WooooHoooo...the nominee WILL be Romney!!!

This afternoon, Presidential candidate Rick Santorum  backed out of the race and officially conceded the Republican nomination to MITT ROMNEY, the man I have supported since day one.  While his reasons for dropping out range from the serious illness of his daughter Bella to the fact that more and more leading Republicans continue to endorse ROMNEY while telling him that he needs to drop out because he cannot win, the fact remains that he has done the right thing for the party.

Also a factor in this is the fact that this weekend a very damaging ad was to start running saying that Pennsylvanians did NOT want him as their Senator and they sure don't want him as their president!  Add to this that his poll numbers in Pennsylvania have been drastically falling, and he had to see the writing on the wall.  After all he had no national campaign in place and his monies have all but dried up.

Also this means that Newt Geingrich, who is deeply in debt, needs to do the right thing and officially concede, and NOT keep a failing campaign going just to, as he said on FOX the other night, keep ROMNEY on a conservative path.  He must understand that now party unity trumps everything, and do the right thing like Rick Santorum has just done and step out.

Now for party unity, I hope that ALL Republicans will UNITE behind ROMNEY and work like they've never worked before to help him send the usurping traitor packing.  That means working on the grassroots level to get the vote out and to convince Independents that ROMNEY is the best man to be president.
