Political Musings 2028

...So with all that said, plus the fact that American's from both sides of the aisle made it clear last November 5th that they're fed up with all the illegal/border nonsense, the social issues in general, DEI and trans/he-she /pronoun nonsense that's being forced down our collective throats, coupled with all the wasteful government spending and mandated must do nonsense, Tim Waltz still continues to spout off that what the Democrats need to win in 2028 is to double down on said nonsense. A foolish man indeed for it's but a sure way for Democrats to lose yet again, as well they should.

However, if the the Democrats are serious in wanting even a chance to win in 2028...which by the way they won't do as Trump's successful “America First” four years will see to that...at least they won't go down like they did in 2024's humiliating election defeat if they chose a more palatable candidate...a more moderate, more centrist, candidate whose vision for America is more aligned with “We the People's” wishes...Read entire article here.

Political Musings 2028

In politics, as in life, most people tend not learn from their mistakes let alone even try to rectify said mistakes. Some people even continue making the same mistakes over and over thinking that eventually they will be proven right and that everyone else was wrong all along. Oh how foolish some people, some politicians, and political parties can be. But thankful a caveat exists in that politically, both in 2026 and in 2028, the Democrats sure to be continued mistakes will become Republican victories once again.

“If I think I could offer something...I would certainly consider that.” - - 2024 VP candidate Tim Walz when asked if he is considering running for president in 2028

So here let's begin by my saying have you noticed how much air and press time Minnesota Governor and Kamala Harris' 2024 VP running mate Tim Walz has received of late. I most certainly have as it seems the man even more disliked then Kamala Harris is now one of a handful of those being “groomed,” if you will, to be the possible 2028 Democrat presidential candidate.

And if the thought of Tim Walz isn't bad enough there's the ever infamous Alexandria Ocasio Cortez...or AOC as she's more commonly known...now being seen by some as a “leading star” within the Democrat Party, thus making her a possible 2028 contender for the party's presidential nomination. In fact, an early March CNN poll showed that AOC was the “top politician” amongst both Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents when asked which “one person best reflects the core values” of the party, with her scoring even higher then Kamala Harris who, unfortunately, will remain in the Democrat's presidential nomination mix until she herself says...or Barack Obama tells her to say...that she will not be running for the office of president in 2028.

Now also add these five, in no particular order, Democrat names into the cauldron as possible nominees starting, in my opinion, with: 

1. New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, the Democrat who even The New York Times named as being the “third most liberal senator” based solely upon his voting record...a record that clearly shows he is in full support of affirmative action, same-sex marriage, a single-payer healthcare system, the call for “reparations” for descendants of slavery, and far left economic reform regarding supposed race based “wealth inequality” being at the top of his priorities list. An easily manipulated and controlled Democrat party loyalist who easily meets certain must be checked off boxes, Booker does rake in the dollars when running for offiice...something the Democrat hierarchy loves.

2. 
   Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, the man who constructed his state's agenda of “defending Pennsylvanians fundamental freedoms” by using “common sense,” which, to me, means that he is the best of possible Democrat nominees to date. Why so...because Josh Shapiro understands the importance of bipartisanship, and worked with Republicans to invest more monies in PA's public educational system, has hired hundreds of new State troopers, and invested millions in economic development to help create jobs in communities previously ignored. Shapiro could be a formidable rival if Democrats get over the fact that Shapiro is both Jewish and a supporter of Israel.

3. 
   Michigan Governor Gretchen E. Whitmer whose main agenda continues to encompass increasing women's rights, adding more legal protections for both abortion rights and LGTBQ+ rights, with a small dose of increased educational funding and monies for road and infrastructure repairs thrown in for good measure. But, the bottom line is that the woman who promised to “get things done that will make a real difference in people's lives,” still sees her priority being the social issues which, while it helps to check off certain key boxes, it's still not enough for her to secure her party's nomination let alone the presidency.

4. 
   Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey who not only sued the Trump administration more than 100 times...a plus checked off for the far left...but she is the one who relishes in vocally deeming that Border Czar Tom Homan has a “fixation” on Massachusetts. A “climate change” advocate who wants Massachusetts to become a “world leader in combating the climate crisis,” Healey wants the entirety of our nation's economy to become solely “clean energy” driven, And not to be overlooked is her want to turn unused state owned land and public property into affordable rental housing within a year's time...a hoped for vote garnering operation that will go nowhere.

5. 
   And lastly, California's water rationing, “I basically was fiddling while Los Angeles burned,” Governor Gavin Newsom rounds out the list of whom I think are the most likely leading Democrat possibilities for president come 2028. The governor whose poorly designed and executed economic policies not only destroyed California's what once was a thriving manufacturing industry, but saw it leading to record high housing and energy costs, sky high taxes, failing public schools, and homelessness becoming an acceptable new norm. Yet he remains the party hierarchy's “golden boy.” Why so...because Gavin Newsom has, for better or worse, enough national name recognition and clout to draw the party defectors back into the Democrat fold.
   

But know there could be others as well, others who while not having enough name recognition to pull votes away from top name contenders, but who could easily become the pivotal wrench thrown into what would be a spoiler mix. Names like former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, New York's nursing home/covid disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Obama loyalist and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel whose name not so unexpectedly always seems to pop up on the political radar just around election time.

And so Tim Waltz who recently was not only asked about his 2028 political ambitions, but asked why he believes the 2024 Democrat presidential ticket failed, answered the first part by using a football analogy. Saying that, “In football parlance, we were in a prevent defense to not lose when we never had anything to lose because I don’t think we were ever ahead,” a truth many of us knew all along as the public momentum needed to win this race was never behind the Harris/ Waltz ticket. Also, Waltz continues to ignore the fact that “We the People” simply did not believe that neither he nor Harris championed American values and ideals or that they would fight for right over wrong.

Now as to the specifics of exactly why their ticket failed, Waltz answered because, “the Democrats played it too safe during the cycle,” by their not being“bold enough' to stand up for diversity, equity and inclusion and immigration.” Oh how wrong Tim Waltz is as America...as Americans...as a whole, is fed up with and tired of all the race baiting distractions that are the hallmark of both the DEI rhetoric and unfettered immigration... simply what I consider to be even more infamous “Obamaisms” now sadly come back to haunt.

And so Tim Waltz, who loves to state that he never lost an election before last November, needs to understand that his chances are slim to none of his ever becoming the Democrats 2028 nominee for the political baggage he carries will only get heavier if he tries to continue on this course.

So who then do I think might become the Democrat 2028 presidential nominee?

But before I tell you the answer to that and why, let me begin by saying that many on both sides of the political aisle still think it will, in the end, be CA. Governor Gavin Newsom, And why so...because of Newsom's national name recognition; his still being able to swing political clout; his self-anointing of himself as the leader of the fight against Trump and his agenda; and the fact that Newsom has mastered the all-important, much needed to win an election skill of what I call the sometimes dirty “art of political deflection.”

How so? Here's but one key example. Remember after the devastating Los Angels wildfires how, as governor, Newsom successfully shifted the bulk of the fire blame game off of himself putting it squarely on the shoulders of Los Angeles' Mayor Karen Bass, who rightfully must share in the blame. Only a true politician obsessed with himself and with a dedicated cause would be able to do that. And besides, the narcissism that drives Newsom ever forward, also finds this man possessing the trait of single focused “self-determination”... as in no one best stand in the way of what he wants. Remember, Gavin Newsom has been laying the groundwork since mid-2023 for a 2028 presidential run that he deems should rightfully go to him.

And for me, a least this far out from 2028, I believe Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro would be the most sensible choice for the Democrats because he is more of a JFK style Democrat in that he has successfully worked and continues to work with Republicans to get things done in his state. Putting his state's needs before what is his party's leftist agenda sends a powerful message to all voters. A centrist Democrat who puts his country first...like did JFK...would at least be somewhat palatable to our Republican side if by some outside chance he were somehow to win, which thankfully I seriously doubt.

But even with that said, I know that Gavin Newsom could well still become the Democrats nominee for Newsom is one thing that Josh Shapiro is not...a Catholic and not a Jew. You, dear reader, figure it out as the sad times we're now in speak for itself. Case closed.

Negating American Culture

...And at times in our nation's past assorted what became known as “cultural identities” were kept somewhat in both perspective and in-check when weighing the commonalities which helped to unite our multitudes together against that which separated and divided folks of different backgrounds into what has now morphed into compartmentalized sub-categories. And it's those sub-categories that have not only become prevalent in today's America... what with the words “cultural identity” taking over the public discourse...leaving what really defines one as being an “American” to be used instead to help not only divide the very “fabric” that encompasses the entirety of what is the collective sum of “We the People,” but to shame, mock, and accuse our country of being a “racist nation” if we don't buy into the liberal rhetoric known as DEI...“diversity, equity,” and “inclusion.” 

 

Our beloved America has also...in the name of liberal generated “political correctness”...been stripped of what unites “We the People” together simply because the “natural order of things” has been willfully corrupted and compromised solely for one party's political gain. And this, in turn, leaves those of us who still proudly call ourselves “Americans”...as in we who refuse to buy into the sub-group category known as“identity politics”...those of us who will not use hyphens, skin color, sexuality, or religious affiliation to define who we are as “Americans”...are being forced to...Read entire article here.

The words “Cultural identity” are usually dictionary defined as being, “the shared characteristics of a group of people which encompasses their place of birth, religion, language, social behaviors, literature, art, and music.” In other words, it's the commonality of that which unites together those who share not only an ancestral origin but who adhere to a given ideology...political or otherwise...coupled with a specific set of values, beliefs, societal norms, and narratives.

Sadly, in our country today...again thanks to the far left... what is called “identity politics” has not only changed the fundamentals of “American culture,” but it has now so overwhelmed the public discourse that we find even basic level “Americanism” being shunned only to be replaced by an entity of subgroups known as “Black culture, White culture, Hispanic culture, Oriental culture, Indigenous People's culture, Christian culture, Jewish culture, Muslim culture, Gay culture, Transgender culture, Woke culture,” the list goes on ad-nauseum. In other words, what was true “American culture” has broken down to such a degree that any and all that deem themselves to be a culture unto itself is now being forcibly shoved down our throats as must be accepted components of the fabric of our nation

Simply, what the leftists forget is that, at times, the sum of the whole of “American culture” is not always derived by its individual nor unique components, for such components do tend to be be added or removed when the political parties in control of power switch hands. However, what does make we “Americans” and our “culture” unique is not about the names we call ourselves nor is about TV shows watched, games played, books read, foods eaten, individual religious beliefs held or not held, or which poliical party one belongs to, but it is about that which collectively binds us together as “We the People” while encompassing our individual similarities yet understanding our multitude of individual differences.

“American culture” is also not about where one was born nor must it ever be about the color of ones skin for once we are able to look past “skin color” other more important issues might naturally start falling into place. But what “American culture” is about is the joining together of our individual differences and melding them together into an amalgam that represents the sum total of one united people...a people who believe in and cherish the rule of law and the freedoms our Constitution affords us while at the same time striving for that which is the hallmark of “American exceptionalism.” Remember, “America culture”...true “American culture”...has in it no place for hate, bigotry, or divisiveness for the culture that comprises our nation's reality must remain one of “unity” because without “unity” we as a nation will ultimately fail only to be replaced by something unrecognizable to us...something which we might never be able to return from.

But, and sad as it might be, maybe America's failing is and has always been the ultimate goal of some...some who have no pride in nor love for this country coupled with their having no respect for her Constitutional rule of law. Instead, these are folks who relish in using an arsenal comprised of divisiveness, hate, violence, and fearmongering as the weapons by which to use against that what is our great “republic.” The “enemies within” now come to life...enemies usually funded in their quest by “enemies from without”...enemies who have much to gain by first culturally weaponizing certain groups of people against what is the sum of “American culture,” and then moving on from there to negating America herself.

And here I start with whom I consider to be the antithesis of what is not only tried and true “American culture” but “American exceptionalism” as well. Simply, “ground zero” from which began the corruption of said “American culture,” as well as the man who initiated and then implemented the far left turn into the cultural and moral ludicrousness that has overtaken our nation. And he did so, first by his directly stirring the pot of racial discontentment while adding into it what were decidedly adversarial social and moral narratives, and then by his hoping to at least get close to finishing the job he started courtesy of the shell of a man that is Joe Biden. But now this same man has tasked his newest puppet Kamala Harris with finishing the job Biden failed to do...while keeping his fingers crossed.

And of course I speak of Barack HUSSEIN Obama...the man who in the shadows has really been in control of the White House these past four long years...our nation's so-called first black president (he's “mixed race” actually as his mother and both maternal grandparents+ were white)...a man who took a nation almost healed from past self-inflicted racial wounds, and opened up said wounds allowing them to fester and grow solely to push forward his dream of what America and “American culture” should be. The man whose vision of “Transforming America” into a socialism driven “brown” nation sees his no longer needing to be metaphorically veiled “fourth term in office” closer to reaching its final fruition no matter that the cost to our nation, our culture, our identity, and our individual freedoms would be Constitutionally damning.

And so now as the annals of “American cultural history” continues to be written...history that must be based upon fact not upon how one man wants or doesn't want it to be written...misrepresentations still abound as to what really is meant by “American culture.”

So here I present the words of John F. Kennedy (JFK), America's 35th president...a Democrat who if alive today would be a Republican not so unlike in nature of that of our 45th and hopefully 47th President Donald J. Trump... for not only are both men's policies quite similar in nature, but so too is their wanting what's best for America and for the American people. Kennedy's famous words, “Ask not what your country can do for you...ask what you can do for your country,” puts our country not individual partisan politics first as do Trump's important words, “I want to be be president of all of America not just half of America.”

Simply, our identity as to who we should be as a nation...as a country...as in putting “country first” in the hopes of uniting “We the People” together as one in “liberty and freedom” should be paramount above all else, while at the same time striving to restore “common sense” and “civility” to the political discourse. Together these are what truly defines “American culture” or at least they should be. Case closed.

Vote Wisely...America's Survival Depends On It

As primary season now heats up it is important to remember three things: 1. America is not a democracy contrary to the Democrats forced upon us claim as we are and remain a republic...a constitutional republic...and it's high time people understand that and act and govern accordingly; 2. Trump was and is one hundred percent correct in saying that our government under Joe Biden has been weaponized against any and all who do not march in lockstep with his and his puppet master Obama's far left radical agenda; and 3. the Democrats have had eight long years (four when Trump was president and the four under Biden) to “perfect,” if you will, the “fix”...“perfect” it to such a degree that there will be no question as to whom the next president will be...in fact, in Democrat minds it's already been decided. After all, our Republican party remains too busy fighting amongst themselves to have done or still do anything of substance to make sure a voting fiasco like 2020 does not happen again. 

Remember, money talks; politicians are bought and paid for; backstabbing deals continue to be made; mystery mail-in ballots will, as always, suddenly appear; machines and tallies will again be tampered with; and besides, as I write this, over 72+% of voting Americans do not want a Trump v. Biden rematch...this author surely included.

And while I have come to terms with the fact that Donald J. Trump will be the Republican nominee for president, that does not mean I have to like it. Simply, I do not...I wanted Ron DeSantis to head the Republican ticket...but I am smart enough to know that while someday he will be president it will not be in 2024...please hurry up 2028. So now that leaves me and many others with five options: 1. vote for the Democrat whomever the final nominee is; 2. vote third party; 3. leave the presidential line blank; 4. write in any of the former Republican candidates of your choice as some are saying they will do; or 5. suck it up, put the clothespin on your nose, and vote Trump. And while I take my right to vote seriously like I'm sure many of you do too...in fact I have not missed voting in an election since I started voting at the age of 18...also know that at this point in time only numbers 4 or 5 are viable options for many more folks than most think or want to believe.

But know that when November comes around I will cast my vote for whom I believe is best for my country at this most critical point in time...I am, after all, an American patriot. And while my family will always come first, my country and the freedoms she affords us are right behind in second place. And besides, I would never vote for a Democrat president nor for a third party “spoiler”... which means that none of the first three options are an option for me. Why so? In regards to the Democrats it's because today's Democrat party is so far removed from JFK's Democrat party...a Democrat party who while different from we Republicans in how we view and interpret the law as laid down in the Constitution...it was still a party that loved this country and for whom “bipartisanship” was not a dirty word. 

And as far as voting for a third party “spoiler” in this most critical of election cycles, I truly believe that doing so is not the best way to go in 2024. And while a third party vote sends a much needed and powerful message to both the Republican and Democrat parties that one is not happy with either of those parties candidates, not to be forgotten is the fact, that no one running as a third party candidate has ever won or even come close to winning a major election. And this makes voting third party, especially in this particular election... seeming like nothing but a wasted vote to me.

And how sad it is that today's Democrat masses, along with most if not all of its party hierarchy, are so far to the left that the very party itself borders on Marxism come to life. And with folks like Barack Obama no longer even trying to hide in the shadows he, as both Joe Biden's and the party faithful's puppet master, does stands to gain his fourth term in office. And knowing this is the very thing that will help Joe Biden garner not just wayward and still undecided Democrat votes, but left leaning independent votes, and die-hard “Never Trump” votes as well...not a pretty picture I'd say.

Not a pretty picture at all, for even if every Republican rallied around President Trump as the Republican nominee...thus putting party loyalty above all else...I'm still not totally convinced that Trump could win in November, because the fact remains that it's independent voters who, more times than not, decide an election's winners and losers. And now with many independents still “on the fence,” so to speak, about whom to vote for...after all Trump has alienated not only a significant number of more moderate Republicans with his silly name calling and debate refusals; many women of all ages for what should be obvious reasons; along with hoped for “crossover” more moderate Democrat voters...we could in the end find that the majority of the independent vote went instead to a third party “spoiler” candidate.

Simply, directly, and to the point, without a significant number of the independent vote going to Donald Trump, I do not see a way he can win in November...primaries are one thing, the general election is something quite different.

And besides, even if Trump were able to skirt the sure to come attempted Democrat “fix,” ...voting “irregularities” the politically correct still like to call it...and pull off an election win, it could be but a hollow victory at best for we still might be facing a scenario on par with an actual Trump loss.

Do the words “impeachment” ring a bell?

Now remember back to the 2022 midterm disaster and how a “Red Wave” was predicted which instead turned out to be anything but, and how the hoped for “face saving” word “underwhelming” was freely bantered about even with us taking back the House but by the slimmest of margins. And in the interim between then and now not only did the House Speaker position change hands...Trump loyalists saw to that...but the infighting within the party itself grows stronger and nastier by the day, especially after losing an all-important New York House seat in a “special election” just a few short weeks ago. 

And dare not forget our other 2022 election loss, as in our failure to to retake the Senate what with the Democrats having successfully flipped four seats in their favor. In fact, the four Senate seats lost were in all-important “swing states,” and all who lost were high profile MAGA candidates endorsed by Trump himself.

One just needs to look to Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada to see but a few examples of how said 2020 and 2022 Trump endorsed “down-ticket” candidates lost...lost in what were competitive races...and know it can happen in 2024 as well, And this is especially important in regards to independent voters who not only do not have the guilt trip of party or candidate loyalty to deal with, but who tend to vote more in regards to a candidate's substance and what they bring to the table in the way of change from the political norm. And when you add in voter dissatisfaction with the Republican Party in general, coupled with the ongoing dissatisfaction of having to vote between what many call the “lesser of two evils,” the fact remains that if we do lose the House and fail to retake the Senate, a Trump presidential win would basically be meaningless.

Why so? Remember I previously stated the dreaded word “impeachment”...the fact remains that without Republican control of both Houses of Congress, know a third Trump impeachment is sure to follow and it will most probably be in record time, thus rendering the Republican party truly irrelevant not just for Trump's what would be a true “lame duck” one term presidency, but for many years...if not for a generation...to come.

So please do not think that Trump's retaking the White House is solely what November is all about...it's not...actually the “down-ticket” House and Senate Congressional wins are just as important if not more so. Simply, November must be about a total course change back to the “right” if our country is to survive even semi-intact. Remember, no matter what Biden or his people say or use as their “talking points”  to rally their masses, the truth is that our economy remains not in good shape as everyday Americans see wages not keeping pace with the costs of essential goods and services like groceries, the price at the pump, homes, healthcare, etc...what I call “generalized affordability” if you will...unemployment numbers are starting to rise again as they usually do after the holiday season is over; inflation is not really declining as it is status-quo at best; our southern border remains an unmitigated disaster; crime is on the rise especially retail crime; and the Middle East and Europe are both on the brink of all out war...Hamas, Iran, and Vladimir Putin have well seen to that.

Simply, if this November's race is indeed locked in to be Trump v. Biden once again, when you go to cast your vote at least not forget how good our economy was while Trump was in office; remember how energy independent we were and how the climate change loons were kept in check; and also that Putin and Iran feared us more than we feared them...then the choice between the so called “lesser of two evils” becomes a bit more palatable to cast. And if with a Trump win another “impeachment” is on the Democrat's horizon at least that will keep them busy...too busy to screw up our country anymore than they already have.

We as a nation can survive another what would be drama filled four years of Trump... political baggage, courtroom appearances, and all. What our beloved American republic cannot survive is four more years of Obama's socialist/Marxist driven “fundamental transformation of America” courtesy of Joe Biden's again happily dancing on his now totally knotted up puppet strings. Case closed.
