

Completely shutting down Muslim immigration is the latest – and probably the worst -- idea in a series of awful ideas that Trump throws out whenever he feels he’s not getting enough media attention.

He launched his political career by promising he’d “solve” the immigration problem by rounding up 11 million Hispanics and other illegals and tossing them out of the country.
There's a tendency in politics to mistake personal animosity for ideological animosity.

Consider Bill Clinton. His staggering dishonesty, tackiness and scorn for the rule of law aroused a lot of anger from the right. But he wasn't really that left-wing.

Oh, he was certainly more liberal in his heart than he let on, but he also worked from the assumption that this was a center-right country, and that limited what he could get away with.

Clinton ran for president the first time by "triangulating" against the base of his own party. He took time off from the campaign to oversee the execution of Ricky Ray Rector, a man so mentally disabled, when he left for the electric chair, he told the guards that he was saving the pecan pie from his last meal "for later." Clinton signed welfare reform (reluctantly), the Defense of Marriage Act (less reluctantly), helped to balance the budget, and proclaimed that "the era of big government is over."

And yet, many conservatives insisted he was a no-good hippy left-winger.

George W. Bush ran on a platform of "compassionate conservatism." Once elected, his first order of business was to work with Ted Kennedy on education. He passed the biggest expansion of entitlements in this country since the Great Society (Medicare Part D), increased the federal workforce and increased federal spending per household.

And yet, during his presidency -- even before 9/11 -- he was routinely called a heartless right-winger.

Muslim Persecution of Christians — Call it what it is: GENOCIDE

Muslim Persecution of Christians — Call it what it is: GENOCIDE
While I prefer to speak of our age as the New Era of Christian Martyrdom, by the secular definition, the global Muslim persecution of Christians, especially that perpetrated by the Islamic State in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, clearly should be classified as genocide. Observers have been calling it genocide for years now, […]

Report: Obama Told NSC And FBI To ‘Downplay’ Terrorist Angle Of San Bernardino

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

This is immoral and evil. The only thing more dangerous than the jihad threat is the jihad threat in the White House.

As the mangled broken bodies of Americans at a Christmas party lay in a river of blood Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the heads of other federal enforcement agencies to discuss a public relations strategy.

“A public relations strategy.” Not a counter terror strategy. Not a plan to fly to San Bernardino to meet with the families of the deceased. Not an emergency meeting to address and and examine his failed policies that led to this catastrophic intel failure.

Downplay Islamic terror. More sharia in the wake of jihad slaughter.
