A Laundry List to Nowhere

By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

“I am here to provide Congress with a pathway forward to end the government shutdown.”
- President Donald J. Trump in his most recent compromise proposal to House Democrats

On Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 4pm EST, President Donald J. Trump offered the Democrats yet another chance to end the partial government shutdown in exchange for the $5.7 billion he needs to build the wall. Basically offering the Democrats things they not only asked for and approved in the past yet are currently turning down, saw Nancy Pelosi issuing a statement rejecting Trump's newest compromise plan even before he went on air to present it.

But before we get into Trump's newest compromise to get both the wall built and the partial government shutdown reversed, let's review some recent developments that led up to what is basically the Democrats last stand. And let's start with the fact that last week was a very bad week for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with President Trump “trumping” her yet again...well...actually blindsiding her is more like it.

And so our favorite socialist leaning, illegal loving, queen of all things botox got everything she surely deserved as President Trump literally stopped her in her tracks...going to the airport tracks that is...by denying both her and her accompanying congresspeople, literally at the very last minute, military aircraft for their seven-day photo-op trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan.

Payback can be a bitch now can't it.

And payback Nancy Pelosi got, and rightly so, for this is the very woman who had the unmitigated gall to demand that President Trump “delay” his upcoming January 29th, Constitutionally mandated, State of the Union Address..."delay" it until he reopens the government that is. Citing the still ongoing government shutdown...a shutdown of her doing as Pelosi vehemently refuses to compromise on any and everything “wall or wall related”... this better dressed Hillary Clinton clone also used her self-fabricated lie that said address, if given, raised serious security concerns. But, here too, Pelosi got her comeuppance what with the Secret Service publicly stating that they’re prepared to handle any and all security situations that might arise due to said speech.

And so as dear Nancy, her seven member congressional entourage, and 86 combined family members...who were all were traveling on our taxpayer dime...were en-route to the airport when she got word that a letter from President Trump had just arrived at her Congressional office stating in part that, “I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative.”

Here in its entirety is the letter President Trump sent to Pelosi and I think he was a bit too kind in addressing her as “honorable”...being the true obstructionist that she is.

Nancy Pelosi was now publicly shamed, and rightfully so, as she got caught by Donald Trump in her own lie...a lie that she gives a damn about those 800,000 federal workers now furloughed. How so...because Pelosi knew that if she left the country at this particular point in time that no negotiations on opening the 25% of the nonessential part of the government now closed...would take place...and that the next government pay period would land directly in the middle of the time frame she was away. Simply, Nancy Pelosi knew that by her going on this overseas trip she would basically guarantee that those same 800,000 federal workers would now not receive their second paycheck because no negotiations would take place while she was away thus assuring that no deal... compromise or otherwise...would then be reached. And without a deal in place the government stays closed and the workers don't get paid...but Pelosi knew well that she and her congressional cohorts most assuredly would be paid.

And with but a few simple words put to paper President Trump publicly shamed and called Nancy Pelosi to task for being the true hypocrite that she is. And while the majority of Democrats remain adamant in their belief that it's President Trump and the Republicans who are to blame for the government shutdown...the longest shutdown in government history with us being at day 30 as I write this...they still refuse to even consider the fact that the majority of "We the People" not just want heightened border security but that we demand heightened border security; that we demand a stop to both illegal immigration and chain migration; and that a wall itself must be built and built now.

And so this past Saturday President Trump took to the air to offer yet another compromise bill...compromise number three I believe...as he pointed out that in the past many Democrats have publicly stated, even before the shutdown began, that they did support additional border security but just not a physical concrete or metal barrier per se. But something he didn't say is that most of the Democrats in Congress today even voted for some sort of tangible barrier being built during the "Gang of Eight" days which sadly has me believing a truth few will dare say...a truth that what we are seeing now is not only partisan politics at its very worst but is a simple yet vengeful act of revenge for Trump being president and Hillary not...with America and American citizens be damned thrown in for good measure. And this proves once again that it's all about votes...or should I say votes a wall will stop Democrats from getting.

So what did President Trump propose in his speech that had Nancy Pelosi rejecting it even before he uttered a word...simply...a temporary solution and not a permanent one.

Starting his speech by saying the U.S. had a proud history of welcoming “migrants” but that the system had been “badly broken for a very long time,” President Trump again laid out his (rightful) reasons for building the wall while at the same time making it clear that the wall would not be one continuous structure but one of steel barriers in high-priority areas not already somewhat secured by mountains and water. Never wavering in his demand for $5.7 billion to fund said wall, what President Trump was basically offering the Democrats was three years of deportation protection for the roughly 700,000 DACA recipients (aka “dreamers”) who are currently in the Obama-era program and who have been in this country since at least 2011...thus allowing them continued access to work permits with others getting a “reprieve;” while also offering to extend for three years the temporary protection status (TPS) for some of the 300,000 immigrants from certain Latin American and African countries who are already allowed to work here under TPS...a fair exchange I think for ending the government shutdown and building the wall.

Also offered in the name of compromise by President Trump was $800 million in “urgent humanitarian assistance,” the hiring of 2,750 more border agents and security officials, and the appointing of 75 new immigration “judge teams.” Saying that his proposals were "reasonable with lots of compromise" and would "build trust and goodwill," what Trump actually did was use the Democrats own language and demands against them for he knows well that the Democrats will reject this proposal when it comes up for a floor vote as it directly cuts off at the pass, so to speak, the unchecked flow of illegals who Democrats count on for votes.

“The radical left can never control our borders, I will never allow it to happen,” Trump added while Nancy Pelosi outright dismissed his compromise proposal as both a “non-starter” and “not a good faith effort” believing it to be just a “compilation of several previously rejected initiatives each of which is unacceptable.” Now vowing that House Democrats would pass legislation this coming week to reopen the government because, “Trump is holding the American people hostage with this senseless shutdown,” what Pelosi doesn't get is that she has neither a chance of getting anything she proposes passed in the Republican held Senate or that President Trump will fund and reopen the government before any negotiations on border security is started.

And with that Pelosi is now proposing an amendment to the upcoming Disaster Relief package that would deny President Trump the right to use any and all funding that is hidden within this $12.1 billion package to build the wall. But she forgets that as president, Trump has every legal right to transfer funds from one area to another if he were to declare a “national emergency” (read about that in detail in my article A Speech, A Walkout, and Maybe Now A Wall), and that in the end it just might come to that if Democrats keep playing games with the wants of "We the American people."

But thankfully not all Democrats are siding with Pelosi, with a key one being Rep. Kendra Horn from Oklahoma, who said it best when she called for her fellow Democrats to “grow up and play ball” with Republicans on the wall as a means to reopen the government. Seems there's hope for a few Democrats yet.

So where do we stand now that a gauntlet of sorts has been thrown down by President Trump? First, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already announced that he would put Trump's compromise proposal on the Senate floor for vote sometime this week, and attach it to the above stated Disaster Relief package...which does include seven appropriations bills...thus putting pressure on Senate Democrats not to block President Trump's proposal even though they most likely will try to do just that.

Second, President Trump's proposal is quite similar in its structure to a previous bipartisan bill called the “Bridge Act”...co-authored by Senators Dick Durbin (D-Ill) and Lindsay Graham (R-SC)...which also put forward a three-year “renewal” of DACA-style protection for “dreamers” with the hope that in the intervening years a workable comprehensive and permanent immigration bill would be passed. And while that bill never came to fruition as the naysayers on both side of the aisle saw inherent flaws in it...with the Democrats fearing that the temporary halt to deportation protections would be started up again after the 3-years ran out, and with a number of Republicans seeing it as being akin to amnesty... these same fears are being raised again with President Trump getting expected flack from the Democrats but with a few Republicans, especially Republican media talking heads, chiming in as well.

Most Democrats...including now proven hypocrite Dick Durbin...are saying that Trump's newest offer is paramount to trading a permanent border wall for temporary protections for immigrants...I say invaders...that he could well reverse during a second term in office. And Nancy Pelosi, who lives in a mansion completely surrounded by a concrete and brick wall, reiterated her previous statement that she wouldn’t agree to fund such a structure even after the government is opened because, “The fact is, a wall is an immorality...it’s not who we are as a nation.” On both accounts it's the same old, same old nonsense.

And some far right Republicans are saying that Trump's newest proposal is indeed just another form of amnesty which it is not as it offers no pathway to citizenship. But that fact didn't stop leading Republican pundit Ann Coulter from tweeting immediately after Trump's speech that, “Trump proposes amnesty. We voted for Trump and got Jeb!” However, and this is a pleasant and unexpected surprise, Utah Senator Mitt Romney also tweeted after the speech saying that, “@POTUS has put forth a reasonable, good faith proposal that will reopen the government and help secure the border. I look forward to voting for it and will work to encourage my Republican and Democratic colleagues to do the same." Hell just froze over a bit I guess.

And lastly, the bottom line is this, if this compromise proposal is killed by the Democrats as President Trump and many of us expect it to be...it will prove what some of us have known all along...that the Democrats hatred of President Trump supersedes doing what's right not only for America but for “We the People” as well. And it will also be rightfully perceived by the public as being a slap in the face to all those who came to our country legally abiding by our immigration laws. And this above all else will be remembered in 2020 and so not serve the Democrats well especially with a new Pew Research study now showing that 51% of Hispanic immigrants legally in our country want the wall built and built now... and that number continues to grow by the day.

So while President Trump is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't by Democrats who still cannot accept that Hillary is not president and that their constantly replenished voting block is soon to go poof, in the end I feel all will turn out right for President Trump and that the wall will get built. Remember, the master of the “art of the deal” knows well how to play the Democrats game and divert blame not only for the shutdown but for the disaster that is our southern border back onto those who truly deserve it...Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and their assorted illegals over American citizens Democrat ilk.

Screwed By the Senate Yet Again
By: Diane Sori

“It allows Republicans to show they are committed to ending Obama’s amnesty once and for all in the next Congress. If we agree it is indeed unconstitutional, we have no business funding it when the GOP controls Congress.”
- Senator Ted Cruz (TX.) before the vote on the 'CRomnibus' spending bill

Ted Cruz (along with Mike Lee) tried...he really did...but the Senate rejected his Constitutional proxy 'Point of Order' on Obama's immigration executive action when he directly targeted the funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

Rightfully using the spending bill as leverage to try and stop the implementation of Obama's executive ordered immigration reform, Cruz tried to defy RINO party leaders and their hanger-ons who cut deals with Obama and Reid to try and assure smooth passage of the $1.1 trillion spending bill. So in an attempt to force a Senate vote on said action as a condition for approving this disastrous bill, Cruz presented the argument that the bill violated the Constitution (and it surely does) because it would fund Obama’s plan as it rewrites current on-the-books immigration laws without any say whatsoever from Congress. And Cruz made sure he presented this to the Senate chamber in such a way that it was in keeping with long-standing Senate practices.

"If you believe President Obama's amnesty is unconstitutional, vote yes...if you believe Obama's amnesty is consistent with the Constitution, then vote no." Cruz had said in his trying to get his fellow Republicans to understand the severity of what they were voting on.

And yet the Senate rejected Cruz's arguments for NO other reason than the Senate is still controlled by the Democrats and a large number of turncoat RINOS until...and it can't come soon enough...January 6th when the 114th Congress is sworn in at noon.

Had the Senate sided with Cruz, this "mess of a bill" as he called it, would have been sent back to the House to have an amendment added to it that would have stopped the funding for Obama's unilateral immigration reform. But by a vote 22-74 against Cruz...and with less than half of the Senate’s 45 Republicans voting with him*...this still Harry Reid led Senate proved once again to be deaf to the wishes of 'We the People'...wishes that we shouted loud and clear back on November 4th.

And for those Republicans that voted against him...those like Sen. Bob Corker from Tennessee who had the audacity to call what Cruz did “irresponsible”...RINO extraordinaire Sen. Lindsey Graham from South Carolina who blamed Cruz's actions for causing the garnering of less votes than it would have gotten without him butting in... and Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah who said Cruz's antics irritated a lot of people... it will be remembered by true Conservatives next time they are up for re-election. And just know that payback will once again...as it was just some six or so weeks ago...be a b*tch.

And with that, the 1,603-page $1.1 trillion spending bill...reminiscent in length of the nightmare ObamaCare bill isn't it...and the last major piece of legislation for this year...was passed by the Senate late Saturday night thus avoiding another possible government shutdown. But I say they should have shut the whole damn Obama government down, especially since essential services by law would continue to be funded. And as an added bonus by shutting the government down Obama could go play golf and thus do NO more harm to this country while he was doing so.

In a vote of 56 to 40** the so-called 'CRomnibus' bill (the combined continuing resolution and omnibus funding bill) will now provide funding for NOT only the dreaded ObamaCare, but for most government departments and agencies through fiscal year September 2015, that is except for the Department of Homeland Security which will only be funded through the end of February. And the Republicans say they intend to use the time between now and then to try and find ways to defund and halt Obama's easing of deportation rules...ain't going to hold my breath for that one...but with the new Republican controlled Congress being seated come January there is a possibility...albeit a remote one...that they can pull it off...that is if the party unites and stops all the in-fighting.

But this very in-fighting between the RINOS versus the Conservatives and TEA Party Republicans...in-fighting NOT of Cruz's doing in my opinion...has now afforded 'Prince' Harry Reid the opportunity to move ahead next week...before this lame-duck Congress goes on Christmas break...with the 24 Obama nominees who most likely would NOT have been approved come the new Congress...nominees like 13 district court judges, 11 nominees to administration posts including customs enforcement officials and Carolyn Colvin to head the Social Security Administration along with the ubber liberal Vivek Murphy for Surgeon General.

Just a bit more of anything but happiness thanks to the RINOS who would NOT support Cruz.

But what was even more surprising about this final vote is that six Democrats actually sided with the Republicans against passage but NOT because they saw Obama's actions as wrong but because of two provisions in specific that they did NOT like...one a provision that weakens the Dodd-Frank Act's restrictions on banks that allows the banks to back their bets with taxpayer-backed insurance, and the other a provision that allows for an increase in the amounts that wealthy donors can give to major political parties. In fact, some Democrats claimed that these two provisions would have allowed already wealthy Wall Street employees to earn even more money, which they believe Republicans in turn would use to 'reward,' if you will, those who backed the spending deal.

Accusing the Republicans of kick-backs now aren't they.

But NO matter who voted which way, the bottom line is that 'We the People' are screwed and stuck with a monstrosity of a spending bill. And while the bill as passed does block funding of the 'risk corridors' (insurer's cost projections that in reality could cause individual plans to end up costing more than the insurers projections) that under ObamaCare could lead to a government bailout of the insurance companies at a huge cost to the American taxpayer, and does cut a bit more funding to the EPA to a tune of $60 million as well as prohibiting the IRA from targeting conservative organizations because of the way they chose to exercise their First Amendment rights, this 'CRomnibus' bill very unwisely caps spending for all-important national defense at $521 billion...very dangerous in this ever-expanding violent day and age of the islamic terrorist.

So as this sitting Congress soon retires for the holidays and as a new Congress gets ready to be seated, at least we start 2015 knowing we NO longer will have to deal with 'Prince' Harry Reid blocking every bill that originates with Republicans. But sadly, we also know that at least for now, work visas are still on the horizon for at least five million Obama-made legal ILLEGALS and all because the RINOS amongst us did NOT get that Ted Cruz was right...once again.

Playing devil's advocate
By: Diane Sori

“He gave the president exactly what he wanted, which is exactly what the Republican Party said we did not want.” - Rep. Tim Huelskamp R-Kansas

Some traitors are obvious...the names Barack HUSSEIN Obama and Hillary Clinton just roll off the tongue...but sadly some traitors cause one to sigh in total disillusionment...and Speaker of the House John Boehner is one such man...or is he.

Leading the Republican push to raise the government’s borrowing limit until March 2015 without any conditions, on the surface it appears that John Boehner sold his country, his party, and 'We the People' out...yet again...as he bowed to the will of Barack HUSSEIN Obama...the man he knows damn well is on target in his quest to implode our country from within.

And 27 fellow Republicans* voted right along with him.

This 221 to 201 vote represented the first debt ceiling increase since 2009 that was NOT attached to other legislation. And thanks to Boehner the Republican party is for now even more divided. Appearing to set off a battle between TEA Party Republicans...translation: fiscally responsible Republicans...and the 'old guard' establishment types...the last thing we need as we countdown to the mid-terms is any more division between the party loyal and the party's next generation of leaders.

The last thing we need for sure but could this move of Boehner's have actually been done to bring the two factions together...let me explain.

Playing devil's advocate, let's look first at what this vote appears on the surface to be...Boehner's supposed sell-out appears as an out-and-out victory for, as well as a total capitulation to, Barack HUSSEIN Obama and Harry Reid who must be 'high-fiving' each other over the fact that they pulled off yet another screwing of 'We the People'...or did they. And I just bet those Senate Republicans... Republicans who stood in unison with the Democrats in saying that spending money for previously incurred obligations and debts is a must to assure the financial standing of the federal government ...must have salivated as they awaited their turn to vote to complete the 'supposed' sell-out of the American people...the American people who elected them to their bidding NOT the bidding of what looks like to some to be a traitor.

And in his outward pushing for this approval without attaching 'conditions' Boehner showed exactly where he stood in regards to our veterans for he dropped the condition that would have tied the debt ceiling increase to a repeal of cuts to military retirement pensions...but what's NOT being said...at least by the media...is that this will still be voted on as a stand-alone measure, meaning these cuts can still be done away with.

And so it appears that the 'Boehner Rule' of 2011,where he stated that any debt ceiling increase must be offset by an equivalent spending cut was just empty words. And right now it sure seems that way. However, those Republicans who voted for this approval are presenting a far different scenario as they are saying they voted as they did to avoid yet another politically damaging legislative impasse over spending...and they just might be right as now some leading Republican strategists and pundits (including Townhall.com's Financial Reporter and FOX News Contributor Guy Benson) are coming to their defense saying that what appears to be a debt ceiling capitulation actually is a clever ploy by Boehner to keep the focus one hundred percent on ObamaCare come the mid-terms...as it should be because ObamaCare is Barack HUSSEIN Obama's Achilles heel.

Remember, many Democrats up for re-election in November are already distancing themselves from ObamaCare, so a smart Republican strategy would be to use ObamaCare against them...to slam them with it non-stop...but that can't be done if other issues are hanging around. So now let's think this through more clearly and realize that by this vote coming down as it did...with Boehner knowing beforehand that he did NOT have the votes to stop it...the Republicans have now actually cleared off their plate and taken away any of the obstacles the Democrats could use against them.

Everything else still hanging around can and will be voted on separately and how the Democrats vote on those issues...especially anything involving our military and our veterans...will be completely owned by them along with any and all ramifications that come with their votes. And this translates into the Democrats NOT being able to blame the Republicans for causing another government shutdown because they refused to raise the debt ceiling.

Poor Democrats...anything that happens from now on they will have built...and they will now own.

So if you look at it this way Boehner's move was actually quite clever for now Republicans across the entire ideological party spectrum...from hardcore Conservatives to TEA Party Republicans to the more moderate Republicans...all who are in agreement that another round of political brinkmanship most likely would harm the party come November...just like it did after October's government shutdown...has now had all obstacles and baggage removed by this one vote, thus clearing the way for ObamaCare to be used as the arrow to be shot right into Obama's Achilles heel.

And the prize will be the Republicans re-taking the Senate and increasing their majority in the House...and maybe just maybe this was John Boehner's plan all along. After all, even a RINO...like a broken clock...is right twice a day.

And from a devil's advocate perspective it does make sense, but I'll leave it up to you to decide...

Dishonoring our military yet again
By: Diane Sori

How far we have fallen when the only solution to Obama's out of control spending is to put the burden upon the backs of those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe and free at home.

The last time Congress adopted a budget was in 2009, but last week in step one, the Republican controlled House passed the Ryan/Murray Bi-Partisan Budget Bill NOT because it was a good bill...in fact it barely puts a dent in the deficits predicted to lessen in the short term but grow much larger in the long term...but because they feared yet another government shutdown and its negative ramifications as we head into the 2014 mid-term election year. And it's so sad that everything the House now does is done out of fear instead of doing what's right, and it's usually 'We the People' who end up on the losing end when all is said and done.

Now however, our troops, our veterans, and those coming home severely wounded due to the horrors of war...especially those wounded in the time since Barack HUSSEIN Obama gave the enemy our timetable for withdrawal...are the ones being hurt...are the ones who have been told they must now carry that added burden on their already hurting backs for quite simply, this budget cuts military pensions and benefits instead of cutting discretionary spending and most importantly, cutting the existing welfare benefits for ILLEGAL aliens.

And to that I say, 'shame on Paul Ryan and Patty Murray' for this is their bill with their names on it and they knowingly allowed this to happen... knowingly allowed our commitment and our sacred trust to our wounded warriors and those who valiantly served to be negated in favor of those who have NO right being here in the first place...relegating those who defended our country to second place below the people who entered our country ILLEGALLY.

NOT even come close to addressing the tax welfare loophole granted ILLEGALS who file tax forms, this bill instead cuts retirement benefits for military retirees by $6 billion over 10 years...and this is beyond merely wrong...it is downright criminal for these ILLEGALS are indeed criminals just by the very nature of their being in our country in violation of our laws, yet they are the ones being given free rein to bilk both our welfare and health care systems and will be allowed to continue to do so. They get a pass...another free ride...while this bill strips away certain monetary benefits rightly afforded to our returning troops, disabled veterans, and military retirees.

Being eligible to retire after 20 years at half pay, those in our military who thought they were exempt from the cuts to military retiree pay now must realize that they are NOT. And these cuts, when all is said and done, will add up to about a loss of $124,000 in benefits over a 20-year period as those affected will lose a full percentage point from their cost-of-living raises when they retire after said minimum of 20 years of service.

In fact, when Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala) wanted to add an amendment to do away with this provision it was voted down...voted down even for discussion. Sessions wanted to eliminate an estimated $4.2 billion in annual spending by reining in that very IRS credit that the illegal immigrants have claimed.

And so ILLEGALS, civilian and government employees all get spared from any cuts with this budget bill yet those who served our county get as they say...screwed. This bill affords NO cuts to Congressional pensions, benefits, or salaries, and NO cuts to the salaries and benefits of their staff, yet those coming home NOT whole...our country's true heroes...and those retiring who might need continuing services are the very ones that each and every member of both the House and Senate who voted for this abomination just turned their backs on. And they should all hang their heads in shame for how dare they dishonor those who fought for them...those who bled for them...and those who gave their lives for them and for our flag for when our vets are shamed those who made the ultimate sacrifice are shamed right along with them.

How dare they...

And Patty Murray (D-Wa), the co-originator of this bill, had the audacity to pass the buck for the military cuts being made...blaming everybody but herself...as she said when asked by Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss) why the military is being targeted to bear the brunt of the cuts, "I would suggest the senator ask that question to Chairman Ryan."  And even worse than Murray's arrogance, Paul Ryan's staff issued a statement defending the cut saying pensions to middle-aged military retirees are "an exceptionally generous benefit, often providing 40 years of pension payment in return for 20 years of service" and noted that "most begin a second career after leaving the military."

How far this once respected Vice-Presidential nominee has fallen from grace...how far the noble fall when influenced by the corrupt.

Our severely wounded warriors...many of whom are multiple amputees and many with severe brain injuries will NEVER begin second careers. These most severely of the wounded need the full retirement benefits promised them for they face a lifetime of much needed medical care. This bill takes away a certain amount of those monies as it actually sticks the wounded with the cost of new government spending instead of helping to ease the hell they go through just to live some semblance of a normal life.

How dare they...

And so yesterday, in a 64-36 Senate vote, this bill passed in full and now moves on for Obama's signature as it temporarily...as in for two years...eases some of the cuts to government agency budgets already in place because of Obama's built and owned sequestration. Restoring $45 billion...half the amount scheduled to be automatically cut from the 2014 operating budgets of the Pentagon and some domestic agencies, and now providing an additional $18 billion for 2015 that would basically freeze spending at the 2014 levels...or so they claim...it's our rank-and-file military...those who served and those who gave all...that are the ones once again being thrown under the bus and this time sadly with some Republican help.

And that most dishonorable of help comes in the name of the nine Republican Senators who joined all 55 Democrats in voting for the budget's passage...Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Georgia Sens. Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, and Arizona Sen. John McCain...who more than most should know the pain of those wounded with bodies broken by the horrors of war. These nine Republicans all sold out our military and now all need to go.

Bottom line...it is simply NOT acceptable to hurt in any way those who protect us and this bill hurts America's brave...America's true heroes...in ways that should NEVER be allowed to happen. And this bill will rightfully come back to haunt those who supported it for 'We the People' will come to the aid of those we honor the most...our troops, our veterans, and our military retirees.

And this daughter of a veteran salutes you and God bless you all.

Op-ed:
A Democratic budget dressed in RINO red
By: Diane Sori

“In divided government, you don’t always get what you want,” said Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Budget Committee and co-author of the new bi-partisan budget deal.

Reaching a deal a month before the January 15th deadline when existing funding to operate many federal programs runs out, the Paul Ryan/Patty Murray bi-partisan $85 billion budget accord in a word ‘stinks.'  And it ‘stinks’ big time for this deal removes spending constraints and cuts which when announced brought a smile to Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s face as he urged Congress to hurry up and pass it…and that in and of itself should tell you just how bad this deal really is.

And while I believe Paul Ryan, in his heart, did NOT want Republicans to be blamed for yet another messy government shutdown as we head into the 2014 mid-term elections, this deal was still a sell-out…sort of the budget equivalent of the deal we just gave Iran as Ryan…channeling his inner John Kerry…willfully put aside our conservative fiscal core beliefs getting ‘We the People’ nothing in return except avoiding the looming January 15th government shutdown that actually should NOT be avoided but welcomed...for this Obama government simply does NOT work
.
And as expected, this deal was heralded by House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor. But it still rightly faces a challenge from true Conservative Republicans and TEA Party supporters in the House, and if it’s to be passed it does need support from the Democratic House minority.

“It makes sure that we don’t lurch from crisis to crisis,”
according to Ryan, but once again the devil of the crisis is in the details for this deal actually allows federal agencies discretionary spending increases for fiscal year 2014 and fiscal year 2015 to a tune of $63 billion over that two year period with NO entitlement savings…as in NO cuts to the freebie and handouts for the ‘sponges’ who are the so catered to future Democratic voters…and affords provisions within this proposal for that very raising or initiating of fees…in other words ‘political speak’ for raising taxes.

Claiming any of those spending increases would be offset by spending reductions…reductions including a $6 billion cut to military pensions thus screwing our military yet again…and increasing ‘fees’ (translation: taxes) elsewhere in the budget amounting to a tune of about $85 billion over a decade…that equates to NOTHING but a joke that hopes to dull the pain of the automatic still in-effect ‘sequester’ spending cuts. So all this mumbo-jumbo simply means is that a miserly cut of roughly $20 billion in the nation’s $17 trillion debt would actually be made…chump change in the scope of things.

The only good thing I can see in this entire deal…and even that is NOT all it seems…is that federal government workers would be required to make larger contributions to their own pensions. But in doing that an increase in the form of a federal security 'fee'...as in tax...will now be put in place that adds $5 to the cost of all round trip flights…translating into if you dare stick it to the government they will stick it right back to ‘We the People'...and as expected they’ll stick it by hitting us in the pocketbook…yet again.

And here’s a little bit of added happiness that hovers over the passing of this proposal…since this proposal as written does NOT include an extension of benefits for workers unemployed longer than 26 weeks…and I mean the truly unemployed who are out there looking for work NOT the ‘sponges’ …this means that up to 1.3 million more people possibly will be added to the existing 91.5 million people who have already dropped out of the labor force with yet another 800,000 more projected to become unemployed over the next few months.

So knowing all this I sure hope every single word of the Paul Ryan/Patty Murray budget proposal is read BEFORE it’s passed or it will come back to bite for much of its proposed savings actually would come near the end of its 10-year projections as just $11 billion would accrue in the first three years, an amount that will be far overshadowed by the $63 billion in new spending allowed this year and next.

Thankfully, a few Republican Senators took Economics 101 in school, paid attention, and actually understood its principals. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is one of them for as soon as the deal was announced he denounced said deal by saying, “This budget continues Washington’s irresponsible budgeting decisions by spending more money than the government takes in and placing additional financial burdens on everyday Americans.”

And so a vote on this proposal could be called in the Republican controlled House by tomorrow, and if passed the Democratic controlled Senate could vote on it late tomorrow afternoon or early next week. But is its passing a given...NO one knows for sure as some Democrats have now voiced opposition to any and all deals that dare to touch in any way federal government workers’ pension funds (including the afore mentioned having workers pay more into said pensions) without asking for even more sacrifices from wealthier Americans.

And back we go to 'redistribution of wealth'...sigh...
