Even In a Time of War 2+2 Should = 4

...Sounds to me like a
“we'll do this for you if you do that for us” sort of game which to some degree is but veiled bribery of sorts, and surely something any president would want to be kept hidden even if good intentions and a war winning scenario were involved.

Simply, illegalities are one thing, and while no technical illegalities are involved regarding President Trump or his family in relation to their ongoing business ventures with certain of the Iran war's key players, the optics of money privately still being garnered, and the possibility of decisions being rendered on the urging of those key players, is really not a good look to have, especially when these same players have a stake in the outcome of the war itself.

Trump's actions in regards to control of the “Strait of Hormuz” are now financially hurting the very Gulf nations he and his family have big money (albeit) legal dealings with, and it's definitely because of our ongoing blockade. So here I say that maybe.. .just maybe...some decisions made by our president are...Read entire article here.

Even In a Time of War 2+2 Should = 4
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor
This opinion piece is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

This is an article I never really wanted to write, but after President Trump made certain statements at an August 14th Republican candidates rally in Long Island, New York... statements like, “After we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated,  pretty soon I’ll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States,” adding that “Insuring Iran could not build a nuclear weapon was worth paying a tiny little bit more for your gasoline.” And to those very words he then also added that, “When you have to pay a little bit more, you’re at $4. It’s okay,” and “I’ll never apologize. I did the right thing;” So it now seemed like the right time to remind folks of certain well documented and verified facts.

And while these facts I will be referring to have been in the public domain for a number of years, the Trump team along with the Trump “can do no wrong” crowd, either tried to bury those facts, downplay them, ignore them, or hope they'd simply just fade away, forgetting that when words are part of the public domain they could, if rediscovered, come rightfully back to haunt.

And while President Trump has done absolutely nothing illegal in what I am about to disclose nor do I...a three time Trump voter...accuse him of willfully or deliberately deceiving “We the American People,” I do feel that certain actions taken coupled with inactions not taken during this still ongoing but not yet won war with Iran, might start to make a bit more sense. And while 2 + 2 two still equals 4...except in “Common Core” math...telling the truth serves one better than trying to divert the discourse to keep us from discovering tried to be hidden facts. And this is especially true when those facts could change not only the logistics of how this war with Iran is militarily being fought, but answers the question on many of our minds as to why this war seems so misguided after Trump switched his original goal of Iran's unconditionally surrendering to his now diplomatic deals fiasco.

So let me start by saying that the old adage, “money is the root of all evil” might actually be shadowing how President Trump is handling this war for whether some care to believe it or not...and again no actual illegalities come into play...the fact remains that our president and his family do have extensive business interests and investments in the Middle East including in the very countries who while on paper are our allies, but who in reality are tenuous, sleep with one eye open, allies at best.

And so here the “follow the money” game begins with big name countries... big monied countries...oil rich countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Eremites (UAE), Oman, and Qatar seeing President Trump and his family, while not owning actual physical real estate in these countries, still having made what are combined real estate (as in hotels, mega-buck luxury apartments, and golf courses), brand licensing, management, and crypto currency monetary dealings with said countries.

In fact, President Trump and his family, besides being developers, are also the co-founders of, and are still directly involved with, the major investment firm “World Liberty Financial” (WLF) which itself is directly linked to the UAE's purchase of a “49% stake” in the family's crypto venture via hundreds of millions of dollars in upfront payments. And this is in addition to both Trump and his family garnering additional monies from digital token sales which are also tied to said investment firm, with its proceeds now reaching upwards of one plus billion dollars mostly thanks to Gulf nation investors...no real surprise there.

The “Art of the Deal” truly come to life...all completely legal...all highly successful...all extremely profitable business deals managed by the Trump family via licensing and development deals...all what Trump has proven to do best. And here might I add my kudos to Trump on his monetary success, while at the same time having his ego stroked by Gulf developers who pay big money to put his name on “luxury towers, golf courses, and hotels” in countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar. See a pattern here...I sure do.

And this pattern itself is what is more than a bit troubling to me in that the actual monetary aspect involved has Trump and his family directly tied into the countries who, during this time of war, remain but tenuous allies at best... allies with agendas of their own...allies smart enough to know that Trump will likely do as they say as his current and future business ventures do hang somewhat in the balance. So why not use the war itself as their bargaining chip...their “Trump chip” if you will...to get Iran to stop lobbing missiles and drones into their oil rich countries.

Remember, the big money players of these countries have much to lose the longer that this war lingers on no matter that Trump originally did state that the Iran war “will only take a few weeks”...and yet those words...that very time frame...now has dragged on, in but one guise or another, for over a year. And with those countries all being key Mideast countries that Trump, and his family, have highly profitable business dealings with, coupled with those countries being either players to one degree or another in the war itself and who now see themselves being the target of Iran's retaliation after U.S. bombs go boom... all I can say is “Houston” we might have somewhat of a “conflict of interest” here in how this war...whether knowingly or not...is being both physically played out, and who exactly is giving the orders in regards to who, when, where, and why.

And here also note that over the past month or so each of those aforementioned countries' leaders have told President Trump to stop or at least slow down the Iran bombings...bombings getting a bit too close to Iran's capital Tehran...and which, as I started to write this article, saw Trump complying with their wishes. And even in his doing so, some of those countries remained“behind his back busy” by privately forging their own alliances with both Turkey and Pakistan...countries technically allies, but allies with fingers most assuredly crossed behind their backs.

Why so? First, Turkey's leader Recep Erdogan is no friend to our ally and war partner Israel as he outwardly despises and vocally condemns her leader Benjamin Netanyahu. And second because while Pakistan remains what's known as a “transactional partner” of the U.S. rather than her being a binding “treaty-bound” ally, we find our relationship with them being defined as one of “deep strategic mistrust.” Why so...because we have more friendly dealings and trust with Pakistan's long time enemy India, the very country who has now forged a working relationship and friendship with Israel as well.

And besides, and this is key, I do not believe that Pakistan's acting as a negotiating go-between for us and Iran has worked out very well as witnessed by the numerous deals made that have fallen apart, ceasefires that have been breached, and Trump's supposed “Red Lines” laughingly being crossed by Iran.

And yet it's Pakistan that remains Trump's go-to in regards to diplomatic negotiations with Iran, leaving me to wonder why...thus I found this interesting little bit of information...the Trump family has financial and digital asset connections to Pakistan through aforementioned “World Liberty Financial” (WLF), and it's courtesy of the family-linked cryptocurrency venture being used as one means of “cross-border payments”* for services or business transactions rendered. Translation: the Trump family has garnered roughly $500 million to $800 million from token sales and its crypto-partnerships with Pakistan,

But again, there's absolutely nothing illegal about this nor with any of Trump's or his family's previously mentioned business ventures. But even with illegalities removed from the mix, I still see President Trump's omission of truth...especially regarding his personal investments in the Gulf region raking in billions of dollars not for our country or the Iranian people, but for he and his family alone. Simply, what currently passes for truth must be separated from made up media news reported truth so that 2+2 actually does equal 4, thus helping to eliminate the optics of what was at the beginning a rightful war, but which now has started to get a bit blurry.

Why so...first because Trump's all consuming obsession with the “Strait of Hormuz” finds him completely ignoring the regime's execution of Iran's freedom fighters still being carried out on an almost daily basis...the very people who begged us for help...the very people he told “help is on the way” but who are still waiting for said help. And second, all his decisions of late regarding to bomb or not bomb Iran seem to be based upon imput received from the very Gulf nations he not only has personal monetary dealings with, but who personally are affected by his blockade of Hormuz.

Sounds to me like a “we'll do this for you if you do that for us” sort of game which to some degree is but veiled bribery of sorts, and surely something any president would want to be kept hidden even if good intentions and a war winning scenario were involved.

So here I say that maybe...just maybe...some decisions made by our president are not really in our, the Iranian people, or the world's best interests, but in his own dollars and cents interests, which can not only affect the war's outcome, but his presidential legacy, and the Republican party's future as well

And again, I am not accusing our president of any legal wrongdoing, just thinking out loud as nothing else in his mishandling of this war seems to make 2+2=4 sense. Case closed.

Channeling Reagan...A Maybe Solution

...And here I think it would be so wise for both President Trump, and all said advisors, to look at how President Ronald Reagan not only combined what was a well thought out strategic approach with military strength, but then he also fine-tuned the diplomatic negotiations to the point where what was called the “Cold War”...aka the “nuclear arms race”...did see in victory the ultimate collapse of the Soviet Union.

Simply, striving to make deals with the enemy when military engagement has itself not ended the war being fought only seems to work successfully when the people...when the government...you are dealing with actually does want a deal to be made...does want said war to end. Why so...because the theocratic dictatorship that has been Iran's reality since the “Islamic Revolution” of 1979, would rather see Iran totally being destroyed...down to every last man, woman, and child...then their having to betray their core ideology via deals being made even with fingers voluntarily being crossed behind their backs...deals they and we know will not be honored let alone be kept...Read entire article here.

Channeling Reagan...A Maybe Solution
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor

Let me start by saying that I totally support both President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in their decision to go to war with Iran. It was the right thing to do on so many levels as Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism, had to be stopped, most especially in regards to their wanting to become a nuclear power. And while our and Israel's combined military forces were successful last summer in negating Iran's nuclear ambitions...for now anyway...what I have a problem with is the timing, the resulting ramifications, and who is advising who.

Why so...because, in my opinion, we and Israel together should have finished the job last summer as Israel wanted to do, but Trump did not as he still wanted to give the diplomatic route a try. And while his intentions were honorable Trump forgot two cardinal rules with the first being we do not negotiate with terrorists, and the second being that any deals made with terrorists are done so with terrorist fingers crossed behind their backs.

However, should have is but a mute point now, as our “Operation Epic Fury” and Israel's “Operation Roaring Lion” did not commence until February 28th of this year. And while we have been extremely successful militarily, as has Israel been in taking out the Iranian regime's hierarchy, we are still in somewhat of a negotiation stage with terrorists...that is if you count the back and forth proposal rejections from both sides as being negotiations.

Remember, Trump gave Iran extension after extension to “make a deal” to end the war on the basis of our strategic military superiority along with our now having basically collapsed Iran's economy. How so...simply by our imposing a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, thus destroying Iran's oil revenue...it's prime source of income...as the Strait is where Iranian purchased oil is shipped out from.

And while many see this as a good thing, forgotten is the fact that when military victory is secured with it should immediately come strategic surrender. But obviously this is not the case with Iran for the regime, while greatly weakened, still is fighting back to some degree, and doing so mostly against its own Arab neighbors.

Also, just as important, is the fact that history has shown, more times than not, that while the victor was successful in collapsing an enemy's economy it's the victor who usually ends up helping to rebuild the economy of the very nation they helped to destroy, and that sometimes it is at the expense of the victor country's own taxpayer dollars.

However, even when diplomacy remains the chosen path to help end a war, the diplomats involved must have an understanding of who the enemy really is. And herein lies a key issue regarding the war with Iran for I do not believe that President Trump and his advisors truly understand who the enemy really is, and what must be done to secure not just victory but lasting peace.

And here I think it would be so wise for both President Trump, and all said advisors, to look at how President Ronald Reagan not only combined what was a well thought out strategic approach with military strength, but then he also fine-tuned the diplomatic negotiations to the point where what was called the “Cold War”...aka the “nuclear arms race”...did see in victory the ultimate collapse of the Soviet Union.

Simply, striving to make deals with the enemy when military engagement has itself not ended the war being fought only seems to work successfully when the people...when the government...you are dealing with actually does want a deal to be made...does want said war to end. And this is something, I now believe, Iran does not want to see happen.

Why so...because the theocratic dictatorship that has been Iran's reality since the “Islamic Revolution” of 1979, would rather see Iran totally being destroyed...down to every last man, woman, and child...then their having to betray their core ideology via deals being made even with fingers voluntarily being crossed behind their backs...deals they and we know will not be honored let alone be kept.

And this is why we are still having trouble...yes trouble...bringing Iran down to her increasingly bloodied knees. Remember, when one engages in the “game of war,” when one is facing what will surely be military defeat, both sides must understand that any deal being brokered is but political window dressing and posturing at best.

And when dealing with a conventional enemy, “to the victors will go the spoils of war,” yet the fact remains that both sides must accept reality over what has become lifelong indoctrinated ideologies. Both Reagan and then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev knew this to be true in regards to the “Cold War,”  the regime in Iran simply does not. And that probably is the reason why no lasting deals with Iran will ever be made, or should be, made without Iran's “unconditional surrender.”

Remember, Gorbachev actually wanted reform in the Soviet Union to take place...he wanted a change in communism's oppressive ideologies...especially when faced head on with Reagan’s strategy of not only “peace through strength,” but with the economic pressures being imposed on the Soviet economy courtesy of the “Cold War” added to its economic instabilities and inefficiencies. After all, building and stockpiling nuclear weapons is a very expensive endeavor most especially for a nation that is under communist rule.

The “Cold War” could well have ended in nuclear war but did not thanks to President Reagan himself being not only an effective diplomat with fine tuned oratory skills, but saw those skills...when coupled with his openness to a one-on-one dialogue...resulting in intermediaries only having to be used quite sparingly.

Simply, Reagan wisely chose to speak for himself. And it was this stance that showed the world both his and our country's strength, which in turn inspired dissidents within the Soviet bloc to rise up against what Reagan called the “Evil Empire.” And it was this very action that helped to both position the United States as the leader of the “free world” while also seeing the Soviet Union officially collapsing as the “Cold War” basically came to a definitive end with President Reagan's now immortal words, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”

I truly believe that President Trump needs a “Reagan moment” to help end the war with Iran. Trump needs that “Reagan moment” to show the Iranian people...to show the protesters and the freedom fighters, some of whom are still being executed...that he has not forgotten them or their quest for freedom nor demoted them to second place behind a war whose prime focus...at least for now...seems to be who will be in control of Iran's oil supplies and distribution.

President Trump needs a “Reagan moment” to rethink how and exactly who should be handling any and all diplomatic talks with those still hell bent on wiping both the U.S. and Israel off the face of the map. And if negotiations are to continue...negotiations which I still believe should never have taken place...remember that Gorbachev wanted to reach a solution, those who are now left running Iran do not...thus it should be Donald Trump himself...coupled only with our great Secretary of State Marco Rubio (and possibly Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu)... who should sit at the negotiation table not his old real estate buddy, his son-on-law, or our vice president who sadly has no true diplomatic experience at all.

And might I add that the “extensions “ must not only end, but no more extensions must be given. Threats do become useless unless a set-in-stone timeline is given, but more importantly is that said deadline must be followed up with promised actions taken.

Simply, if President Reagan could bring down the Soviet Union and end the “Cold War,” President Trump can...likely with Israel's help...bring down Iran. All that's needed is for tangible and sensible actions...including military actions...to replace both the bravado and the threats currently being unheeded. Case closed.

Just a Thought...

I know this post will make some mad and some will question my loyalty, but history itself has shown that sometimes the most loyal of all...the most loyal to our beloved America... are those who are NOT afraid to speak the truth. As a Constitutional Republican I consider myself to be one of those people.

For days now, I have been watching a strange narrative spreading across Western media and social networks: the claim that the confrontation with the Iranian regime is somehow “Israel’s war” and that the United States was dragged into it.

As a Moroccan Muslim and an Arab who has spent years studying the politics of our region, I can say clearly: this argument is not only false—it is intellectually dishonest.

Let us start with a simple fact. The Islamic Republic of Iran has not spent the last four decades declaring war only on Israel. Its leaders openly speak of fighting the “Great Satan” — the United States — and the “Little Satan” — Israel. For 47 years, their ideology has been built around exporting revolution, destabilizing the Middle East, and spreading militant networks across the region.

This is not an Israeli fantasy. It is Iran’s own declared doctrine.

Israel v. Iran...Possibilities and Outcomes
By: Diane Sori and Craig Andresen / Right Side Patriots / Right Side Patriots Radio

“We can't let the world's most dangerous regime have the world's most dangerous weapons”                           - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's words...no ifs, ands, or buts.

True words...rightful words...words as powerful in their meaning today as were the words, “the shot heard around the world” some 250 years ago. Fighting words...words not open for discussion, interpretation nor deviation...a simple thirteen word statement that in its strength should wake up the Iranian people to the fact that it was their government's hate-fueled, religious fanaticism that led to those words even having to be said. Thirteen words of fact, that at the same time opens up the possibility for change...change not just in the eliminating of Iran's nuclear ambitions, but change involving the mindset of those being oppressed... oppressed to the point where a 6th century mentality now clashes with the want for 21st century weapons of war...a dangerous combination whose outcome could well affect us all.

And so with Netanyahu's statement being unquestionable reality, and with the current ongoing situation seeing the mullahs saying “no” to President Trump's “unconditional ceasefire” demand...Iran has much “face saving” to do after Israel caught them “off guard” by inflicting major damage to their nuclear facilities, their military, as well as Iran's mainline infrastructure...damage which will undoubtedly take years, if not decades, for them to recover from.

However, Israel's actions taken have now afforded the long suffering Iranian people with a rare opportunity for securing much needed “regime change.” How so? Simply by Israel's having opened a pathway for the many resistance groups operating separately inside Iran to unite together as one, and actually succeed in overthrowing what is their country's tyrannical and ever so repressive government... a government so mired down in religious fanaticism that when coupled with its decaying 6th century mindset being bolstered with their dream of securing 21st century nuclear weapons...Iran has truly become a threat to us all...a threat that must be eliminated at all costs.

“The decision to act, to rise up this time, is the decision of the Iranian people.”

- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

And so while most of the physical aspects of fighting in this now officially declared war is best left to Israel...with a modicum of help hopefully soon coming from the U.S...what is true and lasting peace can only be secured by the Iranian people themselves. Nation building is not an option nor in this case is it a just cause, but exposing the sins committed by Ayatollah Khamenei against his own people should enter into the public discourse so that Iran's once glorious past can freely become Iran's now hoped for future.

Convoluted logic perhaps, yet it is a touch off point for those oppressed to rally around for once the physical aspects of this war come to an end, whomever or whatever form of government replaces the mullahs, they will still be faced with political, social, and economic crises that existed even before Iran's war with Israel. “Regime change,” while desperately needed, is one thing, but said change must come with workable solutions or else it really serves no purpose, nor does it contribute anything of substance to aid in regional stability, regional security, or true freedom for the Iranian people.

And said change, especially via a much needed “populist uprising”...which have led to massive protests in the past...does not necessarily mean that a new Iranian government would follow in the footsteps of what is deemed to be western style “democracy.” In fact, at this point in time “democracy” as we know it does seem highly unlikely for the simple reason that three of Iran's main ideological factions...as in the reformists, moderates, and conservatives...do have differences and have always had differences regarding major policy issues and decisions, and most likely still do.

But probably the best thing, in our opinion, is for any “regime change” that were to take place to follow the secular ideology that was initiated under then Reza Shah Pahlavi... as in to separate unyielding religious ideologies from what should be a truly secular government. Remember, the Shah replaced islamic laws (Sharia laws) with civil codes based upon French law in order to “weaken the power”of Iran's religious hierarchy; he also established secular schools and promoted a modern educational system where women were included; he promoted women's rights in general; as well as initiating land reforms in what was called the “White Revolution.” Simply, Reza Shah Pahlavi wanted to “modernize” Iran and make it part of the then 20th century world...now Iran needs to become part of the 21st century world which can only happen with “regime change”  initiated by the Iranian people themselves.

However, for an actual “regime change” to be successful in Iran especially in today's heated political world, any new government coming into power must initiate broad based social and economic changes not unlike those of the aforementioned Reza Shah Pahlavi for without those changes...which must include both full rights for women coupled with social reform...Iran would still be mired down in the “what is and what was” instead of what “should and could be.”

And “what is” under the mullahs sees Iran's economy in a total state of disrepair due to not only gross mismanagement, widespread corruption, and broad international sanctions...especially the sanctions imposed by the U.S...but Iran's high inflation rate of 43.4%...which is up from last years 32.6%...has seen poverty increasing throughout the country, with Iran now the recipient of the dubious honor of having one of the world's highest inflation rates. How proud the mullahs must be...sarcastically said of course.

So while “regime change” is indeed most likely to happen once Iran's foolishly taken war with Israel comes to an end with Iran issuing a formal “declaration of surrender,” the first thing its new leaders need to do is form an “interim government” until actual “free and fair” elections are able to take place within a pre-set agreed upon period of time. And when said elections are over and ballots are being counted and tallied...and if said elections were indeed without “interference”...it will be the Iranian people themselves who have decided what type of government they want. And we must let the chips fall as they may as to whether said new government is more friendly to the U.S. and Israel or not...but hopefully it will be.

And with “regime change” remaining on the table for Israel in regards to Iran, it is not on the table in regards to U.S. actions taken nor is it under consideration...at least not yet and might never be...but that’s not to say that “regime change” is unwanted by the U.S. Obviously, “regime change” is both desired and necessary if the Iranian people are to secure the very freedom they so desire, but it's also necessary for the stability of the region, and for global stability as well.

Since 1979 Iran has caused trouble not only in the Middle East but worldwide as well, and for the past four decades has been the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Iran has also been responsible for the deaths of thousands, including American military personnel and American citizens. And know that for the Iranian people...especially for Iranian women...the mullahs reign of terror that is the hallmark of Iran is no less deadly nor less oppressive. Simply, what is the islamic regime as it stands now must go, but as we stated earlier that is not up to us, it is up to the Iranian people to do what they know needs to be done.

Given that, the questions become…how can we get involved, why should we, and who benefits from any potential U.S. involvement?

Obviously, the U.S. has been assisting Israel in a defensive posture, helping to shoot down ballistic missiles being fired out of Iran and into Israel. As that has occurred over the past ten days, Iran has continued not only to issue threats towards the United States, but they have also fired on or had their proxies fire on U.S. assets in the region. Granted, threats are threats, and any rockets fired at our bases and personnel in the region have been minimal, but such actions cannot and should not be dismissed. After all, this comes from the regime that has for four decades been chanting, “Death to Israel, death to America.”

Bluntly put…they mean it, and to ignore it now in the face of a desperate, crumbling regime would be foolish, and could be fatal.

As to why we should become more involved by engaging inside of Iran, it’s really quite simple. While Israel has done remarkable work after showing extraordinary patience over the decades, our engagement even on a rather limited basis, is needed. It’s not that Israel can’t handle this and see it through on its own…they certainly can, but at what cost in blood and treasure? We fully believe that Israel has not only the military resources, but also the intel resources to eliminate the Iranian regime, and their continued threat to the existence of Israel…but it would take much longer to reach that conclusion without U.S. assistance than it would with it.

Israel, we believe, could eliminate Iran’s last remaining nuclear facilities, be they research, enrichment, or weapons facilities with a lengthy and very dangerous ground invasion of some sort. While it may not look like what we would expect with tanks, artillery, and boots on the ground, we know that Israel cannot destroy the Fordow facility from the air. That is where U.S. engagement is needed.

From the air, with B-2 stealth bombers dropping 30,000 pound bunker-busters on Fordow, the U.S. would very quickly eliminate such a deeply buried facility. Israel has cleared the path to Fordow, and potentially other such sites, by wiping out Iranian air defense systems over the early days of this war. Furthermore, Israel has decapitated the Iranian upper echelon of Iranian military leadership, and put the Iranian military into a tailspin. What little is left of Iranian air defense would have a great deal of trouble trying to defend Fordow, as the B-2 stealth bombers would be dropping their payloads from nearly 50,000 feet, and the stealth nature of the aircraft themselves would make them all but invisible to Iranian radar or targeting on a good day.

Make no mistake, Iran is having very, very bad days at this point.

Obviously, there are several scenarios such a U.S. action could take place, but let’s be honest here as our ability to hit a target from 50,000 feet in the dark is better than Iran’s ability to target a B-2 stealth bomber by “line of sight” in broad daylight. We believe a U.S. bunker buster mission is more likely to occur at night, with damage assessment undertaken the next day via a combination of satellite recon and Israeli intel from ground-based positions.

The B-2’s that would carry out such an operation would most likely fly out of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. It’s roughly a 12-13 hour flight from there to Iran, and it would require several mid-air refueling operations both on the way there and on the way back. It’s not at all advantageous for our bombers to land for refueling on the way to Iran, as each B-2 on such a mission would be carrying two 30,000 pound bunker-busters. Landing under that sort of weight would be problematic. On the way back, landing anywhere in the Middle East region would be a security risk, but a stop outside the region may not be off the table.

While the ordinance most likely to be used, the GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator), is designed to both penetrate and crush heavily shielded or deeply buried underground targets. The specs on the GBU-57A/B MOP advertise its ability to reach out and touch…destroy…targets at 250 feet below ground level, almost exactly the depth of the Iranian Fordow facility. We believe it would also be likely that at least one B-2 or perhaps two would take part in such a mission. Note, too, that the B-2’s used for the delivery of the GBU-57A/B MOP can each hold two of them, and that a pair of said bombers could potentially drop four such bunker-busters onto one target, or two each on two separate targets.

That should be, and most likely will be the extent of any U.S. involvement outside of continuing to assist in defending Israel from Iranian missiles. We say “should be”  because it really all depends on the actions of the rogue and crumbling Iranian regime. They’re in trouble, they know it, they’re desperate, and they’re insane. While Iran is running out of ballistic missiles, they do have enough left for an almost unthinkable final act of terror. Don’t be surprised if the insanity of the Iranian regime doesn’t in one last final act, decide on their way down and out, to fit some of their remaining missiles with dirty radioactive material, or God forbid if they do have a functioning nuke as we have long believed they do in spite of reports to the contrary…that they will use it against Israel.

If that happens all bets are off, and further engagement by the U.S. would be back on the table.

As to whom would benefit from the end of Iran’s terroristic regime and the destruction of Iran’s dream of possessing nuclear weapons...with which they would try to make good on their threats to wipe Israel from the map and hold the world hostage...the simple answer is that the whole world would benefit. Peace in the Middle East is a worthy goal, but stability is a much more immediate and attainable goal. While nature abhors a vacuum, political ideologies abhor a vacuum of power, and it will be ultimately up to the people of Iran to see to it that such a vacuum does not happen.

The benefits are obvious for Israel and the whole of the Middle East, but most interestingly the benefit of the fall of Iran’s regime of tyranny might just be the rise of the Trump version of “peace through strength.” By engaging in limited action in concert with one of our greatest allies Israel, President Trump has the opportunity to put the Trump doctrine front and center on the world stage. President Trump has given Iran every opportunity to change direction on their own accord, but when limited action becomes the last resort, a decisive blow, quick, targeted, and coordinated to take down a clear and present threat will be taken.

Israel is not asking us to fight their war for them, and they are not interested in a protracted war. They don’t want our boots on the ground in Iran, and they do not intend to invade Iran. Iran is not just a threat to Israel, that regime is a threat to the whole of the civilized world, and can no longer be allowed to hold sway in the region or hold the rest of the world hostage. It must end now, and Iran's ability to wage war must be destroyed.

If we sit it out when a targeted mission will accelerate the end of the Iranian regime, we can never be “the shining light on the hill” the rest of the world can look to in dire times.

That is the bottom line...case closed.
