Op-ed:
Over the past few months President Trump tried to get Iran to not only “negotiate for peace” regarding it's war with Israel, but to abandon its nuclear program...a program not initiated for peaceful purposes but for the development of nuclear bombs...bombs whose destinations would be Israel and the U.S.
And when Iran decided they'd rather go to war than dismantle anything, Trump dismantled said program for them in a“divert and deflect” precision operation, where Iran's nuclear ambitions were “bunker bombed” into oblivion. Now it's up to the Iranian people to follow the German peoples lead of 35 years ago and take “regime change” into their own hands.
Two great presidents striving for peace, but “peace through strength” for “strength” is what makes peace possible. Weakness was not an option for Reagan nor was it for Trump especially with Iran being the worldwide “state sponsor of terrorism,” thus an “existential threat to us all.” Trump gave Iran every opportunity to stop fighting and agree to nuclear disarmament, but it's hard to reason with a radical, theocratic based regime who believe that their cause is just and that God...in this case allah...is on their side.
So now we wait and see what comes next. Will “regime change” happen ...will a “populist/ resistance” movement be able to overtake the remnants of what's left of Khomeini's faithful...will Israel “take out” Khomeini...or will his death, thus martyrdom, become a rallying cry for the ideologues even though the Iranians wanting change far out number them? Or would retaliatory actions taken by Iran lead to further joint Israeli/U.S. actions being needed, as in take out Iran's oil fields thus crashing their economy?

There was something about Mike Pence...something that just did not sit right with me, a sense of foreboding if you will. Maybe it was his overly whitened toothy smile coupled with the way he carried himself...sort of reminiscent of Obama's overly self-confident sauntering across the stage at Billy-Boy's nominating convention. Or maybe it was the fact that I knew it did not look good for the former congressman running for reelection to a second term as Indiana's governor...which meant that if he did lose the governors race that he would be leaving office as a fairly...outside the mid-West...unknown politician who would forever be thought of as a loser. Whatever the feeling was that day know that feeling has never left me for Mike Pence has indeed turned out to be not only a loser but now an American nightmare bar none.
But this is not to say that Mike Pence did not do at least one good thing as vice president...he did. One thing near and dear to my heart...and personal as well...is that Pence took the lead in not only rebuilding our nation's space program including the all important garnering of $8 billion in new funding for “Space Force,” but that he spearheaded the call for a U.S. Mars mission. Other than that, it's my opinion that Mike Pence was but second rate window dressing for larger than life President Donald J. Trump, the man whose very presence literally sucks all the air out of the political room and most especially so when the Democrats started in earnest their still ongoing nefarious witch hunt against our 45th president.Second rate window dressing for sure as Mike Pence has always appeared, to me, to be a milquetoast of sorts, a direct opposite of Donald J. Trump...the man...which makes me wonder why Trump tapped him to be his running mate.
Three possibilities come to mind.
First, was it because Indiana's former congressman and then possibly its soon to be former one term governor remained popular with so-called “social conservatives” and the uber religious far right...aka the Evangelicals...two large blocks of votes that Trump desperately needed if he was to beat Obama-backed Hillary Clinton in 2016? A possibility for sure.
Second, did Trump choose Pence because the Republican hierarchy itself suggested that he do so feeling that Pence was his best bet to shore up support with both Republicans still on the fence about Trump's now running as a Republican and embracing his then new found conservatism? Remember, throughout most of his adult life Donald Trump was a registered Democrat, so maybe that was the reason.
Simply, any of these three scenarios are distinct possibilities for I cannot imagine Donald Trump himself picking a man...a wanna be career politician...a milquetoast...like Mike Pence to be his running mate especially for his second go round. Why so...because it's my belief that Mike Pence was then, is now, and will probably always remain a somewhat shady character for when one's comments and actions...especially with Pence now knowing what President Trump is facing...still seems to relish in spewing backstabbing nonsense which has me wondering just which side of the political aisle Mike Pence's loyalty really lies with. And now with Trump becoming a much heralded political martyr of sorts...a martyr through no fault of his own...how it must pain him to see his former vice president actually digging the proverbial knife ever deeper into his back.
But maybe Trump should have seen this coming...maybe we all should have...for a red flag as to Pence's character should have been, if not raised, at least noted for it has long been suspected that a traitor was embedded within the Trump camp. Could that traitor be Mike Pence...to me that answer is maybe. And why...here's one scenario that has led me to believe so. On May 17, 2017, just one day after the appointment of a special counsel to investigate “supposed” Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, Mike Pence registered what became the “Great America Committee”...a PAC... which on its altruistic surface seemed like a good thing. And why wouldn't it seem so for in it's first two-years in operation said PAC raised more than $4 million to help Congressional Republicans during the 2018 mid-term election. But what most don't know is that PAC's of this nature are usually set up as a precursor to one's own presidential run.Simply, I now believe, especially after reading and hearing Mike Pence's recent comments regarding what many of us still believe to be the stolen 2020 election, is that this PAC was also set up to test the waters, if you will, for Pence's own 2020 presidential run, especially being that Pence would become president if Trump was removed from office. Sometimes traveling the country using PAC monies on what Pence has claimed to be government business, my question is why did Mike Pence feel the need to use PAC monies for some of his travels when he had full use of Air Force 2, especially for government business? Just something to think about...think about and not only question but demand answers to.
It seems Mike Pence has always had veiled presidential ambitions which I believe he has kept hidden until now...ambitions I deem dangerous to our republic for certain aspects of Pence's politics and his far right religious beliefs...he has stated on numerous occasions that not only did, “I gave my life to Jesus” but that his devout religious beliefs are the center of his very identity...beliefs which do lean towards someone who would welcome our becoming a theocracy. So it now makes sense his running for the nomination in 2024 as social issues...the key focus of said religious far right...do at times dominate the current political discourse. But it's not that Mike Pence has any chance of winning said 2024 nomination...his extremely low poll numbers prove just that...but Pence is smart enough to know that the only way to set himself up for 2028, is by doing the bidding of the swamp laden Republicans hierarchy now...a hierarchy who'd rather, I believe, see Joe Biden as president in 2024 than Donald Trump or even (my choice) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
And maybe this was Pence's plan all
along, as in to take an election he knows well was stolen...after all
he watched, as did we, the rightful brouhaha about thousands of
uncounted ballots “miraculously” being found in the middle
of the night while only being tallied after poll watchers/observers were told to leave. And surprise of all surprises, when counted, not only were all votes cast for Biden/Harris, but what were winning numbers in swing states already
tallied and announced for Trump/Pence suddenly were lowered to allow for a
Biden/Harris win. Simply, this makes no sense unless the numbers were
somehow manipulated and/or switched...sort of like what happened back in
2000 with Florida's “chad” fiasco.
And Pence watched all unfold and said not a word possibly having known all along that 2020 would be lost but that by 2028 our country will be so bad off having then gone through yet another four years of Joe Biden that any Republican...even one selling out to the swamp...like I believe Pence has done...would win come 2028.
Why else would Mike Pence now make up lies that Trump and his advisers pressured him into rejecting the certification of the 2020 election in January...why else would Pence tell FOX News that, “The president specifically asked me, and his gaggle of crackpot lawyers asked me, to literally reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives, and literally chaos would have ensued.” And he said this even knowing well that all Trump asked of him was to delay the Electoral College vote until all the voter fraud claims were looked into and resolved...a reasonable request I'd say.So why say what he said...because I believe Mike Pence would lie for his own political gain...as in the presidency...even if it meant a few years wait time to achieve said gain. And in his now appeasing those in the Republican hierarchy of the swamp, Pence hopes it will garner him “brownie points” from those who are already working behind the scenes on the 2028 election.
“Our country is more important than one man. Our constitution is more important than any one man’s career. On January 6th, Former President Trump demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution. I chose the Constitution and I always will,” were also Mike Pence's ever so altruistic sounded words said as he tried setting himself up as the defender of truth and honesty...which he is anything but. And so the man who now says that he has no plans to testify at any of Trump's upcoming trials... unless he is subpoenaed to...and knows damn well that he will be...has actually set himself up to be the recipient of kudos and political love from not only RINO Republicans and those who simply don't like Donald Trump, but will soon to be the recipient of mega dollars courtesy of his reportedly soon to come January 6th memoir...a memoir which he hopes will not only sour the independents on voting for Trump in 2024, but will align their votes for him in 2028.
Simply, it's my belief that Mike Pence is not only a politically backstabbing traitor to Donald Trump, but to “We the American People” and our country as well. Case closed.

In my lifetime I have been honored to vote for two of the greatest modern day U.S. presidents...Ronald Reagan and Donald J. Trump. And while obviously I cannot vote for President Reagan again, I can once more vote for President Trump, as the nomination is his if he does decide to run again. And might I add, that Donald Trump did more good for our country and for the world in his single term as president than those who were president between Reagan's time and his time.
Two quite unorthodox presidents who share political commonalities, with first and foremost being that both men put America and Americans first while at the same time heralding American exceptionalism and triumphs. Ronald Reagan truly loved this country as Donald Trump still does, with both believing in America's greatness being an integral part of their very being. And neither man was part of the so-called D.C. establishment as neither held federal office before becoming president nor did they put up with Democrat partisan driven nonsense. And like Trump, Reagan excelled at campaigning with Reagan being deemed the “great communicator” while still on the campaign trail, while Trump brought in the crowds like no one before him or probably even after him ever will. And as president, both these men advocated for simple yet workable solutions to complex domestic and foreign problems. Trump excelled economically...he was and still is a highly successful businessman who knew how the economic end of the “business of government” should be run. In fact, under his leadership jobs numbers soared, especially for minorities, with record tax cuts for all. And Trump was the man who started the ball rolling towards long sort for Middle East Peace via he and his administration's brokering of the “Abraham Accords.” And Ronald Reagan, a strong-willed man of character, did what most thought was impossible as it was he who brought the Soviet Union down with but a few simple words said at the Berlin Wall on June 12,1987, “Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”And while both men were former Democrats who became conservative political popularists, being champions of America's blue-color workers and heroes to those in America's heartland they, more importantly, were men who actually listened to what “We the People” had to say. And not to be forgotten is that both men were against illegal immigration and for the closing of our southern border.
But above all else, it is my opinion, that under President Reagan's and President Trump's stewardship, America was respected on the world stage, America was listened to, admired, and to a degree rightfully feared, for we were the world's number one superpower with our military surpassed by no other. In fact, while Trump was in office even Vladimir Putin knew not to cross the so-called “red line.” But sadly, that has now all changed for America has become a laughing stock both at home and abroad for with Joe Biden as president, we and the world are bearing witness to his playing political checkers while Putin rules what really is a chessboard, especially in regards to Ukraine's future. And so America is teetering on a dangerous precipice what with the 2022 mid-terms fast approaching, for not only is this election critically important for our country, but is so for the world as well. A world without counted upon American military strength and superiority; a world where America hangs our allies and friends out to dry, that is not the America we patriots nor our Founders and Framers ever envisioned our future to be.
In fact, if the numerous wrongs committed by the Biden administration...which includes the stack of executive orders he blindly signed on day one...are not rescinded in November...we likely will be a facing a future that sees President Reagan's famous words, “America is a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere," being but empty words of what we once were, for America will no longer be respected, trusted, or believed in at all. And sadly, right now we are indeed very close to that point. But this scenario does not have to be for on November 8th we do have one last chance to start setting wrongs right, with November 2024 then completing that job. And while it seems that come the mid-terms we Republicans will be taking back both the House and the Senate we cannot ignore the fact that voter fraud will play...or at least try to play...a big part in that election. Remember, most Democrats will say and do any and everything to hold onto power...after all they do so relish in lying, cheating, and stealing as long as their pockets get lined, never mind the fact that they've successfully turned voter fraud into an art form, something President Trump, unfortunately, knows all too well.
So here lets assume that Republicans have indeed taken back the House and the Senate, and that America is set upon the road of correcting Biden's wrongs. And with Biden now having been rendered politically impotent to do any more harm, the Democrats will set their sights on 2024 where they hope to flip everything back again. And here is where things become critical for we must choose the right candidate...a candidate who cannot only bring in all Republican votes, but independents, and disgusting with Biden's socialist agenda moderate Democrats as well. And know that the voter fraud being committed will be tenfold in 2024.Now as previously stated President Trump is sure to get the Republican nomination if he chooses to run, for the fact is that if the 2020 election wasn't stolen...yes stolen...from him we and the world would be facing a different scenario than we are today. Amongst other things our southern border would be secure, America's economy would be thriving, inflation would not be at an all time high, crime numbers would be down not up, and ridiculous mask mandates and Covid passports would most assuredly be gone. And might I add that Vladimir Putin would not be staging his Ukraine show, Kim Jung-un would not be test firing more rockets, and China would not dare think of invading Taiwan.
It is all about strength and as president, Donald J. Trump made America stronger after the disastrous eight years of Obama's apology tour. Trump had to put up with a lot of nonsense, probably more than any other president has, and he truly does deserve a chance to finish what he started...as in turning America right again...making our beloved America strong again. And, of course, I and my family would again vote for him...no question about that. But here is something just as important as Trump possibly heading the 2024 ticket...his running mate. We all know what a back-stabber Mike Pence turned out to be, in my opinion he's a traitor not just to Trump but to our country as well. I knew he'd be trouble from the beginning when he made that ridiculous statement that he would not even have a one-on-one business lunch with a women since that woman wasn't his wife. Wearing one's religious dogma on their sleeve just isn't my cup of tea...never was, never will be. And while Pence, thankfully, isn't even an option at this point, the who it would be and why is critical for Trump for as per the constitution he could only serve one more term with his VP then running for a hoped for eight year term.
Simply, if Trump does decide to run again he will need a strong man...yes man...by his side, a man who shares his beliefs in American exceptionism, as well as in American military strength for the next president will have to rebuild our military after Biden's (as in Obama's) demanding that they be “woke.” And it will have to be a man who knows... just like Reagan knew...that “government is the problem not the solution” to our problems. A man of strong moral character who will buck the “system” when need be to do what's right for the good of “We the People”...a man loyal to Trump and his all important “America First” philosophy.
And I believe that the best man to complement President Trump as his Vice-President, is the very man who has proven himself both a leader and a man who has rightly bucked both the “system” and the “powers that be”...especially during the covid “scaredemic.” And that man is my great Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a man now respected even by many Democrats. And if anything (God-forbid) were to happen to Trump, DeSantis could step in in a heartbeat keeping both the policies and visions of Trump intact, something most critical in today's dubious times.
And when Trump's now single term was over DeSantis could himself then run for president, thereby extending Republican time in office to twelve years if he were to be elected. And if he picked as his VP someone like South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, the Republican hold on the presidency could actually run for twenty years straight if she were then to run for and become America's first woman president.
Twenty years without having to worry about America becoming a socialist nation...twenty years of doing right by the American people...twenty years of being respected and honored on the world stage. Twenty years would give Democrats plenty of time to once again become the party of JFK, a time when Democrats and Republicans worked together for the good of our country and where American exceptionalism and ingenuity shone bright.
But what if Trump decides not to run again, what happens then? Would a candidate free-for-all be the order of the day...I sure hope not for just such a scenario was what allowed Joe Biden to become the Democrat nominee. Here I would hope that Donald Trump would himself pass the torch to Ron DeSantis. endorse him, campaign for him, and do everything to help get DeSantis elected with Kristi Noem as the VP standing by his side.
Either scenario works for me...I hope, dear reader, it works for you too. Case closed.
