"Just a Few Thoughts" on Yesterday's Disastrous Midterm Election
Bloggers Note: I absolutely despise this miserable excuse of a man!
Vance, believed to be the top contender for the 2028 Republican presidential nomination, decried the GOP “establishment” and nudged Republicans to reconsider their support of Israel in his first public midterm post-mortem.
“In the next few months, there’s going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty,” Vance posted on X.
“But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war,” he added. “The president himself said so last night. If you’d like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so.” Read more, see Xx, and photos here.

Decision day is here.
Americans are taking to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the high-stakes midterm elections that will determine whether Republicans retain control of both houses of Congress or lose the majority to Democrats, as the left grows ever more socialist by the day.
The Post is on the ground in New York — where control of Congress hinges on four key, high-profile battleground seats in the few remaining swing districts — and Michigan, where Dem infighting boiled over in the days before the election as Israel-hating Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed aims to win the left’s only vulnerable Senate seat in the midterm, making it critical for the party’s plans to flip the upper chamber.
Watch this space throughout Election Day and Night, as we bring you the latest news and results from key Senate, House and governor races across the US to determine whether Republicans will maintain control of Congress. See LIVE coverage here.

“I would if I needed to. Sure,” Trump told The Post’s Miranda Devine in a “Pod Force One” interview.
Asked whether that applied to everyone who’d worked for him, the president reaffirmed. “I’d do it,” he said. “I did it for J6.”
He pointed to former President Joe Biden, who used his final hours in the Oval Office to pardon Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, the members and staff on the House Jan. 6 committee and a handful of his own relatives — including his troubled son Hunter.
“That’s what Biden did. He gave everybody a pardon,” Trump said.
He dismissed the Jan. 6 panel as “the unselect committee” and “a corrupt committee.”
Last month, Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s (D-Mich.) said at a University of Chicago event that a Democratic majority should prosecute “signature cases” against “the people who enable” Trump. Read more, see video, and photos here.

"That's why I'm an independent," Manchin said on the "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" podcast.
"[Members of the Democratic Party] went from liberal to progressives to DSA. It just keeps going on that trend," he added.
Manchin left the Democratic Party after frequently breaking with fellow Democrats while serving in Congress. The longtime moderate registered as an independent in May 2024.
In a statement announcing his departure, Manchin criticized extremism on both the left and right, saying he had "seen both the Democrat and Republican parties leave West Virginia and our country behind for partisan extremism while jeopardizing our democracy."
Manchin also argued that neither party was willing to "find common ground" or "put country before party." Read more, and see videos here.

Now Trump said the Iran war will end "whenever I want it to end," during a midterm rally in Lubbock, TX on Tuesday. This war is now costing us over “47 billion dollars,” and to date shows no real end in sight either. Not only that, but unlike the Ukraine War, this war is directly affecting each and every American every time we “go to the pump.”
Also, now remember that Israel wanted to finish the job last summer when together we launched lots of bombs that did their job and went boom, and that Israel successfully made sure that many of the top members of the “regime” can no longer “fog a mirror” as they say. But when Netanyahu proposed this to Trump, our Commander-in-Chief emphatically said “NO” that he...I emphasize “he”...wanted to try diplomacy first. How's that been working out for “Mr. I, I, I...me, me, me”...NOT well I'd say.
So here the question becomes, why did Trump foolishly say what he said in Texas on Tuesday...with the answer being to try and “play superman” to his ever adoring die-hard supporters before the midterm election, after all even he knows his overall poll numbers are near an all time low.
A letter led by Rep. Pramila Jaypal (D-Wash.) and signed by 175 House Democrats accused the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security of weaponizing law enforcement against Omar, whose Washington DC home was searched by federal agents earlier this month.
Around 40 Democrats declined to sign the letter from the 214-member caucus.
“Congresswoman Omar is seeking reelection in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district in just one week. News of the search warrant...Read more, see photos and video here.
Netanyahu’s Likud party had 1,085,162 votes (20.65%) after 5,278,597 votes had been counted at 12,032 voting stations, the committee said in an update at 9:08 a.m.
Netanyahu’s bloc, which also includes United Torah Judaism (293,990, 5.59%), Otzma Yehudit (292,985, 5.58%), Shas (277,689, 5.28%) and Religious Zionism-Zehut (250,996, 4.78%), had 2,200,822 votes, or 41.88%.
Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar had 849,121 votes (16.16%). Together with B’Yachad (476,857, 9.07%), the Democrats (340,562, 6.48%) and Yisrael Beiteinu (311,728, 5.93%), his camp had 1,978,268 votes, or 37.64%. Read more, and see photos here.

But no matter which scenario plays out for Republicans on November 3rd, know that either scenario will still signal a very bumpy ride to 2028...and beyond. ]]]
After crossing with his army into Asia, Alexander the Great stopped at Gordium (in modern-day Turkey). He approached the famous Gordian knot — a tangled mass of bark tying an ox cart to a pole, so intricate and tight that no one could unravel it. When told that anyone who could untie the mess would rule all of Asia, Alexander simply pulled out his sword and cut through it — solving the problem and fulfilling the prophecy.
The Ukraine war may be our Gordian knot, but — in our current nuclear age — it is dangerous to cut rather than unravel it.
No one knows exactly how many people have been killed in the Ukraine war, which has now lasted four years and eight months — longer than World War II in the Pacific, the American Civil War, or World War I. There is still no end in sight. Estimates of the human toll vary widely, since it is in the interest of both sides to exaggerate the losses of the enemy while underreporting their own casualties.
