In Defense of the Constitution
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio

...And in regards to today's politicians and political parties we know that partisan politics remains the overwhelming order of the day where loyalty is concerned, when in fact it shouldn't be. Our political loyalties should never lie with one man or one woman alone nor with straight party line ideologies per se, for above all else our loyalties should first and foremost lie with the Constitution...the very document that is the law of our great
“republic.” And without laws...without us honoring and following said laws as put down in the Constitution...we become a nation riddled with overly manipulated, counterproductive, blind following victims of whichever party is in charge of the “political mob” on any given day.

Simply, our Constitution was designed to place our country above such pettiness while guaranteeing us individual rights and freedoms, and along with the Magna Carta (also known as the “Great Charter”) is the greatest of all legal documents ever written. And while the Magna Carta declared the “sovereign”...as in the individual...to be subject to the rule of law, it clearly laid out the liberties that were to be held by “free men,” which in turn laid the foundation for the collective of individual rights and freedoms in what became known as “Anglo-American jurisprudence.”..,Read entire article here.

In Defense of the Constitution
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio

Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution states that before a newly elected president enters the “execution of his office” he shall take this Oath or Affirmation: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

On December 03, 2022 at 7:44am former President Donald J. Trump posted these words on his media platform 'Truth Social' and I quote, “So with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

And so a still ongoing war of words began, words both in defense of President Trump's statement as well as words condemning said statement. And while I freely admit to belonging to the later group...especially when two days later Trump posted that he never said what he said thus making many of us out to be liars...know that I not only supported President Trump in both 2016 and 2020, but that I would do so again if he were to garner the Republican nomination. Also, know that I thought President Trump did a magnificent job on the national front, the economic front, and on the foreign policy front even while at times he was brash and rude, actions which I chalked up to his not being a politician per se, but a true American patriot bar none.

And in regards to today's politicians and political parties we know that partisan politics remains the overwhelming order of the day where loyalty is concerned, when in fact it shouldn't be. Our political loyalties should never lie with one man or one woman alone nor with straight party line ideologies per se, for above all else our loyalties should first and foremost lie with the Constitution...the very document that is the law of our great “republic.” And without laws...without us honoring and following said laws as put down in the Constitution...we become a nation riddled with overly manipulated, counterproductive, blind following victims of whichever party is in charge of the “political mob” on any given day.

Simply, our Constitution was designed to place our country above such pettiness while guaranteeing us individual rights and freedoms, and along with the Magna Carta (also known as the “Great Charter”) is the greatest of all legal documents ever written. And while the Magna Carta declared the “sovereign”...as in the individual...to be subject to the rule of law, it clearly laid out the liberties that were to be held by “free men,” which in turn laid the foundation for the collective of individual rights and freedoms in what became known as “Anglo-American jurisprudence.”

And where the Magna Carta left off, especially in regards to individual rights and freedoms, our Constitution and Bill of Rights picked up including, but not limited to, our freedom from unlawful searches and seizures, the right to a speedy trial, the right to a jury trial, along with the “Writ of Habeas Corpus.” And it's “habeas corpus” alone which affords those detained protection against the loss of life, liberty, or property without “due process of law,” which is the basis regarding the concept of “higher law”...as in law that cannot be altered by executive mandate (meaning “executive order”) nor by legislative acts. In fact, this very concept was taken to heart by our Founders and Framers so much so that it is embedded in Article VI, Clause 2...the Supremacy Clause...as in the “Supreme Law of the Land,” and is enforced by the Supreme Court. Taking priority over any and all conflicting state laws, this means that state courts and state constitutions are themselves subordinate to the “supreme law” of our Constitution.

In other words, legally, the Constitution is above all else and should not be defamed, dishonored, nor be made a mockery of by those in the body politics. The Constitution should be followed as written, thus rendering individual interpretations” but wishful thinking of the disgruntled. And while throughout America's history some have tried to bend the Constitution's words in such a way as to meet their or their party's political agenda, know that has rarely been successful. In fact, at times, it has served to divide the very party it was trying to unite. Such is the case with President Trump who just a few weeks ago announced his third run for the White House, which would have been a good thing if only he had not followed up said announcement with what is unbecoming, unnecessary, and utterly divisive rhetoric.

But before I discuss President Trump's words and his possible but hopefully not true motives, know two other past presidents come to mind regarding issuance with the Constitution.

First, of course, is Barack HUSSEIN Obama the one who sticks in my craw the most. Remember back to September 6, 2001 when in a panel discussion on “Slavery and the Constitution” that aired on Chicago’s WBEZ-FM radio, how then candidate Obama described the Constitution as having “deep flaws” and that our country’s Founding Fathers had “an enormous blind spot” when writing it. Adding that the Constitution “reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day,” what Obama did was turn the Constitution into but a thesis on race relations during colonial times, ignoring the fact that the U.S. Constitution is based upon “human nature and natural law,” things that do not change over time. And while ignorance at times can be bliss, Obama's words spoken that day helped to set the stage for what became his future race based endeavors, including his turning the fight for “equality” into but reparations based “equity”...as witnessed by his flawed policies and laws passed courtesy of Democrat party line votes.

Now remember when on September 24, 2014, then President Obama spoke before the UN General Assembly and stated that, “On issue after issue, we cannot rely on a rule-book written for a different century,” in reference to our Constitution regarding his initiating war in Syria where he took it upon himself to bomb ISIS without constitutional approval of Congress. Ignoring the fact that the power to declare war is clearly described in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, we saw Obama executing war as commander and chief...which is his right...but without the funding limitations for war that the House alone can impose, thus showing a total lack of respect for the Constitution, the very document he swore by oath to “preserve, protect and defend.”

And before Obama, Constitution questioning Republican President Theodore Roosevelt comes to mind when, in an attempted third run for the White House, he criticized the decisions rendered by the Supreme Court that struck down what were so-called “populist” attempts to regulate businesses, including a law establishing maximum work hours for bakers that he considered unconstitutional. And by his saying, in 1912, that the High Court had made the “Constitution a means of thwarting instead of securing the absolute right of the people to rule themselves,” Roosevelt also took issue with the “peculiar function of the American judge and the function of declaring whether or not the people have the right to make laws for themselves.” Roosevelt staunchly believed that the ultimate power belonged solely with the people and not with the Constitution per se, in fact, he even proposed the “popular recall” of judges and their decisions, saying that doing so is “the highest and wisest kind of conservatism.”

Simply, it was not then nor is it now “conservatism” in any way, shape or form, for what Roosevelt proposed bordered on “mob rule.”

By the way, Theodore Roosevelt...who also used nasty and insulting nicknames to describe his opponents...lost his third attempt at becoming president after he basically ignored the fact that America is indeed a nation of laws. Maybe President Trump should seriously consider what happened to Roosevelt instead of even alluding to the  Constitution being “terminated.”

Now remember when earlier I spoke about motives in regards to those who question the Constitution being the law of our land...motives in two of the cases being quite easy to define. For Obama his hatred of America and his call for her “fundamental transformation” translated into his want for socialism to become America's new norm...socialism where the government controls every aspect of one's life...socialism where everyone except the now ruling class exists equally at the bottom rung of the socioeconomic ladder. Most ignored the obvious regarding Obama and America elected him twice, thus setting the stage for the nightmare that would become Joe Biden. And as for Theodore Roosevelt, he was, by his own dubbing, a “progressive,” but not in the same vein as today's uber progressive left for Roosevelt tried to do what he believed to be in the best interest of our country, and in most cases he succeeded.

However. President Trump's words regarding ...the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution...” crosses the infamous red line for neither Obama nor Roosevelt used the term “termination” in regards to the Constitution. And while some claim that is not what Trump meant and that I and others are interpreting his words wrong, I believe I am interpreting them just right for the word “termination” by definition simply means the process of having brought something to an end...in this case the law that is the Constitution. And while his motive in doing so is to invalidate what clearly was a fraud ridden election, Trump forgets that nowhere does the Constitution speak of or even allude to election fraud.

Simply, the laws and processes in relation to our national elections see state and local laws governing the administration of presidential elections with the Constitution focusing solely on ensuring election stability, meaning there are no...I repeat no...Constitutional procedures for how to address or handle questions of election legitimacy let alone fraud. However, our Founders and Framers did give the Electoral College broad discretion to resolve disputes as it saw fit with the the Constitution stating that an election is deemed “legitimate” when the Electoral College says it is. There is no process for a “do-over” in regards to a presidential election even one we all know was riddled with fraud.

President Trump should know this, thus he should not have brought the Constitution up in his written discourse. He and we know that VP Mike Pence should have stopped the certifying from going forward but didn't, thus Pence is as much, if not more so, to blame for Joe Biden being president than those who sanctioned, committed, and certified what knowingly were fraudulent tabulation results. Trump should address his anger at Mike Pence not at the very document he took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend” nor should social media's now deemed “Only Trumpers” be taking pot shots at we who both defend the Constitution and want another Republican to head the 2024 presidential ticket. And they do so no matter our saying that we will support and vote for Trump should he get the nomination.

Simply, the “Only Trumpers” are now as much a danger to our republic as are the “Never Trumpers” for both groups...whether knowingly or unknowingly...are helping Trump divide the Republican party so that no Republican will win the presidency in 2024. With words, insults, and accusations lobbed, these folks are trying to “cancel” out fellow Republicans and conservatives in defense of a man who cannot win in 2024 unless he lets 2020 go for a platform based on vengeance is not what America needs or wants...“Making America Great Again” is. Case closed.

Economic Idiocy...Gillum Style
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

"Gillum is an unabashed champion of his party's most progressive ideas...including things like Medicare-for-all single payer health system, abolishing the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and impeaching President Donald Trump." -
- The Sun-Sentinel, Broward County's main newspaper

Let me start off by saying I love Florida. I've lived here most of my life and I wouldn't live anyplace else. I love the laid back lifestyle, the weather, the beaches, the Keys, Disney World...I absolutely love Disney World especially at Christmas time...and the fact that for the most part Florida is new...new construction, new business, a thriving economy, and a sense that come winter we are the envy of the nation. Sure we at times get hurricanes but most times we don't...Florida is paradise found for most of we Floridians.

And let me also say up front that we Floridians, including most moderate Democrats, do not want our state turned into a Venezuelan socialist-style hell-hole which is the ultimate goal of Tallahassee mayor and now Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.* A self-described progressive and an avowed socialist in the style of Bernie Sanders...who has endorsed him...Andrew Gillum is also endorsed and funded by the likes of George Soros, and has the 'thumbs up' of the entire uber far left wing of the Democrat party. And dare we not forget the 'gimmee-gimmee you owe me sorts' who already have their hands out for all Gillum's promised “free stuff.”

Now playing the race card...a typical liberal maneuver when the issues are deliberately ignored and relegated to the back burner...has Gillum and his supporters clamoring to paint his now Republican opponent Congressman Ron DeSantis...whom I totally support...as a racist with a specific agenda in mind, as in to send out a "racist dog whistle" to 'supposed' fellow Florida Republican racists to let them know that Gillum being black is not someone we want heading our state.

The last thing we need to do is to 'monkey this up' by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases bankrupting the state. That is not going to work.” So said Ron DeSantis the day after the primary, and anyone with even one working brain cell knows well that DeSantis was referring to Gillum's socialist platform and that as governor Gillum would “monkey up”...as in destroy...Florida's thriving economy, and not to his being black. But with the left being what it is and with the media in their pocket, together they made a huge ruckus over nothing except to those who see the color of their skin as all that defines them.

And Miami-native Andrew Gillum's and his supporters rhetoric in trying to turn the governor's race into a black man v. yet another (supposedly) wealthy white man, shows all that it's his blackness alone that defines Gillum, never mind that as mayor of Tallahassee...Florida's capital city...his record of governance is quite dismal. In fact, President Trump in a tweet described Andrew Gillum as “a failed Socialist Mayor who has allowed crime & many other problems to flourish in his city. This is not what Florida wants or needs!”

And how right President Trump is for Gillum's sorry record as Tallahassee's mayor speaks for itself.

Let's look at but a few crime statistics since Andrew Gillum started his mayorship in November 2014:
  • Tallahassee, which is almost 39% black, is now ranked as the most dangerous city in all of Florida with more violent crimes happening in Tallahassee than in any of the other 21 metro areas of Florida that the F.B.I. keeps statistics on...as in 767 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, which is well above the state's rate of 461.9 violent crimes per 100,000 residents.
  • Someones chance of becoming a victim of either a violent or property crime in Tallahassee now stands at being one in 14, with more than 97% of all Florida communities having a lower crime rate than Tallahassee.
  • Leon County, where Tallahassee is located also has the highest crime rate in the state.
And this man who is vehemently against our 'Stand Your Ground Laws' and who can't even bring his city under control of course wants to abolish I.C.E. And this man who while constantly talking about or bringing up race says, “I want to make sure that we don’t racialize and frankly weaponize race as a part of this process,” this very man wants to be Florida's next governor...I surely think not.

But what of Andrew Gillum's platform...a true unabashed socialist platform...economic idiocy I call it...idiocy to such a degree that it could, within a very short period of time, bankrupt our state and see corporations and business running off to set-up shop in other states...more on that in a bit. Saying that his platform throughout the upcoming campaign will focus on issues like health care, investing in public education and clean energy, criminal-justice and gun reform...including the placing of strict restrictions on assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines...Gillum also stated that he wants to “financially empower” the low-and middle-class, and welcome even more Syrian refugees and “undocumented workers”... illegals...into his city than there already are.

Translation: medicare for all; guns for no one; even more liberal indoctrination in our public schools; mosques on the rise; a $15-per-hour minimum wage; and raising both corporate and personal taxes across the board to give to the “gimmee-gimmees” in exchange for their votes.

A true progressive in every sense of the word, Gillum is a proponent of making Florida a sanctuary state. In fact, back in January 2017, Gillum introduced the Campaign to Defend Local Solutions, a movement formed to fight state preemption (in this case wanting the invalidation of state laws that conflict with local laws) when states rescind specific or broad powers from local governments. In other words, Gillum wanted to overrule certain Constitutionally defined states rights by shifting around the relationship between the state and cities, which would create chaos if each local government was afford the chance to do as they so choose.

And who did this appeal to...those on the left clamoring for even more sanctuary cities and more immigrant rights...translation: to garner their votes; those 'supposedly' fighting poverty...translation: increasing “freebies and handouts” again in exchange for votes; those not understanding the true concept of civil rights as per the Constitution; the gun control folks who still don't get that guns do not kill people, people kill people; and Gillum's fellow tree huggers and climate control loons...it's nothing but the 'weather'...period.

In fact, this past February, Andrew Gillum took on Florida House Speaker Richard Corcoran over “sanctuary city” preemption. HB 9/SB308 basically defined and prohibited sanctuary policies and required repeal of any sanctuary policy in effect within 90 days, as well as requiring both state and local governmental entities together with law enforcement agencies to fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities. And of course hypocrite that Gillum is...Gillum the very man who claimed he wants more power on the local level...opposed this bill no matter that I.C.E. announced that they had made a deal with 17 local Florida sheriffs that would have allowed county jails to hold “undocumented immigrants”...illegal aliens...who were arrested on local charges in custody until they could be transferred to I.C.E.

Local power but not for the reason Andrew Gillum wanted.

And so the bill failed...a bill that would have protected we Floridians and put us before illegals...saw one of the reasons why it failed being that Andrew Gillum...the very man who as the mayor of Florida's most crime ridden city...gathered up his band of vocal in-your-face miscreants, trouble makers, and bleeding heart liberals, and actively worked to stop it from passing.

Mission accomplished for the man who champions illegals and to hell with the safety of the rest of we Floridians.

And regarding economics itself, Andrew Gillum has no clue whatsoever how successful economic policies work as these statistics alone show how Tallahassee is so not thriving as some like to claim. For example, Tallahassee's property rate has risen to 22.4%; it's unemployment rate is now over 5.3%; and the recent job growth rate is at -0.7%. And while in August, Tallahassee had a very slight economic upturn after an exceedingly long economic decline, economies in general tend to see a minor bump even though nothing of substance exists to stimulate or sustain it. Tallahassee's generally poor economy should not be the model for the state nor are these anything but great statistics for a major city's mayor wanting to be governor.

Nor is Gillum's economic platform...a platform which includes the raising of Florida’s corporate tax rate by more than 40% from today's 5.5% to 7.75%...is a rate sure to see major corporations exiting Florida en-mass...which in turn will cause many to lose their jobs as well as seeing Florida becoming the “high tax capital of the South for businesses.”

And logic itself would then dictate that for corporations and businesses that do stay and pay the higher tax rate seeing that raise in their taxes being passed on to the consumer via increased prices for goods and services or cause state taxes themselves to be raised...economic idiocy I'd say. And not only does this goes directly against Gov. Rick Scott (R), who has approved a tax cut every year of his governorship, but it also discourages new businesses from opening here in Florida for what one day affects only big corporations and businesses the next day could affect “mom and pop” businesses.

Simply, Andrew Gillum, the man who said, "Being a low-tax state isn’t as big a plus as some people argue..." and who wants to funnel monies garnered from his increasing the corporate tax rate into expanding Medicaid (more “free stuff”) and guaranteeing teachers unions (big supporters of and contributors to his campaign) that the starting salary level for teachers will be $50,000...clearly does not understand Economics 101...as in tax cuts drive economic growth, raising taxes does not.

And like with the policies of Governor Rick Scott, Andrew Gillum's proposed economic policies are also in direct contrast to those of his Republican opponent Rep. Ron DeSantis...a military veteran endorsed by President Trump...a man who clearly understands that a reduction in both corporate taxes and regulations would help make Florida even more business friendly than it already is.

But while economic issues coupled with the issue of illegal immigration...and again the fact that Andrew Gillum wants to make Florida a sanctuary state...will be front and center in this November's gubernatorial race, something that should be taken into account when we cast our vote must be both the moral and ethical character of each candidate.

And on both those accounts Andrew Gillum is neither moral nor ethical (in my opinion). Gillum is the man who after the Parkland school shooting saw that situation as an opportunity to push forward his political anti-gun and in a way anti-police agenda, and who while knowing that certain local gun restrictions are illegal under Florida law still asked Florida cities to pass illegal gun ordinances... ordinances that violated the state’s preemption of the issue. And this led some to claim that Gillum was suggesting that politicians commit acts of "municipal civil disobedience." Was that ethical...no...was it playing to the liberal anti-gun folks to garner votes...absolutely.

Then there's the fact that there remains an ongoing F.B.I. investigation into corruption in the Tallahassee government, coupled with Gillum pulling a “Hillary” when back in August 2017, he was caught using a city-purchased through the mayor's office email system and software to send out his campaign-related emails and messages. Apologizing and paying back the city for the software was but a slap on the wrist, if even that, for in today's politically correct world, Tallahassee's Democrat black mayor running to be Florida's first black governor knew well that he would never really be called to task.

And so the man who said of President Trump during his campaigning that, “We've got a crazy man in the White House. Not only is he a danger to the country and the world, he is a danger to himself,” thinks he's got what it takes to be Florida's next governor. Well guess what...he doesn't. This champion of illegals and the criminal sorts, this socialist whose economic policies border on true economic idiocy, screwed up Tallahassee...we sure don't need him and his cronies screwing up the entirety of our state as well.
